Izzy loved the snow. Though she would never tell anyone about it, she really did. Watching the large flakes from the inside, she sat mesmerized by the winter season until she couldn't stand it any longer and snuck outside. As soon as her paws touched the soft white mass, she took off at a dead run through it into the woods, all the while laughing and smiling.

The sidehkynd rarely smiled, and even when she did, it wasn't beneficial for others. During these rare moments she could really let her defences down and act like a kitten, pouncing at snowflakes and making snow blizzards with her tail. " Take that, snow monster! " She huffed in triumph, poised ontop of a demolished snow pile. " No one can defeat the Izzy the maginificent, no one! " Tilting her head back, she laughed into the frigid wind.

Tami stalked through the snow, hating everything about it, not least the way she sunk into it so deeply, all the way up to her belly. And it was nothing like swimming, despite the way the melted snow would turn back into her beloved water, and there was no grace or freedom of movement or - splat.

Tami shook her head to clear it, then scowled up at the sky. "It isn't funny, Keahi!"

Keahi ignored her and purred contentedly from his perch on the tree branch. " 'Red and yellow, no good for camoflauge,' you said, 'you'll never manage to sneak up on me,' you said-"

With an angry growl, Tami slipped under the snow and started tunneling away from Keahi. She couldn't see where she was going - no, this was nothing like swimming - but at least she'd be safe from attacks from above.

In theory.

Izzy fluttered up into the flaky rain and flew a little bit away from her original spot. She was on a mission now, one in which she would find the biggest snow pile possible before dropping herself into it.

Movement in the snow below caused her to pause and when she looked down, a lump stood out from the otherwise flat snow she was used to and....wait, it couldn't be moving. No, no, that would just be too weird.

" Hey wait..." Izzy ducked down closer to it and was pleased to note that if she were to, per say, fold her wings up and drop straight into it that she may be swallowed up entirely. Squeeling with delight, she did just that.

8O Its raining cats!

Tami screamed as something big dropped down on her, and desperately struggled to get away. It didn't take her very long to realize just what had dropped on her, however, for what else could be large and warm blooded and furry? Keahi, that rat! Hissing with anger, she sank her claws into "Keahi." That would teach him!

"Turn around for a moment and she's gone," Keahi muttered under his breath. "Now where-" He paused as a large white and rainbow object dropped from the sky into a large snow pile. Could that have been another sidehkynd? The first one he met outside of the family! How exciting, he couldn't wait to-

Keahi groaned as Tami first screamed, then hissed angrily, only too easily guessing what must have happened. So much for a good first impression!

Izzy screamed when the snow screamed. One moment she'd been filled with snow fancy and now, she was scared to death that she had killed an unforeseen being. She scrambled to get off the creature, then screamed again, this time in pain when claws were digging into her fur. Her beautiful, white fur.

Retaliating with a swift kick to her attackers face, Izzy hissed and prepared to defend her gorgeous-ness. Formalities placed aside, she was thoroughly pissed that her flawless coat was ruined by some mole hiding under the snow. Whatever the little creature was, it was about to pay by becoming her supper.

Tami squealed as a foot rammed into her face. For all his faults, that was something Keahi would never do. Terrified, she sunk her teeth into her attackers foot and tried to squirm away, burrow through the snow. Her attacker had come from above, with any luck they wouldn't be able to follow her through the snow. Whatever they were, they weren't a lachkynde.

"Hey!" Keahi cried, starting to worry about both Tami and this new Sidhekynd. He lunged into the struggle and tried to get between the two females, separating them long enough to get them to see reason.
