A while back I recieved a pair of Skullcandy headphones. The lowriders, to be specific. They were amazing. But then, a while later, the plastic part that slides out for size adjustment snapped. So I fixed it with some super glue. Then the other side snapped. After recieving a replacement pair, the exact same thing happend. Then my friend John's Skullcandy headphones broke the exact same way. So by now it's pretty damn obvious that this is a defect in all of that type of headphones. So... I'm still in need of a new pair. Anyone have suggestions for some quality headphones that aren't insanely overpriced?

It depends. Do you wear them for their listening abilities or style?

My Hollow It depends. Do you wear them for their listening abilities or style? Listening ability, of course. I liked how they fit, and how much noise they blocked out. Also, I'd like actual earphones, not those buds that damage your hearing so much more.

Skullcandy 'phones are overpriced and, as you've seen, shoddily manufactured. Really, all earbuds are inferior to a set of headphones, as you said. The only problem is that over-the-ear headphones are usually painfully expensive.

I think skullcandy has the worse sounding headphones next to sony. I'm a big fan of Philips and Sennheiser, I have yet to get bad pair of either.

Yeah, but they were my first pair (I had just gotten sick of buds) and I'm not too knowledgable on the subject. I'll look into some of these...

Good choice. If mine break I plan on getting another pair. I'm actually suprised how durable these headphones are, usually I break headphones within a few months, I've had these for about a year. 3nodding
