"The world is a cold place with no warmth. You can delude yourself into thinking there is but that just makes the coming chill all the more colder."
A little excerpt from a kind of philosophical book I'm planning to write.

wow, you really believe that the world is like some horrible black abyss that we are all slowly freezing in. geez, talk about glass half empty. I don't believe that the world is a generally cold-getting-colder place. sure, there are times when I feel abandoned and like i'm alone in a situations, but I also believe that that feeling is only temporary and that I can choose to change my emotions of self pity and abandonment. the only person that dictates my situtation is myself and that is something that I can change into light and warmth rather than sulking in the cold.

In reality no I do not. If anything I am optimistic in a pessimistic fashion. I always tell myself that it's not that bad because it could be worse. So in a way I am optimistic by saying that it could be worse. Well my philosophical book (if I write one) will be centered around the fact that nothing is all bad and nothing is all good. So I'll teach to not delude yourself into thinking either. When something bad happens something good comes from it and when something good happens something bad happens because of it. It works both ways like that.

the earth is coming to an end. species are dying, heat is closing in on us, and resources are running out. we comfort ourselves with comfort food, shiny new clothes, and items that are so close to useless that when you look back 10 years later, you'll find yourself wondering why you bought it and how the heck you use it. this only makes things worse, and the way to fix it is clear, but price is the main factor in the world. they go on killing th planet, barely caring. and have any world leaders done what they promised? they promise a shiny way to go, but later decide it's much too expensive. we were the universe's worst mistake.

i have a theory: boredom is the cause of our actions. for example, i was bored when i tripped someone with my chair and gave him a huge bruise. now that was fun.

That sounds a like personal philosophy rather then an applicable, universal philosophy. Is the book a autobiography?
