Oh my...just what should I do...?
It seems that this time Hyo really had dug his own grave. But...but it would be really impolite to decline participation in an organization-wide event... So he applied, not knowing exactly what all this was about...
And now he knew.
And he had a feeling that he's going to die from embarrassment.
So it appears that he's been paired up randomly with another member, and...and...they were supposed to give each other...'symbols of love'.
At that thought Hyo's blush got even deeper. Just how can he give a 'symbol of love' to somehow he doesn't love...?
And the fact that he had no idea who is going to receive his gift...it made it even worse.
If he only knew, he could've look around for that person, find something that would match him... But now... he could only guess.
He was having a slight hope that he'd be paired with Abel. Abel, he knew how to treat (somewhat), and being in such a situation with him could be bearable... Or...or the Kind Spirit, oh, if he could only give a symbol of his adoration to Raai... His thoughts drifted away, leaving him with a sheepish grin. But he quickly got hold of himself. This wasn't the time or place for this.
He decided that the best way would be to present something that he wouldn't be ashamed (too much) to present to Abel. He had a feeling that if he used the Kind Spirit as a scale, he might get WAY overboard.
So he spent a few hours in the garden, between the blooming trees, looking for a perfect branch with an ideal amount of flowers. When he finally found it, he cut it carefully, not too big, not too small, and took it to his room for decoration.
Flowers don't need much extra accessories, that's what he was taught. If presented correctly, they didn't need much work at all.
But observing the pictures in the library scrolls, he decided to add a little detail to it, in form of a delicate, white silk ribbon. He draped it on the branch in a presentable way, and then proceeded to the last part.
He took a piece of parchment, and cut it to a form of a message ticket. It wasn't exactly what he was used to, but this would work...
On the one side, he painted an ink miniature - a bit generic one, but still with a message matching the occasion - a pair of small birds sitting on a blooming tree. And when the ink dried, on the other side he added a short poem in korean - also nothing too deep into the area of love, he didn't want his partner to get any wrong ideas, but enough to show that he had positive feelings. Then he attached it to the ribbon, and finally it was ready.
And just in time to go to the meeting place. Welllll... Even a bit over that time, to be honest.
..hopefully he won't be too annoyed with me...
Hyo hurried as much as the manners allowed him, finally arriving in the library - the place of the meeting - a good half-hour late.
Please make him not be annoyed...
He peeked inside, and saw someone. Probably the person he was supposed to meet...
...and that person...was...very...shiny...
The pale skin, the golden hair, yes, they weren't that new to him since he arrived at LOTUS, but now he was going to talk with such a person...face-to-face...
As quietly as he only could, he entered the room, and moved towards that person, trying to position himself in such a way that he won't be seen. Oh, if he looked at him right now, he would certainly die...
He stopped behind that person, and carefully, carefully, still trying to be unseen, placed the decorated branch on the table next to that person, and quickly turned around, so that only his back would be seen. And yet he had to cover his face with his sleeve, his blush was so deep. This was too much, too much... His whole body was shaking with fear, and a feeling that he just did something that he really, really shouldn't have done.
And yet, he could only wait for that person to notice him...
