Alright, I know I sound ooberly stupid, if you knew already, but I was wondering about the time period of FMA...
In 1899, Edward was born. Okay, now, in 1910, they burned their house. (Edward-11 Alphonse-10 As most already knew.) But, I was thinking, after I watched the movie, the other side of the gate is all about war over world domination. Stop. If it was all about "World" domination...The start of WWI was...in 1914...Edward was 15 in 1914...So...War, violence, world domination, Germany....
Anyone catching what I'm thinking?
Now, I could be wrong, but the time frame was perfect. And, I did some research to tie it together, just to make sure...
"The Zeppelin, also known as blimp, was an airship that was used during the early part of the war in bombing raids by the Germans."
"Planes were also used for the first time. At first they were used to deliver bombs and for spying work but became fighter aircraft armed with machine guns, bombs and some times cannons."
"Rockets were used in World War I."

Edward was 18 in...1917? Yep.
So the war lasted a year after that...
