I'm sure that everyone on this guild has 1) a DeviantArt account, and 2) heard of the spamming virus that has been plaguing the whole DA community of late, but in case you haven't heard about it:
If you get a comment on your profile that says something like "Someone mentioned you on his blog click HERE" DON'T CLICK IT! Instead, hide the comments and/or mark them as spam, because if you click the link, your DA account will get corrupted and start sending similar spam comments to everyone in your watchbox.
Don't panic if you got "infected" however. I've heard that the virus runs its course in due time.

sweatdrop Well, I think the hacker became more aware and changed his tactics. D: I've had this terrible spam-thing happen to a couple of friends already in its current form.

Hmm... I've heard of it but it a lot on famous dev's journals. They kept warning everyone about it already. ninja

i saw several comments on dA but i never knew that it was a virus.

Yea I heard of it, anyone who clicks the link will spam everyone on their watch list. It really sucks for the famous artists.

Basically any comment with "CLICK HERE" on it should be avoided I think.

I haven't quite heard about this new "spammer" on dA. ^^ I guess that means I haven't been hit yet?

Mm. I was hit quite a few times with these comments; But I had realized right away not to click them, then to find out that it was a virus later. Luckily, I hadn't clicked a link to become infected...
But all is well that it's dying down now. I've been starting to see it less and less everyday. DA also has taken up the link redirection method to help the spamming issue. Although, for some of the newer Deviantartists, it can't be helped if they haven't been informed of the issue...
