Humans- A Simian race that originates from the planet Earth. Lacking any sort of physical defenses, The humans must rely on their intelligence and Technology in order to survive. Brave and Loyal, they are harder to be corrupted by the now extinct Phazon, but are easily corrupted by power and wealth.

The Luminoth, like the Chozo, are a technologically advanced race of moth-like beings who have an intense spiritual fixation with light. They are the last of the known Higher races, as both the Chozo and Alimbics are now likely extinct, the former assumed to have nothing more than an Ethereal state of being in the world, the latter being wiped out by Gorea with horrifying speed and are nothing more than telepathic essences now.
According to Luminoth Lore, they were apparently "born between the stars," and were searching for a home planet for a very long time. On their travels for searching for such a planet, they encountered such peoples as the Chozo, and possibly exchanged technologies. In fact, based on circumstantial in-game evidence, it is speculated that the Screw Attack may have been of Luminoth design, which the Chozo then brought to some of their worlds. They finally found Aether, and it was a wonderful oasis to them. They colonized the planet, and made it their own in just a short time.
The Luminoth lived in peace on Aether, until a mysterious meteorite crashed onto their planet which carried extremely high amounts of Phazon. Dark Samus arrived much later to the planet, most likely because it had a need to feed on the Phazon which impacted the planet much earlier. The explosive impact of the meteorite literally tore the planet in two, creating a second Aether, known as Dark Aether. On that planet, the Ing thrived. It seems that all of the Phazon from the impacted meteorite transferred only to the dark version of Aether, as it doesn't seem to appear in Light Aether. When the Ing discovered portals that took them to Aether, they began invading Luminoth territory by possessing several creatures (including Luminoth soldiers and technology themselves). After a near seventy-year-long bitter war of attrition, they had defeated the Luminoth, who retreated into the Great Temple and into stasis tubes upon the order of U-Mos. However, U-Mos stayed awake to fight and pray for salvation.
It was he who guided Samus Aran to power generators located throughout Aether and Dark Aether. Once restoring power to the Luminoth, they were able to defeat the Ing and Dark Samus. Today, the Luminoth live in peace on Aether. It is revealed during the events of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption that the Galactic Federation visited the Luminoth on Aether and helped them clean up the remaining Space Pirate technology and that is when the Galactic Federation discovered Phazon and first began the Phazon Enhancement Device program.
The Luminoth are known to make use of a peculiar three-dimensional written language.
Add-in: Since Aether's Stabilization, The Luminoth have reawakened, and have a treaty with the Galactic Federation.
Phrygisians: The native creatures of the planet Phrygis. They are similar to the Vhozon, in so far as they can also manipulate ice, and are similar in appearance. They can manipulate ice to an extent of being able to use it as a method of flight. The bounty hunter Rundas is a notable Phrygisian, who grew up in the ice mines of Bes III. Assuming all Phrygisains look similar, based on the appearance of Rundas they have long limbs that end in three claws. Their heads are an oval shape and two small dots resembling eyes can be seen. They have small torsos with their long legs ending in flat feet.
Vhozon: - Find an Image Noxus for a picture of Vhozon-
The Vhozons are race of highly intelligent beings who are known for being famous peacekeepers. The Vhozons have high self-esteem and think of many others as being unworthy or criminal. However, Vhozons have contributed much to galactic society. One Vhozon is Noxus, from Vho who appears in Metroid Prime Hunters. They most likely have highly insulated skin, as their homeworld, Vho, is subject to sub-zero environments. An evolutionary adaptation of this species is the Vhoscythe, a spinning secondary form used to keep warm, as well as being used as a weapon.
Shuzoku: - Taken form Metroid Wiki. It should be stated that they have only been seen in the Manga-
The Shuzoku race consists of elf-like humanoids with pointy ears. They are discriminated against by the rest of the Galactic Federation, and, according to a captured Space Pirate, were responsible for the "Species War". Kreatz is the only known member of this species. They are more stealthy and agile than humans, and aren’t of a strong build.

Sub Race: Planet Side, he is one of the few Federation Marines to actually be born on the Human home planet, Earth.
Rank: Federation Marine, Identification Code NZG41 ( get the reference?). Originally part of a basic defense team, he now works in the offices. His military Rank is Gunnery Sergeant, a decent rank though not high enough to get to use the Lockjaw or Beam Saber.

His appearance underneath his armor is largely unknown to anyone but himself as of this moment, as he has had the habit of wearing it in public. Even now in his office duties he still wears it, and openly complains about the heat. What we do know is that he has brown hair shaven back during training, and since then has most likely grown back.
Biography: Born on the planet Earth, Rayl was, at an early age, one of the few children of the age who wondered what it was like in space and what was out there, knowing very little about it whereas in this age space travel was frequent and simple. After years of growing up and off in the universe the hostile Space Pirate activity was dramatically increasing. Eventually, Galactic Federation recruiters arrived on Earth to recruit more soldiers for the Marines and other professions, such as engineer and whatnot. Judging from what his profession is in the rank category of this data file, it is obvious that he chose to join the Marines when he was at the age of Seventeen, and thus left Earth and began his training in the Federation HQ along with other Earth recruits. In his class, Rayl was of average performance, no one special really, and would go on missions along with other rookies and in one case a squad accompanied a bounty hunter to the farming world in a distant sector of Federation Space.

Accessing Log Entry of PFC ( Private First Class) Ford:
-Three weeks into exploration of Forest World FW-426-
Myself and the rest of the Exploration Team: PFC Torien, PFC Lorenzo, SGT Johnson, PFC Hudson, and that Bounty Hunter, Averie...I believe he was from that planet of those bird-like people, where the Herakles Incident occured...anyways, for some time now things had been decent enough, better than the ship cleaning duty that Greg was up to since he disagreed with Johnson...that's when it happened.
The Space Pirates must have been here for some time, taking animal and plant specimens for their fiendish experiments, when we stumbled into them. Next thing we knew the trees and shrubs around us were exploding in balls of fire as we shot at one another. The pirates were everywhere in the trees! Eventually our group got split up into two groups: Myself, Torien and Lorenzo were all together....next thing we know, 'It' arrived...I nearly wet my suit once I saw that huge Space Pirate come leaping out of the bushes, the roar of a chainsaw clearly heard ( Now begins censorship)...there was screaming, as I dove for cover. That fool Torien and I were out of ammo during the first encounter and...they got Lorenzo...from my hiding place I heard the chainsaw getting closer, and next thing I knew he was leaped over the rock and was in front of me. At this point I was praying for mercy, and then that completely insane Torien jumps in with his knife and kicks the Pirate away! by this point both of us are panicking, and while the thing was dazed we took off running, leaving out injured comrade to bleed to death...I'm not proud of that day...if it hadn't been for that bird guy and that light beam, we would be here now...
After it was over we learned that Lorenzo was picked up by the medics and was actually saved...he won't be walking with his own legs, but he's walking at least. We did lose Greg though. Damn Space Pirates raided the ship...

After a good deal of time in the service and after successful missions, Rayl eventually gained Sergeant status, while not the highest of ranks it still had a decent pay, plus he had since been on duty at Norion. It was his dependability as a Marine that entitled him to test the PED unit, conveniently at the time when Norion was attacked by the Space Pirates. Over the duration of the events of Metroid Prime, Rayl had begun to feel the side effects of Phazon Poisoning when one of his phazon tanks had been shot, leaving a hole that slowly leaked out without him knowing. He had been hospitalized with minor phazon corruption and probably would have become corrupted if Phaaze hadn’t been destroyed.

-One month after Norion incident, same time that Samus awakens from unconsciousness after being shot by Dark Samus-
I must admit, I’m quite honored about the promotion I received that day, although the ceremony didn’t quite go as everyone planned. When those Damned Space Pirates Invaded Norion, my constant duty as a Marine and my ‘heroism’ at the forest incident ( which I would have rather not have been reminded of) Granted me the ability to test the PED Unit too! It was a good thing too once those pirates tried to hijack our landing docks…I never felt so much power before! It was like I was Superman, only with some sort of Big a** Gun. But enough of that. After those Mercenaries hired by Fleet Admiral Dane destroyed that strange bluish thing, I was to commemorated for my Heroism in Defending Norion, and receive a promotion more fitting to my current equipment. Before the ceremony began I must admit, I was feeling a bit queasy, and was sweating quite abit as well, but I figured I was just nervous…
…Boy was I wrong…
While I was being commended for my actions and after I had received a medal, I could tell something was wrong…there was pain…everywhere. People seemed to notice I was staggering a bit, and at one point, my CO had to stand up from his seat to check up on me, telling me to “Keep it together son! You’re going to give us a bad name in the presses!” . At around this point I fell to my knees clutching my chest with one arm, and supporting myself with the other, which I also used to push people away from me as they tried to help me up, as I quickly removed my helmet and…well, I… I threw up on the floor…but it was strange…it was never blue…and glowing…As I stared at the ground in pain, shock and confusion, I was practically dragged off the stage, much to the shock and camera flashes of those damned news reporters, and I soon lost consciousness…not my shining hour in the news now is it? Ha…not that funny really…What was really was that there were scientists in the crowd, and could make out a mix of curiosity and interest in the scene from my blurry vision before I blacked out all together…never liked those scientific types…
When I came to I awoke, I would find myself in a hospital bed, still in my armor. My vision was blurry, due to illness or the viral vaccination I’m not really sure, but I had a pounding headache…and the pain….the pain was everywhere! Oh good god it was getting worse! As time went by, weeks, and then a whole month, the pain was steadily getting worse! I remember vaguely hearing from two doctors speaking in low voices that I was ‘a goner’ and that ‘you can’t cure phazon corruption’…none of this made sense to me back then…and then one day, I was completely better. At first everyone was shocked when I just casually got out of bed, but then the reports came in that ‘Phaaze had been destroyed, the Pirates were defeated...for now.’ and this was soon followed by celebration from the doctors, nurses, and injured soldiers. When I asked who destroyed this planet, they told me,” That bounty hunter Samus Aran…it’s a good thing too, you wouldn’t have lasted another day. I heard that the other hunters went corrupt long before you did, however.”
All those things he said…only one thing stuck in my mind…that name…Samus Aran…hmmm…I wouldn’t be forgetting that any time soon…Angseth was right that she was real…whatever happened to that woman anyways? Last time I heard she was working with Task Force Herakles in the Dasha Region...she owes me a drink...

Since then Rayl has been working in more of an office/desk job fill with long hours, decent pay, and lots of paperwork, though he still retains his armor and rank. Deep down he still wants to fight and explore the universe as much as he wanted when he was a child, but the Federation doesn’t believe he can due to his ‘war injuries’, which are now technically gone due to no phazon in the world. Despite all the bad news going around about Samus Aran and BSL incident, Rayl unlike many still respects her, and for good reason: He’d be dead if she hadn’t infiltrated the Space Pirate Homeworld and eventually destroyed that monster planet.
Fun Facts:
- Rayl’s identification Code was used by Gandrayda when she turned into a Federation Marine, potentially Rayl himself, and lured Samus to her location.
- Rayl often makes references to things not seen in space, Earth things of course, such as how, for example, he’ll state he wants to find a fly-thru Burger King if he’s hungry, often to the confusion of his comrades.
- Rayl was friends with SPC M. Angseth, who was part of GFMC Task Force Herakles. It is only until recently he learned why Samus was a great person though, and had also originally though the Legendary Hunter was a Myth and a promotional tool to boost moral or to recruit male and female soldiers. He has no clue what happened to his friend.
- Still carries around his useless PED Unit for some unknown reason.
- Rayl always Mocks the T61 Saucers as he always saw them in old Earth Movies.
- - Was Born in what was ( In our own time ) The State of Wyoming in the United States, and speaks with a Western Accent ( yes, he says Yee-Haw sometimes ;P )
-Rayl, although he has a ship, is not the best pilot around, as he often travels in groups of Marines in a carrier ship with an advanced pilot rather than fighting dogfights. He's a foot soldier more so.
