The only place Flame Warriors can't get into, this HQ is the best place for Elements to stay safe. Element characters will start their roleplays here. However, Warriors can post here too - they just can never get into the "sanctuary" itself.

Quinn stretched and yawned as she woke up. She looked around for the source of the noise that had awoken her. Seeing no obvious cause, Quinn quickly realized what it was: the Flame Warriors, trying to break past the Elemental shield.
Quinn jumped up and hurried to her friends' beds. "Lillian, Renity, Vernice, Gabriel, hurry!" she whispered loudly, then realized it didn't matter - the Warriors wouldn't be able to hear anyway. She amplified her voice, almost yelling. "Lil, Renity, Vernice, Gabriel! It's the Flame Warriors! Come on!"

Vernice woke with a start and transformed into her misty form. "How dare those Flame Warriors try to attack our own Head Quarters!" she hissed, "They will pay! I will destroy them!"

Quinn laughed. "Whoa, slow down, Vernice!" She groped for the girl's arm and found only mist. "You can't go out there! We don't even know what weapons that have with them! The Fireshields can block any of our powers, Fireballs are dangerous too, Fireblades are even worse, and the Firedemons are the worst of all! We only have a chance if the Firearchers are out there!"
Quinn was breathing heavily. "Please, Vernice," she murmured. "Please. I don't want you to die. The Elements need you!"

Gabriel had found himself awake, unbeknownst to him, at the same time as Quinn, though, he had not the strength to call out as she had. Though he'd found himself the inexplicable leader of the element of Air in this stronghold of those that controlled the elements, he had always been an extremely quiet boy, owing mostly to the way that he looked.
After pulling his long, pale hair back behind his head, Gabriel ran behind the others, and finding his eyes turned to the floor with something akin to sadness as Vernice began fairly screaming in the way that she did. There was always something, it seemed, to make everyone else impassioned... why did it always seem to fail for himself, even when it came to matters of his own life?
"Please, Vernice," his voice came of its own accord, in a very soft, imploring manner. "We must wait; Quinn is right...."

Vernice sighed. "Fine, I'll wait!" she hissed. "I would love to destroy them." She changed into a solid form, folding her arms.

"I'm with Vernice on this one. I think we should go. We have other people here that can cure us if we get hurt." Lillian said to the others as she walked over to Vernice.

"What is the point of taking the chance, on a matter such as this? We've never had our fortress penetrated before..." Gabriel resisted very softly, though, his weak resolve was broken in a moment, and the horrifically disfigured adolescent took several silent steps away from Vernice and Lillian in shame.

Vernice sighed. "No Lillian," she said, "They're right. We should wait and come up with a strategy to fight them." She turned to Quinn. "What's the plan?"

Renity had woke up a little late, and she didn't know what was happening, so she sat on her bed in silence.

Quinn sighed. Being leader of the Elements, this was always the hardest part. She didn't want to admit she didn't know, but sometimes, she had to. "I...I don't have a plan," she admitted. "Not yet, anyway."

"Well, if we insist upon taking them on... we should at least send some sort of scout, to bring a report upon what their forces our like. Perhaps Vernice would be best-suited for such work?" Gabriel suggested in his charactaristically whispering tone, wishing to be helpful, yet feeling he could easily say something wrong or insulting by the same mark.

"I think so!" Vernice replied, "After all, I can turn into mist. I can go unsighted."

Lillian walked over to Quinn, the only other earth element there. Let's go to the mountian. I need to talk to you privatly." She murmured to her.

Gabriel couldn't help the faint smile that appeared on both the normal and grossly tumoured sides of his face as Vernice answered so genially. It was very rare,- to what he percieved, anyway,- that he ever made any suggestions, or did anything of real worth for the Elements.
