User ImageHer limbs burned so bad her lungs with scrubbed raw she had been running for 2 days straight now. She was following the lingering scent of her Mate that she just happened to stumble on. Her eyes began to water a little as the wind from her running plastered across her face making her body feel heavy and hard to move till finally her eyes before to get black spots in the corners.

She slowed down blinking thinking there was nothing going on till her eyes went black and as she walked slowly her body became to heavy for her to move as she fell to the ground with a thud. Hours pasted and when she awoke she saw she had been sleeping for about a day she roared out in agony it had rain. Her pelt now plastered with mud and leafs. She pushed herself up as Sefu landed on her shoulder he was silent as he perched there on his place.

"Why didn't you wake me!" She snapped out at him giving a fearsome growl. The bird only gave a little chirp before taking flight as Fu took a snap at him. He had grown smart in his few years with the female that when she was anger she was easy to turn on even him no marter what their relation ship was.

Kutakia had been travelling for a while no on no food and little water. His figure had thinned noticeable, a few ribs visible under his somewhat matted coat. However, he still had enough strength to continue, the large wildebeest he'd eaten before he'd left and the little water he found being enough to sustain him. He was actually quite a hardy male, strong and sturdy. He licked his dry lips as one foot was placed in front of the other, slowly carrying him over the savannah, to what he hoped was a jungle nearby. He preferred the jungles - cooler, with plenty more food and water. The savannah was so...barren. So plain.

A bird's call drew his attention up, Kuta squinting against the sun to try and spot the bird. His gaze was still fixed upwards when he happened to stumble into another leopardess, Kuta jumping backwards a little, amber eyes wide, cheeks red in embarrassment, "I'm so sorry, miss! Are you alright?"

His eyes shined with an apologetic glow and worry.

The female froze in her place before standing the then growled still mad. "I'm just fine!" She snapped out at the male standing to her feet before shaking the mud clumps off her.

"I look vile!" She yelled out to her bird looking at him with a glare. "What if Mawi see's me like this!!" She screamed out with a furry as she was about to pounce her familiar until her eyes caught the male and she stopped.

"You! You haven't seen any male leopards lately have you!?!" She demanded as she began to quickly approach him her dazzling white fangs showing in her ferocity. Her claws peeking from her paws as she stopped just a few feet from him enough to pounce him if he angered her anymore then what she already was.

Then suddenly she calmed down her claws slipped back into her paws as her eyes starred off into the distance behind him. Her lips licked her dry mouth as she took off running into the forest before ghastly sounds of a large bore yelled out in pain as it was slain savagely by the fearsome leopardess.

Kuta was rather taken aback - she seemed rather angry, even snapping at him. Was something wrong? He was a little wary, having had bad experiences with strangers before, but attempted to push these thoughts to the back of his head, determined to be polite and not shout back. That was what his mother had always taught him, and he was determined to follow that. A little happiness and politeness went a long way.

Vile? Not really - she was quite a pretty leopardess. But then she turned on him, Kuta instinctively scuttering backwards a little, ears flattening against his head defensively. He wasn't a fighter at all, and he'd never dare hit a woman. But then she...she was gone. A squeal came from the forest, clearly a prey animal having been slain. he often found that the easiest way to expel angry was the eat - but boy, judging by that squeal it must;ve been a lot of anger. Wary, he followed the female carefully, keeping his distance.

"Escuse me for asking, madam..." he began, sure to stay far enough away that he felt safe, "Are you alright? I haven't seen many male leopards lately, I'm afraid. Have you lost someone?"

She had already eaten most of the meat off the left shoulder of the bored before looking to the male leopard giving him a warning growl as she hunched over her kill. She then calmed a little. She became lax against the bored as she took a deep breath.

"Yes...my mate he's missing." She said seeming to be calmer then what she was. The female then stood slowly as she nudge the bored closer to the male.

"Here we can...share." She said a little looking away. She wasn't to used to this but she didn't seem to want to rip him apart if he had information. Even if he said he had not seen any males.

"You...haven't come by any smells of burnt dirt have you?" She asked knowing the scent was from her ruins and it was the easiest way to explain a smell from her mate or some of his companions. She then became very quite as she searched around for her bird in the sky's as he chirped just a little before moving to her shoulder.

She growled at him, so he stoped where he was, not wanting to get any closer incase he scared her, or prompted her to attack. Kuta was a peaceful leopard - he wasn't the type to fight. And especially not against a lady - the thought alone was horrifying! She seemed to calm a little, however, and spoke. Her mate was missing. Kuta frowned, thinking hard. He hadn't seen any male leopards, had he?

He was surprised by the offer, but wasn't one to pass up a meal, and as such cautiously began to tear into the remaining meat. He tore off a strip, chewing on it thoughtfully as the clogs in his mind turned slowly, Kutakia trying to recall the smell of burnt dirt. Yes...that horrid, stinky scent that burnt his nostrils. With his mouth full, he could only nod, but he exaggerated the motion a little she she didn't think he was just bobbing his head.

The female said nothing more as she watched him eat as she sighed heavily before turning away from him to scan over the area she was in trying to get her barrings. She had headed east and looks like she had covered some distance for the jungle didn't seem to be as lush and untouched by the tree dwellers.

"Burnt dirt...its the best way to describe how one from my lands smell." She said softly as she wrapped her tail around her tightly. "I come from a colony...we live in ruins made by the two legged creatures." She said the last part with much anger clearly not like the human things.

"If you find any leopard by the sent...tell them to come home if you don't mind." She said softly not looking to him. "Our lands will soon be over run by adolescent gorilla's if we to not replenish out numbers and quickly." She said giving a small sigh.

"A simple favor in return if you ever need shelter our home is always open to true leopards." She said before looking to the male once more.

Kuta listened with interest, duckig his head to rip another piece of meat before chewing on it one more, watching Fu eagerly. Her land? Oh, as in one of those prides like the lions had? Eyes lit up, Kuta smiling at the prospect of a story about a far-away land. A colony? Ruins? It all sounded fairly amazing, and Kuta's smie only widened, the parkle in his eyes increasing. The topic soon turned to a more depressing topic, however, Kuta's smile fading to a more reassuring one.

"I'll be sure to, my lady. I'll tell them-" He began, before pausing, frowning as he turned to look at her once more, "I'm sorry - I don't believe I ever got your name?"

She blinked a little before looking down forgetting about having not giving her name.

"Its Fumananya." she said looking to him before looking to Sefu who took flight and began to circle around before darting off in one direction. Fu blinked a little before looking to the male.

"I...I'm sorry I must go!" She yelled out a little before she took off running in the direction the mostly blue bird was flying toward.

Kuta smiled - Fumanaya? Pretty name. He couldn't recall exactly what it meant right now, but he would find out for later. A name could tell a lot about a person, or in contrast it could reveal nothing at all. He followed her gaze upwards, watching a bird soar around in the sky. A familiar? How lucky - he'd always wanted a friend, to be by his side always. It must be nice.

And then, suddenly, she was gone. Kutakia frowned, watching after her, making no move to catch her. It must've been something serious, the pace she was running at. Perhaps she'd found her mate? He smiled, turning and beginning to walk in the opposite direction. He had to remember - if he did see her mate, he'd tell him where to find her.
