Jason walked out the the main grounds with his Firebolt. Not a bad spot.he thought. He grabbed the Quaffle he got from his brothers over Christmas and flew up in the sky. He found some tall pines and put three baskets in them. he put the Quaffle in one and did some practice flying laps on his Firebolt. He loved the feeling of the crisp winter wind biting his face.

Amelia walked out onto the grounds carrying her old Nimbus 2008. It was a great day for flying. The sun was shining, the sky was clear, the ground was hard enough that there could be a strong kick off, and it wasn't too cold. Looking up at the sky, Amelia noticed a boy already flying around the grounds. Amelia recognized the boy to be one of her fellow Ravenclaws but yet she was never formally introduced to him. 'He isn't going to get that much practice done if he is by himself.' Amelia thought to herself. 'Also if he plans on trying out for the Quidditch team he won't get a spot by practicing as a chaser since the only available spot left is a keeper. Might as well give him a hand since I'm here.' "Hey!" Amelia said calling up to the boy. "You need an extra flyer?"

Jason turned at the sound of the girl's voice. He recognized the Chaser but couldn't remember her name. "Yah I could use some help. You see I'm going out for keeper and since no one can even try to score against me when there's no one here, so I need a few people to play." Finally my chance to show these Brits I can play just as good as any of them., the Texan thought, smiling at the prospect.
"By the way, I'm Jason."

Amelia mounted her broom and kicked off the ground to join Jason around his make-shift Quidditch hoops. "I'm Amelia by the way, it's nice to meet you." Listening to his voice Amelia realized that his accent sounded familar. "I'm guessing you're from Texas right? I used to live in the states myself except I was up in Wisconsin, too hot down there even though Wisconsin is way too cold. Should've told my dad to live in one of the middle states but what are you going to do?" Amelia realized that she was rambling but it was so rare to meet someone that came from the U.S that when she discovered them she would immediately become American once again instead of behaving like a naitive born brit. Turning her attention back to Jason she said, "Well, in order to be a keeper you obviously need help from a chaser so toss me the quaffle and let's see what you got." .....

"Nice t'a meet you Amelia." As she said she had been from the States his eyes widened.Well this is interesting. I thought this school was mostly just preppish British people. "Quite nice to meet someone from round where I'm from." He tossed her the Quaffle. " Right back at you." he said taking his position near the makeshift goals.

Catching the quaffle, Amelia flew a good couple of feet away from the goal posts. "Well don't be so surprised that there is another American here. Our house also has two students from France and for the record I was born here, I was just raised in the states." Amelia knew that this was going to be hard since she was playing on her own and it would be easy for Jason to keep an eye on her and see which way she was shooting. 'This kid needs to have killer reflexes in order to be a keeper. I need to put on a burst of speed and do some feints in order to get past him. Well here we go.' Amelia flew at top speed towards the goal posts performing as many spin maneuvers as she possibly could as she pretended to dodge invisible bludgers. Amelia flew up and then dove at top speed while swerving to the left. As the top of the goal post came into her view, she threw the quaffle towards the left hoop. 'Here's to hoping' Amelia thought as she continued her dive until she was an inch from the ground and then she leveled out. ......

He laughed at his naiveness. Then as Amelia shot off he kept a watchful eye. As she did her manuvers he couldn't help thinking,At least there's some competition. Then she launched the quaffle towards the left goal and he reached out to grab the quaffle. He caught it leaning off his broom to the side. He pulled himself back up onto his and tossed the quaffle up to hit it out to Amelia using the end of his broomstick."You'll need to do better than that!" he yelled out.

"Bloody hell..." Muttered Xurdion as he strode onto the grounds where they were supposed to have a mock practice. "I can't believe the arrogance of some people, thinking they can call a practice whenever they pleased. Damn it, I'm so tired..." He thought as he saw two of his fellow Ravenclaws were already there and at it. "Hey, couldn't wait for me before the party started, eh?" He called up, he took out his Firebolt 2, it was the most recent model in the Firebolt line. He got on and flew up towards the two who were practicing. "Good to see you, Amelia." He said with a slight smirk. He then examined the other boy who intended to be a keeper. He saw the cheap shot that was taken at Amelia and flew towards it and caught it swiftly. "Ah, so we are going to have a fresh keeper, eh? And your name is?" He asked, although he didn't intend for the boy to respond. "Well, whatever it is I hope you're competent enough to take us both. Amelia, what do you say we teach this keeper a lesson about decent playing? How about our Devil's playground tactic?" It was one of their more recent tactics which he doubted the other Ravenclaw knew what it was. It was the one where he and Amelia would weave down the field, passing the quaffle. While he went around back Amelia would take a fake shot but it would land in his hands, then they would pass back and forth between the posts and get many points, it was a cruel tactic but it would be good to show this Ravenclaw what they knew.

Amelia beamed brighter than the sun when Xurdion arrived on the grounds for the mock practice. It got to the point she wasn't even paying attention and the quaffle was thrown back towards her almost striking her in the head. "Hey Jason! Save the abuse for the Slytherins not for your potential teammates." Then Amelia turned to Xurdion, "Thanks for saving me a trip to the hospital wing and an ice pack to my head. Time to show this kid what us Ravenclaw chasers are really made of." Amelia then glared at Jason playfully, "Oh it's on."

[(OOC: Jeuno, I suggest when you roleplay to add in a few more lines so that there is more of a story to what we are doing. Also, you can't save every shot so try to change it up otherwise when we compete no team would win or loose.)]

Sauntering across the ground with her broom slung over her shoulder, Vlaityn walked over to a small group consisting of Xurdion, Amelia, and some boy who's name had never stuck with her. But it seemed he had a desire to show he could ride a broom, and Vlaityn always loved an excuse to fly. Nothing was like it, being so untouchable and fast. And slight grin sprawled across her face at the thought. With a quick graceful movement, Vlaityn seamlessly made the transition from walking with her broom across her shoulder to reposing on it, hovering a bit away from the others.

"Xurdion. Amelia." After her polite greeting, Vlaiytn turned slightly and mouthed 'So what's the deal?' to Xurdion. He usually knew what was going on.

Xurdion nodded towards Amelia. "Hey, no problem, it's the least I could do considering the season is about to start and we can't have any veteran players being injured. Especially by some over-confident kid." He said, the quaffel was under his arm, he cast a glance at their new prey. "You don't know what your messing with, boy. Remember, rattling the sleeping bear cage is hazardous to your health." He smirked as he tossed the quaffel into the air and caught it again just as he noticed Vlaiytn arriving right next to them. "Hey, how's it going, Vlaiytn? Amelia and I were just about to teach this punk a lesson about trying to assault fellow team members. Especially this close to the season, he almost nailed Amelia in the head with the quaffel." Xurdion knew they couldn't do the Devil's playground anymore because now they had three people. "Vlaiytn, could you be a chaser for a second? Just so we could do this play effectively. I think you know Raven Strike, right?" This play consisted of three chasers, one with the quaffel that would rush down the field at the fastest speed possible while avoiding obstacles. The other would fly close but not next to him. While the last flew behind the goals and waited for the shot. Basically what would happen is when the person got to the goals, they would quickly pass to person next to him who would then score a goal on the far goal. The person behind it would catch it and pass it back and they would continue to try and score goals until the sequence was broken.

"Hey Vlaityn" Amelia called to her friend and also her fellow teammate on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. As Vlaityn got close to where Amelia and Xurdion were she whispered to Vlaityn, "Seriously I wish you had your bat and a bludger right not so you could knock this kid's teeth out. He caught me off guard and all I ever did was be nice to him." Amelia couldn't understand how this guy could be so arrogant especially when surrounded by Quidditch players that were older than him. Turning back to Xurdion she said, "Raven Strike? That sounds good, you up for it Vlaityn?" ....

Stifling a slight yawn, Lori walked through the Entrance Hall and outside, her custom black Firebolt 2, with silver detailing, over her shoulder, snitch in her right hand. I am going to kill the bloody kid who arranged this, she thought, looking around. Catching sight of Xurdion, Amelia, and Vlaityn, Lori tried to identify the other kid. Figuring it was the one who wanted to try out for Keeper, she smirked, glad he was still in the air. Throwing up the snitch, still far enough away that no one saw her, Lori waited a few seconds as the snitch got away. Mounting her broom, she kicked off, wind whistling past her as she gained altitude. Looking one way, then the next, she caught sight of the small golden ball flying into the forest. "Bloody freaking heck," she said, glad the teacher had enchanted it so that there was a limit on how far into the forest it could fly. Looking both ways, Lori sped into the forest, a flash of black. The first thing she realized about flying into the forest was how dumb it was. Branches, twigs, and even leaves felt like razors cutting into her skin, leaving scratches and slightly bloody cuts. Ignoring the pain, like what she did with everything that hurt, Lori followed the flash of gold like her life depended on it, following it's every movement, turns, dips, anything. As the snitch began to gradually make it's way back, she followed it, not paying attention to anything, even the fact that the snitch flew out of the forest and through one of the hoops Jason had set up. Lori, being Lori, realized this at the last moment and decided to put this to her advantage. Inching a bit closer, she let her hand hang loose, skimming the top of the kid's head, not hard enough for him to be injured, but not light enough for him to think she was overjoyed to be there. Looking for the snitch, Lori headed down. Leaning forward, she reached out, flipped forward, and caught it in her hand as she landed right behind the group of Ravenclaws. Stumbling a bit, she straightened out and turned around to look at their backs. "Hey, guys, did I miss anything?" Lori asked, wiping some blood off her face with one hand and picking out leaves from her brown, tinted red, hair with her other hand.

((Aw, yeah. A really long post. 3nodding ))

"Nice moves Lori, but I think you have a spot of blood under your chin." Amelia said with a laugh. "Thankfully you didn't miss much except that douche kid over there trying to knock me off my broom with the quaffle. So help me God if I end up in the hospital wing with a head injury in my last year playing Quidditch, I'll come back to make this kid's next three years here a living hell." Amelia said while growling that last bit and once again glaring at the kid. "What time is it anyway? You're the second person to come out here claiming that they were tired." ......

Lori grinned, wiping away the last of the blood. Taking out her wand, she muttered a spell, instantly healing the cuts. "Well, it's, um, ah," Lori began, looking at the sky, since she was fairly decent at knowing the time by what the sky looks like. "I'd say it's noon," she said vaguely, checking her watch. "12:10, not bad." Lori shrugged, "But I have a tendency to yawn, especially when I'm bored, so I'm not really tired." Thinking about the kid, she thought for a few seconds. "Hmmm, well, I'm not getting another shipment of, um, stuff until tonight, so no pranks. I would aim a bludger at him, but that might cause him to hold a grudge against me, which wouldn't be good if he made the team. I dunno, that wack over the head should have dazed him, even a little bit. Anyways, does anyone know his name? 'Cause I sure don't." She shrugged, still apathetic over the fact that they have to practice with some new kid. She never really liked having to train new kids. They were all so... new.
