So, as you may already know, the enormous nullsec superpower known as BoB was disbanded by GoonSwarm last night. Result: http://go-dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/Verite/20090205SE.pngDiscusss. Honestly, I don't think this will be the end. All BoB has lost is their sov and a bunch of assets. Sure delve is a ******** right now, but their high-sec industry wing will be unaffected. They still have their ships, their outposts, their capitals, and their POS's. All I can see them doing is regrouping somewhere quiet and making a comeback. Which funnily enough, is exactly what has happened to them in the past.

I was waiting to see if someone made one of these biggrin
Here's the thing, yes BoB will come back but under a different name. However by the time they can all their POSs will be gone, they can't defend them. And BoB is fighting within itself.
And you have to consider how much BoB has lost, Black Nova's entire wallet, all their ship stores, and their capital fleet, right around 45 bill ISK lost right there.
Then you have all those baby titans and baby moms that were being built. Titans are about 30-35 bill a piece, moms about 25 I believe. Now, at first I figured, 1 titan in production and 9 moms, well, slightly off, some other believe it's closer to 5 titans and 15 moms.
At the moment they lost Sov they lost about 400-500 billion ISK or more.
And now their space is getting invaded. Yes they can run all their things out, but they can no longer be the presence in the Delve and Querous(spelling?) region they were, and that was what keep them alive, the fact that no one could get into those regions. They have lost their 0.0 space now.
I expect that over the next few weeks as their POSs drop and capitals try to run for it they will lose even more ISK, so they may get close to 1 trillion ISK lost. And that's a low estimate.

Looks like quite the opposite..
If what bits of intel I can pick up from forums are correct, BoB have already rejoined under a new alliance that already existed "KenZoku", and are rapidly regaining sov.
I'll be watching this closely, information as I get it.

Yeah, they have. And yes they can get Sov 1 back quickly, but that means nothing. All there important structures(capital assembly arrays and cyno jammers) that keep the POSs safe from mass capital drops don't work still.
I can't remember what Sov those require, but it is unlikely they are going top survive in Delve or anywhere honestly, considering there is a mass evac happening from what I've read.
So Goon or any other power can still drop a fleet of capitals into a system and go around and basically kill the POSs. And they can bring in fleets too.
They can get their Sov back, but can they keep it? I never doubted they would hop into another alliance or get one right away.

lol i had heard about this but havent been following it really, just what ive heard from a buddy at work. We came from Foundation, which is allied with Goons, so this is all kind of funny to me. I just find it interesting that people were claiming that what Goons did was against the EULA and all that jazz, when it wasn't. What makes Eve a great game is the fact that there is all the player politics involved. It isn't against game policy/mechanics to convince a player to disband an alliance, lol. It's perfectly allowed/legal. Just means you REALLY need to trust your higher-ups and also make sure they are happy, if not, find someone else to do that job.

I'm nowhere near as long-term of a capsuleer to be able to know the full-effects of BoB's huge bust, but man was this a big deal.
EVE Radio was freaking out, and they had the DJs running to Delve in cloak ships to go watch. I heard there were huge capital fleets under the BoB banner just trying to go out with a bang. A Titan a piece and stuff like that.
Now help me out here, because this is how the shin-dig is gonna affect me: what markets did BoB control so I know what to lay off buying for a while? Or were they just a self-sufficient bunch all on the same team in the galactic a**-kicking contest?
