To limit the amout of RP'ers and in honor of the up coming breeding event, this RP is single's only! BDQuote: Wide Plains- A large field of tall grass and few trees, this is a place made for both frolicking and hunting. The occasional junked car or decaying house interrupts the sea of grass and makes for a fun (albeit rather unsafe) hide away for fawns to play, and the lake to the west is a great place for fishing or swimming. Taz treaded through the grass, looking for a place to wait. It had been a week or two since the Mion fiasco, and so she had decided to invite some herla to the fields to "hang out". It wasn't something she normally did, nor did she want to make it a habit, but she was feeling a bit bored since the excitement had died down. Training her lackeys (fine, Mions) had only so much appeal. She had to admit they were clever little creatures, though, and she had lost the urge to throw them out or sneak away while they weren't looking. If only Max would stop gnawing on her gems and Min would stop stealing a ride on her harness! Ah well.
She found a good spot by an old hunk of metal to sit (it was aluminum and steel). Unfortunatly, Taz wasn't sure who she was waiting for. She had issued a broad invitation to a few herla who said they would pass it on. She hoped some came, but it wouldn't be that bad to spend a day out here alone. It really was a nice day. A few sweet smelling flowers were beginning to bloom in the tall grass. She sniffed one. Max walked up to the flower, sniffed, and ate it. Taz sighed. Where were they?

Shen kept his head low, he couldnt really believe he'd come..The invite was to good though, the chance of getting to meet some of the others. As much as he hated to admit it he was a bit new, anti-social despite his awkward attempts at introducing himself. Making friend's really just wasn't his forte..
And yet despite his newness he already had someone he was crushing on, and even someone he disliked. There was no logical reason for his feelings of course! Seeing as he hadn't truly met anyone, only watched from a distance, but still he was a rather emotional male acting on impulse instead of rational thought.
Hooves light against the earth as he moved swiftly through the tall bladed grass, tail swishing slowly behind him, eyes scanning across the wide vastness that were the plains. It was beautiful in an eerie way. Occasionally having to watch his footing, hopping over a log, sidestepping a plate of discarded metal roofing. Lost in his own little world of thought until he noticed a bright purple spot within the field, standing out amongst all the other bland green and brown earthy colors. He stood there for a moment just watching mentally frozen before he forced himself to take a deep breath. Letting it out in a long sigh, ears flatting against his head as he moved forwards.."This..is going to be interesting.." he muttered to himself, trying to dispel the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach and be optimistic for once.

One of them wasn't far trying his hardest to ditch a certain little critter that seemed attached to his hip ever since that stocking fiasco with the Mions. Rene was like a magnet, akin to being a pest but Iris just didn't have the heart to be so mean and tell her to get lost. Instead he would devise silly plans in tricking the little Mion with shiny objects and trinkets. Then when she wasn't looking he'd sneak off into the woodlands hurrying to his preferred destination. Only this didn't work so well, every time he thought he had managed to get away, Rene would pop from underground right in the middle of the trail; her little critter noises the only indication of her upset.
With a sigh, Iris would reluctantly give up, letting the Mion ride atop his golden head. Today was no different as he entered the clear looking around. This was the place he met Valle, for a moment he didn't seem to want to enter but Rene quickly made a protest pulling on his ear. "Hey stop that!" Moving forward Iris noticed the form of Taz laying in the grass with two Mion's of her own. "Ah..." Bowing his head Rene jumped off rushing to the other Mions probably eager to make new friends. This in turn was a relief to Rene's presence. Though as he continued through the mix of metal and wood he noticed yet another purple figure he had yet to me. "Hello." He called to the Herla from behind, his wings fluttering happily at meeting someone new. He pranced around the other with good cheer before moving toward Taz offering a greeting as well. "I made it!"

Taz was close to dozing off when a pink flash dashed past her. Not anouther Mion! Wait, she had seen that one before! It was the female that had frightened Iris. Max and Min seemed to recognize the creature as well and skipped forward to meet her. Looking up, Taz saw the herla the pink fluff had decided to follow. She had been looking forward to seeing Iris, he was just so fun to tease.
Anouther herla had come too. She had met him before, but had forgotten when and what he said his name was. Shoop, or San, or something maybe? Mentally shrugging, she rose. "Glad you did, Iris! You're looking cuter every day, aren't you?" She teased him, and hazarding a guess at the other's name, continued. "Hi Shen! How have you been doing?"

It wasn’t often that Narcissa felt hesitant, but today was one of those days. She had gotten bored just sitting around and staring at her reflection and so she had headed out to the plains, looking rather nervous. It was also rather rare for her not to be full of self-confidence, but today she was going to meet with other herla’s, and she wasn’t nearly as graceful with her social skills as she would have liked. When it came to talking to other people she didn’t really know what to do other then be polite, though even then she had a hard time doing it around certain herla, it was so much easier to just think to herself and look at her reflection in a pond then to have a conversation.
As she walked through the tall grasses she could see the rusted metal, where she was supposed to meet the others at, just up ahead. Letting out a sigh she craned her neck and slowly stepped approached it, ‘what to say, what to say?!’ she thought, her mind racing. She stopped a few feet away when the other herla came into view, “sorry I’m late,” she murmured and attempted to curtsy apologetically.

Shen tensed up slightly as the rather feminly looking male came too close to him following him with his eyes, ears pricked as the male circled him for a moment. At least he assumed the other herla was a male, it was rather hard to be sure at times with iris..."Hi to you too, you seem bubbly today" he said calmly a small smile reaching his face at iris's obvious cheeriness, he must have been invited here as well.
"I've been fine, you look well Taz" shen positively beamed at being acknowledged by her. Following in iris's steps as he quickly trotted forwards to be with them. Shed actually remembered his name! He knew he shouldn't feel so giddy about something so stupid as that, but he did. Glancing over his shoulder as the new female approached, standing next to tazmin as he gave her a cheeky little grin. "No need to be sorry! Heh your hardly late uhm.." realizing he didnt have the first clue as to what her name was though he used his most friendly voice when speaking to her..It was almost daunting realizing how many other herlas he hadn't even met yet.

Introductions were certainly not El Tivo's forte, though he could have sworn they used to be. It appeared that traveling with two dorks and a hoochie had made him somewhat dull, as they stuck out more in the crowd than he did. Often he was pushed to the back, or only told stories when no one else would listen. Though to be honest, he did not mind at all. Really, he just wanted a nice, big, juicy apple.
At some point, El Tivo received an invitation, and it was now what he carried in his mouth as he made his way to the listed destination. He found himself prancing between trees, and into a clearing that was nice and lush (or so he thought to himself). He did not get very far before he finally heard voices, and slowly crept up to find what he had gotten himself into.
Clearly there were seven others: two of which seemed to be female, two male, and three...he did not know what they were. One of the males at first he thought was actually a female, but listening close the voice was deeper than that of a females. One of the girls seemed to be nervous, the way she held herself and spoke, the other outgoing. The girlie male seemed elegant yet troubled, and the other male seemed similar to the first girl. The three little things seemed to be silly. Gulping, he continued ahead to introduce himself to them. After all, he had already somewhat gotten a first impression of them, and it would be selfish and creepy to just sit there and listen.
"Pardon me, he mumbled as he walked up, invitation still in his mouth, "have I come to the right place or am I lost?"

Iris frowned slightly at being called cute. He had come to realize he just couldn't get such designations off of other Herla's tongues. Not that it was a bad thing but he was aiming to be a buck his father would be proud to call son; it just so happened he took most of his beauty from his mother. With a sigh he let the teasing go, deciding he's sulk a little over it until another pretty Herla he had yet to meet appeared. "Hihi!"he called a little too cheerily, always the most eager to be at social events.
Fairy wings fluttered with glee as yet another Herla had come into the clearing. An invitation in his mouth. "Oh! You didn't have to bring it!" Iris fretted rushing over and circling the white Herla. "This is a meeting for friends!" At least he assumed but Iris wasn't the brightest crayon in the box as most already knew.

Narcissa smiled and her ears flicked back and forth at the sound of their voices, the swift movement shifting her hat slightly out of place. The purple male seemed about as awkward as she felt, her eyes jumped over to the more feminine looking male, he seemed incredibly optimistic, which wasn't a bad thing. "Ah, hello," she bowed her head, "my name is Narcissa." A bright smile flashed across her face as she gazed about at the other herla. Her eyes danced over to the purple female, "lovely day isn't it?" she asked trying to break free from her awkwardness.
As yet another herla appeared she stepped carefully to the side, not wanting to get dirty as well as be out of the way. This male had an invitation in his mouth, which she found very odd, didn't he have some place to put it? Her own was tucked carefully into her clothes, hidden within the folds. As she gazed upon him she felt vaguely irritated, there was something about the way he was looking at them that seemed to say he was assessing them. She pawed at the ground and snorted before holding her head up high and glancing away.
"So what exactly is this gathering for...?"

Her invitations had been successful, two herla she had never even seen before showed up with Iris and Shen (whew, she got his name right). That was nice, but now Taz as a bit intimidated. The first to show was a decked out doe who actually curtsied. She obviously wasn't used to social graces; who curtsies anymore? The second was a dashing buck with a faint spanish accent who carried the scrap of faded purple paper that was the invitation in his mouth. He seemed to have an intelligent air about him, like he was paying close attention. Well, they both seemed nice enough. "Well you might be lost, but you seem to have the right invitation and you're welcome here if you want to stay. I'm Taz, Tazmin, nice to meet both of you."
She briefly glanced at the frolicking Mions, buying time. Darn. She was hoping no one would ask why she invited everyone. She had to admit she was a bit embarrest. "Well, what's wrong with some socializing? This isn't a formal meeting, I was just in the area and wondered if anyone would like to hang out." she said and sighed. "There is something I could use some help with if it's not terrible trouble, though, I suppose. I kinda managed to lose something..."

Shen nodded happily "What iris say's a meeting of friends" at least he didnt know if there was any particular reason for there gathering. Tilting his head as he looked the new male over..how..interesting. No horns a long flowing tail, shen had definitely never seen him around anywhere before.
Narcissa, even her name was fancy, elegant. "Nice name" giving a small unsure bow of his head in return, she seemed pretty friendly as well. "Nothing wrong at all with socializing tazmin! This is just so..awkward..Heh I suck at meeting people" he admitted outright, shrugging as his tail curled around his back leg, at this point he wished he could share iris's bubbly carefree personality. Lucky little flower.. Hopes perking up when she mentioned some task, something to keep him busy! Wonderful, and save them from this odd silence, what a genius the doe was! "Help? Anything for you Taz, so what'd you loose anyways. Is it something important, something rare?" tail swishing as a bit of his enthusiasm returned to him. He just had to keep reminding himself that he was here for a reason...what that reason was he had no clue but still he felt the need to at least make some friends. He just hoped the lost item had nothing to do with those little mions..they were cute but at the same time seeing the little critters creeped him out.

Iris pranced around the group happy to get out and make friends. The idea of a social gathering never scared him - of course unless there were Herla that were destined to eat him - he shuddered at the though. Perking up as Tazmin spoke he nodded his heat tail flicking excitedly at some activity for them to take part in. His wings fluttered with anticipation as he stopped bouncing around the group to stop near Taz. "I can help too right?" He asked poking Taz in the shoulder with his nose. "Is it something shiny?" Of course this would be his main question because if it were then both Iris and Rene could find almost any shiny bit of treasure if lost.

Narcissa frowned a little, losing things was never good, especially when it might require getting dirty. "So what was it you lost?" she asked tilting her head, she desperately hoped that Tazmin didn't lose whatever it was someplace muddy. "And where did you lose it?" she raised an eyebrow and pawed at the dirt beneath her feet again worrying about getting filthy. When the purple male spoke to her she smiled and turned to look at him, "why thank you," she chuckled. She straightened up rather proudly, there was only one thing she loved as much as herself, and that was flattery, she could tell she would like this guy already. Now as for the others, they hadn't complimented her so it would be harder to tell if she would like them, she smiled to herself. She glanced at the more feminine male and chuckled, it seemed this one was interested in shiny things, she couldn't exactly blame him though. "If it's shiny it will be easier to find i suppose..."

Though El Tivo returned gestures and hellos, he still remained quiet the whole time. Observing, listening, dozing of...in other words, his usual things to do. In truth, he had gotten a lack of sleep the night before, and one or two of the looks he was being given put him off slightly. Was he welcomed by some people, but not by all?
It had appeared his mind was in the clouds, until the word 'shiny' and 'find' caught his ear. Blinking for a moment, he tried to listen in and catch what was going on. Too bad for him the conversation was pretty much over.
"Pardon me," he butted in, trying to seem as if he fit in with the group, "but is something lost? Perhaps I can help you. I used to travel with some treasure seekers."
