Arthas stepped lightly through the snow barefoot. He loved the feeling of the cold. He looked around briefly, making sure no one was around. It wasn't currently snowing, but he had plans to make it start. But first.... 0w0 he bent down and scooped up some snow.

Jack Frost sat quietly, enjoying the cold weather. Of course, it was always cold, windy and snowing -or snowy anyway- while he was about, but he never tired of it. The cold was the one constant in his life, and he relished it. When the strange human-shaped Namir appeared in his field of vision, he ignored it, hoping that the other would do likewise.

Arthas brought the snow to his mouth, but paused, feeling like someone was near. He looked around again and this time noticed (barely) the figure in the snow. It was blue.. and looked half frozen. His first thought was that it was some poor Namir that had gotten lost out in the cold. He rushed over. "Commoner?! Are you alright?"

Unfortunately for Jack Frost's peace of mind, his natural camouflage came to no avail; the person had noticed him. He sighed imperceptibly. His voice was cold and sharp as the North Wind when he spoke, "Better before you came over here, Strange One. What do you want?" It didn't occur to him how the ice that surrounded him would appear to someone unfamiliar with him; he was just annoyed at the interruption.

Arthas tilted his head slightly, slowly realizing that this Namir did not actually appear to be dying. "Well, you looked like you were in trouble and freezing to death. Not Many Namrah can stand this cold for so long." He bent down, touching an ice crystal. "But you aren't freezing to death..."

Jack Frost laughed, and although it contained real humor, it remained as cold as the landscape surrounding them. "I am the hoarfrost given life! It would be rather counterproductive to freeze to death."

Arthas straightened himself up and peered down at this icy Namir. "The hoarfrost? Explain yourself, commoner." He crossed his arms over his chest, trying his best to look authoritative.

"First, my name is not 'Commoner,'" Jack Frost stated icily, glaring at Arthas. "Second, it seems very self-explanatory, unless you happen to be a wandering idiot." Needless to say, Jack Frost was not impressed by the other's authoritative stance.

"I assure you I am neither wandering nor am I an idiot. This is my kingdom and I am the king. And just who are you?"

"A king then! Well, if that doesn't change everything!" Jack Frost's sarcasm was thick enough to walk on as he gave a mocking bow. "Jack Frost, your majesty, at your service." From the tone of his words, it was quite clear that he did not believe this strange Namir to be a king of any sort.

Arthas blinked as Jack spoke, realizing quickly he was being sarcastic. "Well, Jack Frost..." he frowned slightly. "While your tone is all wrong for a servant, I will forgive you. For it seems you may very well be a relative of mine." He smirked a little.

"How generous, your majesty," Jack Frost responded, hiding the brief flash of surprise and curiosity. "And how, pray tell, may we be related?" He was still being sarcastic. This strange Namir who styled himself a king was a bit annoying . . . and seemed to be putting out "in dire need of straitjacket" signals. Besides, he didn't have relatives. Not really.
. . . Aside from the kids he couldn't remember having, that is . . .

"The fact that you are out in this cold and claim to be the hoarfrost given life. The simple fact that you aren't frozen to death, while any normal Namir would be. There can't be many family lines with that kind of power." He eyed Jack, noting that they indeed had there similarities, though he thought himself much more regal.

Jack Frost glared coolly at the king-like Namir, the first flickers of anger stirring. "I have no family," he stated icily, white specks appearing in his eyes. "So, you clearly must be mistaken."

Arthas raised a brow at Jack's words. "You'd rather be nothing but a commoner then? Though clearly you are more than a commoner." He shrugged and looked at his nails. "Suit yourself, peasant."
