I'll be blunt, you can train against me. I will push as hard as you do, go as hard as you go, and see if you can really make me 'snap'. Winner wins and loser loses with no penalties. This is for training purposes only.
To that end, this is a serious arena, we will not be playing 'tier -x' games. If you really can't do it in tier 1 or possibly tier 0 then don't bother. This is to help raise skills with wording and the like, not to prove how much you can do. Let face it, we can all do something and say "I win", but it is our job as some of the "best on Gaia" to uphold ourselves with an elegance.
You should really be able to win without some unrealistic destruction of doom. If I can do it, you can do it (N1).
Of course you can face other people here, just invite them to come.
Setting: A grassyfield on a warm day, sun is not shining too brightly and there are some clouds in the sky. The earth is not moist, but not hard either, easy to dig into.
Rules: Do what you gotta do, if winning is all that matters to you go ahead, just know that you will not get better through unreal attacks.
[ N1: The match Seta and I had was for fun and somewhat of a joke just to see how high we could push the limits. In real fights, I do little to nothing concerning "ultimate moves" and the like. Devastation is not my way, it just seems that people cannot grasp that if you looked at my other fights you would know that. Many times I can destroy a guild without killing someone. ]

Strat walked through the grass, looking around him. His first spar here at the stadium. In preperation, he had covered the blades of his double edged b*****d swords in thick leather. He had taken them out, and was whirling them about whimsically, before setting them down and doing a few stretches. One can't be too prepared for battle, even a spar. as he picked up his blades, he holstered one, keeping the other in his right hand. He was a little edgey, and adrenaline filled. He was ready for a fight. ((If you find anything a little eh, please tell me. It's very hard to offend me, and I'm here to become better at this.))

[ First, we will learn one of the most important things that "super-RPers" do. Always, regardless of the situation, state distance. If you are dealing with a sneak attack, you will want distance. Oh, and this is a battle situation, thus state your stance [ knees bent ready to run ], potential action [ the left sword in his hand ready to slash at any moment ], distance [ 30 feet ], and though it will matter later, how you will handle one set of moves [ the arial attack was a failure because his legs wer bent, thus he simply ran to the right and stuck out his weapon for the enemy to be strewn across the field and impaled on. ] However, for now lets focus on distance. Its one of the most important things, just a little less important than timing... Also, relatvity to the opponent is not required, but it is good. If you are a little to the right of me you dictate my action. ]
The monk, who had been meditating senses an entity whos heart beat was that of a warrior. Higher than usual he figured that he was here to train, he also heard the pumping blood in the man's veins, and that meant he was excited and ready to do something active. The stretching of muscles also seemed to create that tension that would be coming from battle. The man stood and faced the newcomer, turning about 45 degrees to the right to do so. With that being said, seeing as the man had two weapons, Drake formulated two weapons for himself. Just two sticks though, no blades, but they wouldn't break easily for they were made out of mana saturated wood.
Now about 60' [ feet ] off from his opponent he smirks and begins to prepare. He is not standing in any particular stance, however he is somewhat tense which would allow him free movement in a tight situation if he so needed it. His sticks were more for going on the counter-attack than going head to head with the opponent. If the opponent tried a speed attack, Drake would be able to block easily, and thus he would be trying something else most likely.
"Come."
[ Those are my examples. Whenever you go first, you ALWAYS want to set the distance, distance is critical in reaction time and usually it breaks down to distance when it comes to life and death. Remember, staying a good distance is a great idea unless of course you are confident in your abilities really close to an opponent. I also gave what move would most likely not work [ yes, you can lie, I don't but you can also give you weakness and people will use your strongpoint against you. ], my stance [ which while there isn't one, I would be able to move quickly due to tenseness and preparedness ], and what I was prepared for [ to counter attack ], all of these things will help you in your first post show what you are ready for and will give you the ability to explain whatever you need to explain without OOC wars. If its in your post you were ready to dodge a slash then when you do there is no confusion. ]
[ Note: You can just ignore the above if you wish, its just suggestions, do as you please in your posts. I'm no guru. sweatdrop Just trying to help. ]

((What do you mean by that last post? I found your tips quite helpful, actually. And would love if you could give more.)) Strat ran towards the man at full speed, twirling his sword in his right hand, more out of habit than anything. At about fifteen feet, he dug his heels into the ground, sending a bit of dirt flying, and bringing him to a stop at eight feet. He began circling him clockwise, facing him while making side steps. He had his hand up towards his face, ready to block or punch, if the man got in closer, while his sword was raised and pointed at the man's torso.

[ sweatdrop ]
The man, who was in the center of this cirlce was being patronized, but this patronism was from afar, no need to move at all. He would await the man in the center, still able to more quickly, still eight feet away.
[ Power Tip #1: When you do charge, never type "at full speed" unless you are countering. Heres why, 1.) If they throw something like a shuriken at you, you will have a harder time with it. 2.) If they counter by stepping out of the way, you can't just "stop" and block or whatever, you go by them leaving you somewhat open.
Try to just move with speed, not top speed, but close the distance quickly. As in something like this... ]
X ran towards his opponent. He was quickly closing this distance but moving just fast enough that he could easily stop or backpeddle if needs be. This was to prevent surprise attacks by the enemy and thus save him from being cuaght off guard at a speed where he couldn't stop.
[ However, I must commend you, you did the right thing by stopping before you reached the opponent. Always just close the space unless you are sure of the hit, it helps to keep a little distance between you and your opponent who might be awaiting the chance to counterstrike your charge. Many people make the mistake, alot of them pay for it. You won't be one of them. ]

Strat began slowly tightening the circle, until he was in at about four and a half feet. He took a deep breath in, filling his flame bladder. He then exhaled, realeasing a six foot flame towards the man's thighs, while striking with a flick of his wrist the blade heading towards his forehead.

The man took the simple action of ducking and rolling out of the way, it was simple, but effective as he did a roll and ended this manuveur with a handspring which landed him on his feet about 3 feet away. His pants were a little burned, but, then again, they weren't expensive anyway. He did not care.
He was of course ready to move if needs be, but then again, would needs be?

Strat walked towards the man, but thrust his blade towards the man's left ribcage and directly after rotated around him counterclockwise, arm ready to deliver a fast punch if he jumped to the right from the blade.

He monk simply moved his left foot behind him simply nullfying the manuveur altogether seeing as it was now pointing at nothing. His left ribcage was fine, but his shirt on the other hand was torn. When the man rotated, the monk simply jumed to the left, defeating the purpose of the move and giving him a good 4' distance again. He was not to attack the trainee of course unless he was either encouraged to, or put into extreme danger.

Strat talked in a rough growl. "Come on, is this all you do? Jump and dodge? I came for training, not a headache." Strat hopped a few feet away, as to open up a small bit of distance. He stood there, the sword raised over his right shoulder, his hand still hovering in front of his face.

"..."
The monk instantly broke out of his "evasion" and went in. No, he had no weapon, and he did not need one either. He did charge in, he was goung ti tackle him... Or something. Of course, he might not be tackling him, who knew? All that was known is what could be see. Hid bodliy positions were:
Right Leg: At the point of about 5 inches off, this was off the ground, raised high enough to deliver a swift kick that would completely shatter his ribcage due to the fact that it had the force of a truck behind it. And with its speed easily making it to about 70 miles an hour plus his actual moving speed being about 100 mph the change in force and speed would actually make the kick alot stronger, the speeds wouldn't add, but instead the PSI (pounds per square inch) would rise almost instantly from the fact that his foot would want to keep going due to inertia and this thing would be trying to stop it. I think the foot would win, especially since it was much small than a real truck forcing all the energy into one concentrated point which would again make it much much more effective since not all of his body would be resisting this blow.
At this point however, he had not kicked, he was prepared to, but it could just as easily turn into a knee if something went wrong, but the knee would be faster seeing as there was less work to be done, and thus deadlier than before; unfortunately it would also be lower and be striking the groin or pelvic area which might inhibit his ability to stand. If it did then indeed he would be in trouble, and seeing as the knee, versus the kick, would be hitting at 80 miles an hour the actual PSI might drop, but if he wasn't moving it would not matter.
Left Leg: Springing this foot was still upon the ground, however, in an interesting twist his knee was bent as he ran up to him. This would allow him to suddenly increase his speed by pushing off of it by two fold. Once again about 5 inches off he would almost "instantly" catch up to the man if he backpeddled, also, since it was his left leg he could jump and spring to the right by shifiting his weight to do so. To that end, moving right was about as good as standing there. This would probably force his opponent left, which was a good thing.
Atop this was the actual attack capabilties of this leg, first it could and might spring off and knee the man in his face which would basically kill him by hitting him in the jaw, nose, and forehead. If the brain jarring didn't get him, shoving his nose cartilage into his brain would, and if that failed then of course smashing his cranium would without a doubt do so easily, oh and legs not forget the snapping of the neck which was bound to happen, breaking and tearing of the spinal cord, and well shock and trauma which would paralyze him. The PSI would be higher due to the leg hitting slightly slower than the right due to the distance it had to overcome at about 65 mph. But then again, what was wrong with that? Nothing, most people can't take 20 to the head, this guy was going to take about 3 times as much if all went well. Of course, it could break out into a kick as well, that kick would be aimed for the top of his chest, and with that being said he would be killed if his aorta collapsed, his chest cavity collapsed and got his lungs, perhaps his liver, heart, or stomach would be skewered by his own bones. So many ways to die, and with the pressure being simply outrageous it would shatter him like glass. His foot had a good chance of actually going through him with that much force.
Of course, if he ducked he would be facing his own head being simply lobbed off like a soccer ball. Gone and no more it would be as it went for a good 6 or 7 hundred feet off. It would be further but how can one kick a head that far with all the tendons and resistance you meet from the body itself? IT wouldn't matter though, ducking would be the stupidest thing he could do, especially since the monk's center of gravity was about 8" [inches] off the ground.
Right Arm: His hand was clenched with the thumb outside to prevent breaking it, knuckles sharp and ready for the hit. But he did something interesting; he punched to the right, or cocked and aimed that way anyway; this master of war was prepared to knock this man out, if his opponent did jump or move to the right a swift blow to the diaphram would wind him, possibly knock him out cold. Also, with the speed being about 60 the PSI was great as well as the fact that the knuckles were smaller; if anything this man would have marks, cuts, deep in him from the knuckles. He would be feeling the pain literally seconds after the strike, because it would tear up his pain receptors and nerves in the immediate area and his brain would have to reconfigure. It did not matter that the man obviously wasn't human, with the monks being able to punch through things hundreds of times tougher he couldn't be hurt by this things skin, or really and skin for that matter. Unworried he would shatter armor, it would be easy for him to simply release this nightmare upon his foe.
Of course, he was prepared for the "what it" and prepared his elbow, if the man jumped straight up the left leg would follow his movement with its springing action and his right elbow would find its home within the advesaries sternum or just a little lower along the ribcage, stomach, diaphram, or even just the pelvis. If he could not reach these, he would grab and twist the man's leg so that his kneecap would break, or he might just hit the thing with the elbow or a swift punch. It did not matter to him, all were devastating to the beast. Still there was the thought of possible hidden armor or armor like scales, but they wouldn't hurt him, and thus he could only do what he did best; fight.
Left Hand: This was his 'caution' hand. It would be what gave him an edge in these 5 inches. It was ready to 'bite' something with his four main fingers pointed straight out and his thumb directly under his middle and ring finger it was like a snakes head; it would grasp and take hold of anything that might threaten him within this minimal space. Sure, the monk could use 'powers' but he wouldn't need them, his hand to hand skills were more than enough to suffice for this challenger. It would grasp and move his body, giving him something to anchor to as he contorted his body to change and adapt to the situation. It would also make him and his ability to attack much higher, for it too could be used to attack if the need arose. However, it was made to catch a weapon, after all that was the specialty of this monk, preventing combat weapons from being effective, hand or gun, all would be simply made rubble and useless. Drake did take note that only one sword was drawn, the right, which was advantageos to him. It would be superiorly easy to evade from the right with his left since it was laying on his chest. His left elbow was laying against his chest as well, awaiting the moment for striking, which would and could eaily exceed 100 or so mph.
Head: Actually, this was looking straight up at him, but he could move his neck forward to go in for a headbutt again aimed at the diaphram or chest area without injury. His training and strength were his weapons now, and if he could spring into him with a headbutt it would be just like hitting him with a ton of bricks; it just didn't matter, all was a weapon, all could do damage, and best of all, this was all quite ready to occur depending upon his reaction. He was covered from all side, and the monks head was more than enought to actually kill him. As a matter of fact, thr curvature would save the monk and kill the opponent due to the instant impact that he would suffer in one direct spot and the fact that ther point of contact would be small against his opponent. At the same time, the shape of the head would even out the force and thus protect him.
All occuring and prepared at 5" the opponent was not too far off from his own defeat; Drake had prepared from him, but was his opponent prepared for Drake? He had about 1 second to think, if that, before he would be hit with the first of a possible 3 hit combo that would extinguish his life flame almost instantly.
[ Yay for attacks, but this will continue after the tournament if you want it to. Oh, I just was afraid of boring you, so I figured you'd like me to attack. 3nodding ]
