Leslie: *sitting up in a tree, looking at the stars*
Zuri: -Quietly and hesitantly enters the are and starts nibbling on some grass-
Leslie: *hears something and looks down, spotting Zuri and wondering whether she should say hello or not*
Zuri: -Feels he is being watched. Slowly turns to the female and relaxes-
Leslie: *waves* Hello. *smiles* How are you this evening?
Zuri: I-I'm good. How are you?
Leslie: I am well. It is a nice night out. ^^
Zuri: Y-yes. I suppose it is. What are you doing?
Leslie: I'm admiring the stars while perched upon this tree. 3nodding
Zuri: Oh. I don't think I got your name the last time we met.
Leslie: It's Leslie. ^^ So what is your name?
Zuri: I-I'm Zuri. It is a pleasure to meet you, again.
Leslie: Likewise. *looks back up at the sky* Have you ever gazed at the stars before?
Zuri: -Shakes his head- I don't think I have ever done so.
Leslie: Really? *thinks for a moment* Would you like to join me? *pats next to her on the branch*
Zuri: Uhh..O-ok then. -Trots over and slips a few times as he tries to climb up, but eventually makes it up. Trembles as he takes a seat next to Leslie-
Leslie: *looks up at the stars with a small smile* Aren't they lovely?
Zuri: -Stares in awe- Yeah, they really are. -smiles-
Leslie: *smiles at bit more* Some nights I like to just sit up here and look at them all night. If we're lucky we might get to see a shooting star.
Zuri: A shooting star? Stars have guns?
Leslie: Wrong type of shooting. More like a star that flies across the sky until it goes out of sight.
Zuri: Oh, hehehe -feels dumb- I knew that.
Leslie: *smiles and looks back up* Did you know each star is actually a sun very very far away?
Zuri: Really? That's amazing. So, there are other suns out there besides ours?
Leslie: *nods* Yes, there are.
Zuri: How do you know so much about space?
Leslie: I heard stories from those who had read books on the subject. Of course, I checked the same books to get a more direct and pure source of information as well. ^^
Zuri: Oh, so you read a lot of books?
Leslie: *nods* It's fun to read. In a way it lets you go to new places. 3nodding
Zuri: It must be interesting. Seeing as where I am from I have never really seen many books.
Leslie: Where are you from? *has a slight idea since he's a natural, but is curious nonetheless*
Zuri: Africa, a beautiful, yet dangerous place...
Leslie: Africa...that's a large continent. ^^ I've only ever been here.
Zuri: It really is an amazing place. So much diveristy and beauty in it all.
Leslie: It's sort of a shame I can't go see it aside from books and pictures. ^^
Zuri: An imagination can still be just as beautiful if not more.
Leslie: *nods* You speak the truth. ^^
Leslie: I've gone to the depths of the ocean with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. ^^
Zuri: Sounds interesting. What is it like under the sea?
Leslie: There is a lot of life and unusual creatures down beneath the sea, some you have to see to be able to imagine. =3 *is quoting mostly from television shows she's seen*
Zuri: -Blinks the at "quote" XD" Why does that sound like it is from a TV show?
Leslie: Because it is. xd I had to go look up some of the animals the book described. For instance, I didn't know what a Nautilis was until I looked it up. It's apparently a creature that makes its home in a spiral shell and it creates chambers to live in, sealing the old chamber behind it. It was very neat. 3nodding Not to mention some odd looking creatures that I'm not sure how to describe except.
Zuri: Oh. -laughs- That makes sense then. I think I shall look up the book and the creatures with in when I get the chance. The only body of water I have ever seen are lakes and..there isn't much in there.
Leslie: There's actually a lot in lakes if you're interested in small things like insects and tadpoles, but I know what you mean. ^^
Zuri: Well, there are more bugs in the world than anything else.
Leslie: Yes there are. Not so many in the Winter though. *thinks of something* Did you know that Ladybugs can predict weather about 6 months into the future quite reliably?
Zuri: Why and how?
Leslie: Nobody know how, but it's because they hibernate in clusters for the winter. They can apparently find a place to hide out that will never get so cold that they freeze and die. Even sort of in the open.
Zuri: Wow, all these random facts are quite interesting.
Leslie: Aren't they? I like learning about nature and the fascinating things in it and even beyond it. ^^
Zuri: Nature is an interesting thing to learn about. You never know what new discoveries and creatures there are. It can be so simple, yet so fascinating and complex.
Leslie: Yes it is. I think that's because that is how life is. Simple, yet at the same time complex and fascinating in its complexity. Like Photosynthesis. ^^
