Do you plan on a pen name or will you publish (or have published) under your real name?
Myself - I would publish normal works under my real name or all my books under my initials. Or I would use my middle names Christina Rose as a name. But since I write a lot of gay fiction, I may just use intials...

It's a draw between the first and middle initials of my name with my full last name. Example: A. B. Collins Then theres the pen name I write under: Tatiana Knight I've also considered using my Gaia username: Rayne Skyver Then, if the book is completely void of sex, sexual tension, or sexual innundos I will publish it under my full name. Otherwise I run the risk of my father, family, and everyone I know and love who all believe I write stories about magical pixie horses and frolicking through meadows only to finding out that in fact I write about vampires, sex, and well... things the my family doesn't know I know about.

I'm not sure about a pen name -head tilts- if I did.. it would be under one of my online names.. Chanthar or Shakkathi probably .. but, even so, I don't want to get mixed up with other people ..

My entire real name is hard to pronounce unless you know me well enough. For this purpose, I am going to use a pen name. I have partially considered pulling a Snicket and having the "author" be a character who does not appear in the story, but knows it. If I did, it would be the first initial and the last name of a character...and about five characters have the same initial and last name, so there would be an element of mystery as to who wrote it (or if it was by "numerous authors," so to speak). However, I likely will not do this, because the book's themes would probably not work well enough to do it.
I will likely come up with something catchy and that fits the themes of my universe.

I doubt I'd use my real name. Partly because it's hard to spell, but also because it just doesn't sound right on the front of a novel. I also don't think I'd want to be associated with my books. Not because of what I write (even though it is a little risque), but more because if I ever got rich and famous I wouldn't want to be in the lime light. Not that I will ever get famous, but you know. xd
I'd probably publish under the pen name I've been using for the last few years: Kitty Taylor. I think it's got a nice ring to it. :3

If I ever publish, it'll be under the name Sam Freelancer, because I hate my real name e.e and I don't think no one will read under the name of Commander 5AM

If I am ever published, which I highly dount I'll ever be, I'd go under a pen name I've been going under for some time. Adjacent Justice is the name-- two words placed together, but I've heard some weird names out there, so I am sure people wouldn't doubt it being a real person.
But it also has a meaning and a connection to the main series I am working on-- so I just want to mess with the readers. But it's been my name for some time, so I just might as well stick with it. I mean, really, why think up something else? If I can't go with that, then I'll most likely go with my initials of my first and middle name and use Justice as a last name. R. K. Justice. That sounds good.

Unfortunately I'd probably have to ban myself from a pen name. Simply due to the fact I'd have far too much fun with it.
Anita c**k Ben Dover
I could probably muster up some more, I need to recover more.

I do plan on using a pen name. Sort of, if you count using you middle name as a pen.
I might go with my middle name and my last initial. Or maybe just the middle name alone would work...
Plus it would be really funny watching people try to spell my middle name!

I don't have any real attachment to my name, and it's very hard to find me when searching online because my name is so common. So, I'll be using a pen name. I have one selected, but it's not set in stone-- if I was asked to use a different one for whatever reason, I would. I think of it as a business decision, really.

I'm thinking about using a pen name because using my initials would sound kind like a cheap imitation. The first two are J and K. sweatdrop Also, if I win the metaphorical lottery and become famous, I really don't want people to know my real name. I'd probably only use my real name if I wrote things like magazine articles or the like, but not for actual books.
My pen name would probably be something easy to remember. I'd post it here, but I really rather like it and I'm afraid someone might decide to borrow it. [/paranoid]
