Van: -Peeks in, his ears pin back as he sees the male- .. -Slips in and begins to do his job-

Ezekiel: *Gaze immediately locks on Van* You! Where do you keep the jam?

Kristen: *Frowns as she pads in the kitchen* Have you ever heard of manners?

Ezekiel: *Doesn't even glance at Kristen*

Van: -Jumps as Ezekiel turns to him. Quickly points to a cabinet- There are jams in there.

Ezekiel: *Grunts, digs in the cabinet*

Kristen: *Climbs onto a chair at the kitchen table*

Van: -Steps back and stands next to Kristen- D-do you need anything else?

Ezekiel: No, stop talking to me *Opens a jar of strawberry jam, sniffs at it*

Kristen: *Sighs* Just ignore him Van. If he does not have the decency to show you manners, then he is not worth your time

Van: -Watches Ezekiel- If you say so Kristen, but..that guy kills people. He attacked Kevin last week... -Fidgets as he remembers-

Kristen: All have their weaknesses, even rude killers. Flick some salt at him and he will go running to hiding

Ezekiel: *Pauses with what he's doing, turns to glare at Van and Kristen from over his shoulder*

Kristen: And Ryo's outside

Ezekiel: ... *Growls fades from view* .... *Fades back into view, grabs his bagel and fades from view again*

Van: -Blinks- Is he really outside?

Kristen: Yes *Smiles a little* He is watching over Yetaru and Liza. Last I saw, the two teens were mewling at each other

Van: Oh. Sounds cute.

Kristen: It was. *Looks over the kitchen* Would you like some help?

Van: There really isn't much to really do, surprisingly. I guess everyone is out or just being clean.

Kristen; You get to take a break then?

Van: I suppose I do,

Kristen: Is there anything in particular you wish to do?

Van: Hm, did we ever finish our conversation in how we would spend Valentines day?

Kristen: I do not believe that we did *Slowly tilts her head*

Van: Is there anything you really want to do, or anywhere you would like to go?

Kristen: *Shakes her head* Not really. How about you Van?

Van: Well, um..we can always do something here if it is too cold, or go out to the lake or something.

Kristen: *Smiles slowly* A trip to the lake would be lovely.

Van: -Smiles- Then we will go there if we can.

Kristen: Perhaps, if the weather is good, we could have a picnic of sorts.

Van: Hm, I think that will add to the loveliness. -Nods- A panic by the lake it is.

Kristen: I look forward to it *Reaches over and lightly tugs on Van's shirt* Be sure to dress warm my friend

Van: -Chuckles and nods- I will. Don't worry about it.

Kristen: *Smiles and sits back* ...Be sure to let me know if you choose to change your plans. Say, if you find yourself a Valentine

Van: -Shakes his head- I said I would spend Valentines day with you, and I mean it. There will be no changes-

Kristen: Love is more important than spending a day with a friend Van. I would not be offended if you found yourself that special someone. *Smiles, though it's a little sad* I would be happy for you

Van: But.. you are a special kind of friend to me Kristen..

Kristen: *Smiles softly* Oh?

Van: -Nods- Yeah

Kristen: I am touched...You are a special friend to me as well Van

Van: -Smiles- That is...very touching also.

Kristen: I am glad you think so

Van: -Nods- So, you have no reason to worry.

Kristen: Alright, I shall not worry then

Van: Good then. -smiles-

Kristen: *Smiles back, then looks around* It is unusually quiet

Van: It is kind of nice.

Kristen; *Nods in agreement* It is

Van: Have you been up to anything since we last talked?

Kristen: Not particularly. My stalker shows up every now and then. But pretty much, all I have been doing is spending time with Caeculus

Van: You mean that little kit?

Kristen: *Nods* He seems to enjoy being my shadow whenever he can

Van: I guess he is still attached to you.

Kristen: It will fade with time. When he finds himself a girl

Van: Ah, there is always the chance he will still have a connection with you even after that.

Kristen: Maybe the kind that one shares with a teacher, but nothing more. *Smiles a little* But I am fine with that, I have enough trouble keeping track of Caeculus and Yarrow

Van: Well Yarrow has Erik, and Cae has Turk, so I'm sure they aren't getting in too much trouble.

Kristen: You would be surprise.

Van: ..True. I guess I forgot about the trouble that happens around here.

Kristen: Yarrow sadly, does not have a very good sense of direction. And Caeculus...is Caeculus.

Van: -Sighs- I'm suprise no one has gone mad yet.

Kristen: Maybe someone has, they are just good at hiding it?

Van: Alright then. Please don't mess anything up! -Takes a towel and cleans up the drool- ..Something is going to get messed up...

Kristen: *Quietly slips in and sits behind Van* Why do you say that Van?

Van: -Ears perk as he jumps and spins- Oh, Kristen, hello there. I said that cause..well..it's Ishy..and I think that is explanation enough..

Kristen: True *Tilts her head slowly* Would you like some assistance?

Van: It was just drool, and I cleaned it. So..um..how have you been since our...outing?

Kristen: I have been well. Yourself?

Van: I've been well too. Just been thinking a lot more.

Kristen: *Blinks slowly* If I may ask, what have you been thinking about?

Van: Just...I guess about what was said during out picnic.

Kristen: Ahhh *Smiles slowly* Good thoughts I hope?

Van: -Smiles- They are. No worries.

Kristen: I am glad then *Pauses* I have been thinking of you

Van: That's good. -Sits down next to Kristen-

Kristen: *Slowly leans against Van* Has your day been busy?

Van: -Shakes his head- Nope, surprisingly I got to have a day off for once.

Kristen: That is nice. How have you spent your day off?

Van: Just resting...and thinking..about you among other things.

Kristen: *Laughs softly* I am pleased to know that I have been in your thoughts

Van: Well, -smiles- I guess it can't be helped.

Kristen: I suppose I know what you mean

Van: You do?

Kristen: *Nods* I have been thinking about you after all

Van: Ah, true. I was..surprised when you told me you liked me.

Kristen: Why is that?

Van: Well...I wasn't expecting it of course, and..I never imagined you would like me like that.

Kristen: Why would I not? *Looks up at Van* You are a sweet man Van, a true treasure

Van: -Blushes- Uh..um..t-thanks Kristen. You..You're very sweet too. One in a million.

Kristen: *Smiles* I am only sweet to people that I like though Van

Van: Well..I've never seen the meaner side of you, so I wouldn't know.

Kristen: And I hope that you never have to...

Van: -Blinks and goes still as he sees the mess in the dryer- ... -faints-

Kristen: *Blinks slowly when she hears something hit the floor. Goes to investigate*

Van: -Groans as the world spins-

Kristen: *Pads over to Van while frowning in concern* Van?

Van: -Groans again and blinks- Hello? Yes? Who?

Kristen: What happened Van?

Van: -Holds his head in pain from the fall- Ugh, um..there was blood and guts all over the inside of the dryer and..I just blacked out and fainted...

Kristen: *Looks over at the dryer, then back down at Van* Wait here, and do not move *Pads off*

Van: -Nods and slowly sits up-

Kristen: *Returns with a pillow*

Van: -Tilts his head- What's that for?

Kristen: *Sets the pillow down* It is for you. You hit your head rather hard, I do not think you should be moving

Van: I..I suppose so. -Sighs as he lays back down-

Kristen: Would you like some Tylenol? Or a cool wash cloth?

Van: -Shakes his head and groans from the pain- ..Maybe I should take some Tylenol...

Kristen: I will be right back then *Pads off*

Van: -Sighs as he rubs his head and stares at the ceiling- I'm so...ugh..weak..

Kristen: *Comes back with the thing of Tylenol, since she doesn't have hands to open it. Leaves to get water*

Van: -Slowly rises and opens the bottle of Tylenol and looks down at all the pills-

Kristen: *Comes back with a glass of water and sets it next to Van* Do you require anything else?

Van: -Shakes two pills on to his hand and smiles- I'm fine. Thank you Kristen. -Reluctantly swallows the pills and follows them with water-

Kristen: Are you certain? *Watches Van closely*

Van: -Closes the bottle and lays back down- Yes, I'm sure Kristen.

Kristen: Alright. Let me know if you change your mind *Hesitates, before leaning down and placing an innocent kiss on Van's forehead*

Van: -Blinks and blushes lightly. Smiles- I will Kristen. Don't worry.

Kristen: *Slowly smiles a little in return* All right. You rest, I will clean the dryer

Van: Oh, no no! You don't have to do that!

Kristen: *Looks down at Van* ... *Nods, but plans on cleaning it if/when he slips off* Would you like a blanket?

Van: Um..I-I suppose if it is needed.

Kristen: *Pads off once again*

Van: -Rolls on to his side and sighs-

Kristen: *Returns with a blanket and lays it over Van* How is your head?

Van: -Curls up with the blanket- I think the Tylenol is helping to ease the pain. -Pills kicking in and making him a bit sleepy-

Kristen: I am glad *Smiles at him*

Van: -Blinks as he tries to stay awake. Yawns a little- Mm, thanks for helping me, by the way.

Kristen: It was my pleasure *Lifts a paw to stroke his cheek with the back of it* Sleep Van

Van: -Nods as he yawns and closes his eyes, the pills taking him to dreamland-

Kristen: *Smiles, then sets to work on cleaning the dryer*

Van: -Mumbles something in his sleep and rolls over-

Kristen: *Flicks an ear and looks back at Van, then goes back to cleaning*

Van: -Nods and stumbles off-

Kristen: *Is playing chess, by herself, in the kitchen*

Van: -Stumbles in to the kitchen still kind of dazed and dizzy from the MO room-

Kristen: *Looks up at Van, blinks slowly* ...Van?

Van: Hm? -Lifts his head and looks down at Kristen- It's nothing. I'm just a bit tired.

Kristen: Would you like for me to get something for you?

Van: Uh..I guess some water would be fine.

Kristen: *Pads over and pulls open the fridge. Searched for some bottled water since she can't exactly get a glass*

Van: -Blinks and stares at the chess board- Play by yourself?

Kristen; Yes *Pulls out a bottle of water and closes the fridge. Pads back over to Van and holds it out to Van* It help me think

Van: Thank you. -Takes the bottle and twists the cap- What were you think about, if you don't mind me asking?

Kristen: *Hops up onto the chair across from Van* Many things I suppose. My family, you...

Van: -Takes a few sips of the water as his ears perk- Me?

Kristen: Yes *Rests her chin on the table* I think about you often Van. It makes me feel like a smitten teenager at times

Van: Oh, well. I guess I can't really say anything since I am sort of the same with you, and I don't have negative feelings on this, other than maybe the occasion feeling of worry and nervousness.

Kristen: *Smiles softly* I am flattered, and pleased, that you think of me. Are you feeling better?

Van: -Nods- Yes, thanks. Ri does a good job a suppose, but..I'm not to sure about the methods...

Kristen: *Smiles* You look very handsome Van

Kristen; *Walks in, looks down at Ishie and Riri. Raises a brow*

Riri: CRAB! -noms-

Van: -Ear flicks- Hello Kristen.

Ishei: NOOO!

Kristen: Good evening Van *Looks up at Van* Do I even want to know what's going on here? Or why some strange woman is chasing Yarrow around outside, and yelling about Lucky Charms?

Van: No, no..you don't want to know. I don't even know everything to well.

Kristen: Alright *Skirts past us and walks up to Van. Rests a hand on his arm* How are you then?

Van: -Smiles- I'm doing fine. And you?

Kristen: I am well *Smiles a slowly and rubs Van's arms* You get pinched at all today?

Van: -Tail twitches as he blushes lightly. Shakes his head- No. Everyone has been hiding so they won't get pinched.

Kristen: *Laughs softly* You have been hiding?

Van: Well.. -blushes more and nods-

Kristen: I suppose that one can not blame you. Not around here anyways

Van: Well luckily Ishie didn't pinch me. Apparently he likes me and I am too nice to pinch. -Shrugs-

Kristen: You are to nice to pinch

Van: Really?

Kristen: *Nods* Yes. A sweet person like you, it is hard to imagine anyone wishing to cause you pain

Van: I knew I was nice, but never that nice. -Fidgets-

Kristen: *Laughs softly* You are trully adorable

Van: -Fidgets more and looks down at his feet- T-thanks.

Kristen: Am I making you uncomfortable?

Van: -Quickly looks up and shakes head- Oh, no, No!

Kristen: *Tilts her head* Are you certain?

Van: -Gives Kristen a quick peck on the cheek and nods- I'm certain.

Kristen: *Ears perk, blushes* Oh

Van: Um.-rubs the back of his neck- Yeah.

Kristen: *Smiles, holds out her hand to Van* Come with me?

Van: -Blinks and takes Kristen's hand- Alright.

Kristen: *Leads Van away from all the noise and to the quiet living room. Takes her sword off and rests it on the floor, then sits on the couch. Pats the spot next to her*

Van: -Nods and takes the spot next to Kristen-

Kristen: *Shifts, rests her head on Van's shoulder* You enjoy music Van?

Van: Oh, yes, I do. Why?

Kristen: Just curious. Do you have a favorite kind?

Van: Well, I'll listen to anything really, but I suppose Alternative or calming music.

Kristen: *Nods, filing all this away* Do you have a favorite song?

Van: No, not really, but I suppose Dark Blue by Jacks Mannequin and Honestly by Cartel are good songs Stuff by The Fray and Maroon 5 is also good.

Kristen: I have never listened to any of those *Lifts a hand to brush some hair out of her face* Though I must admit, I do not listen to much music *Smiles* I shall make a point to listen to them though

Van: I listen..when I can, and sometimes I go to sleep while listening to music. You know, just letting it lull me to sleep.

Kristen: Like a mother's lullaby?

Van: -Nods- Yeah, I suppose you could put it that way.

Kristen: Sounds like a nice concept

Van: Well it is better than just laying around waiting for sleep to come.

Kristen: Did you mother sing you to sleep Van?

Van: She would from time to time until I got to a certain age.

Kristen: *Closes her eyes as she thinks* Do you play any instruments?

Van: Well, my mom made me learn Violin, she also taught me some Piano, and I picked up the drums while I was in High School. Nothing big, just random beats and such.

Kristen: Do you still play either of those today?

Van: I have my violin in my room, and I usually play the piano for the kits and teens when they ask.

Kristen: How sweet of you *Smiles as she pictures Van playing for some kits*

Van: -Chuckles- Thanks.

Kristen: You must be very popular with the kits around here

Van: I suppose. Kits around here, that are actually part of our "group", are actually kind of rare compared to other places and groups.

Kristen: Oh? Why is that?

Van: I guess it is cause a good chunk of us don't go out much for one reason or another. Those that do, if they are in a relationship, then it has not progressed far for reasons. We also get more adults coming through lost than kits.

Kristen: How strange *Flicks an ear* ... Though I suppose it is the same way at Ishie's. It just does not seem that way due to their being more Namrah there than here...

Van: Well, hopefully things will change then, even though I know how some of them feel...why even bother going outside if no one will pay attention to you or even give a hello?

Kristen: It is sad...

Van: -Nods- But..at least we found each other and we never went out much. So, maybe the same could happen to others.

Kristen: Perhaps it could. *Lets out a soft laugh* It all depends on if other Namrah keep invading the building

Van: I'm not so sure if that will happen, but I suppose it could.

Kristen: *Slips out her hand to take one of Van's* We shall see

Van: -Smiles- Well, I'm just happy you happened to travel over here.

Kristen: And I am happy that I did. I have made dear friends during my stay *Squeezes Van's hand* And I met you

Van: -Continues to smile- I never though the kits I met would end up being someone I would fall for.

Kristen: *Tilts head back to smile up at Van* The world is full of surprises. Let us hope, that it has nothing but pleasant ones for us

Van: I hope so too, but just being with you is pleasant enough.

Kristen: *Blushes a little, nuzzles Van's shoulder* Vice versa Van

Van: Oh, what is the sword for?

Kristen: To protect those I care about

Van: Oh. You know how to use a sword?

Kristen: No, but I am learning

Van: -Nods- Be safe then.

Kristen: *Smiles* I shall

Van: -Hums as he begins to tug on his shoes and try not to topple over at the same time-

Kristen: *Nibbles on a gummy worm as she smiles and watches Van. Her tail slowly swishing behind her*

Van: -Taps the front of his shoes on the floor to make sure they are secure, then smiles up at Kristen- Ready to go then?

Kristen: *Nods, finishing her gummy* I am ready

Van: -Nods as he opens the door. Bows a bit and waves a hand towards the door- After you miss.

Kristen: *Lets out a soft laugh and blushes a little as she steps through the door* Why thank you good sir

Van: -Lightly chuckles as he closes and locks the door. He turns and looks around for a moment before walking down the front steps- The trip shouldn't take too much time, I hope. The sames goes for the reason for the trip. I just need to check out something real quick.

Kristen: I am fine no matter how long it takes. *Falls into step beside Van* Either way, I get to spend time with you *Smiles up at him*

Van: -Coughs and lightly blushes as he nods and stuffs his hands in his pockets- R-right then, so um..have you seen your family lately?

Kristen: *Shakes her head* No

Van: Oh, alright then...um..what was the yelling about this morning?

Kristen: Yelling? *Looks confused*

Van: Yes, I heard some kind of excited screaming, yelling or shouting today, before I woke up.

Kristen: Oh yes, that was Riri and Ishie *Shakes her head slowly* I swear those two run on never ending batteries

Kristen: *Out in the park, sitting on a swing. Her eyes closed as she enjoys the feel of a breeze stroking her face*

Van: -Enters the park with a backpack full of assorted fruits that he gathered from the meadow. Stops in his tracks and takes a moment to watch Kristen- Are you having fun?

Kristen: *Lips slowly curve in a smile at the sound of Van's voice.* I am just taking a moment to relax, I often forget to do so these days

Van: -Sets his backpack down and takes a seat on the extra swing. Smiles as he watches Kristen- Well you do deserve a break with all the help you have been doing around the building.

Kristen: *Slowly opens her eyes and turns her head to smile at Van* You deserve even more of a break than I do Van

Van: -Chuckles- Well, I get my little breaks here and there when I can. I suppose those are good enough.

Kristen: Are you on one now?

Van: -Blinks and scratches his head- I guess you can say that. I finished some stuff earlier, so I went out to gather some fruit.

Kristen: *Blinks slowly* Are there fruit trees near by?

Van: -Nods and smiles- Yes. There are a few around the meadow, like; cherry trees, apples, oranges and pears. Plush strawberry fields, blue berry bushes and other fruits.

Kristen: What is it that you collected today?

Van: I collected a little bit of everything that I could find. It kind of took a while to go through all the trees and bushes to find ripe ones and such.

Kristen: *Holds out a hand to Van* Would you like help cleaning them?

Van: -Grabs his backpack and takes Kristen's hand- I'd like that, if you really don't mind helping out.

Kristen: I enjoy any excuse to spend more time with you Van *Stand and brushes off the back of her skirt*

Van: -Holds his smile as he tries to push back a blush- Well, um..shall we be on our way then?

Kristen: *Nods slowly* Yes *Squeezes Van's hand while continuing to smiel at him, begins walking to the main building*

Van: -Keeps a tight grip on the strap of the bag as he walks along with Kristen- So, how have you been lately?

Kristen: I have been well *Tilts his head slightly* I acquired a new room mate

Van: -Blinks and looks curious- A new roommate?

Krsiten: Yes, a small kit named Akiano *Smiles* He is adorable

Van: -Softly chuckles- It seems your room is turning in to a small nursery lately.

Kristen: It would seem so *Sighs* They are just to cute to resist though. *Lays her head on Van's shoulder* Kuan is growing into a handsome young man, in no time he will be an adult

Van: -Smiles and squeezes Kristen's hand- Even when it is time for them to leave, I'm sure they will leave appreciating everything you did for them when they had no one else.

Kristen: I will them though, when it comes time. I will miss curling up with them at night to watch some movie or silly cartoon... *Shakes her head slowly* Enough about me. How have you been?

Van: Me? I've been alright. Been spending some time trying to..I guess counsel or support Jazz and Daveigh.

Kristen: *Frowns* Has something happened?

Van: Well they both broke up with their boyfriends cause of problems and such, basically failing relationships.


Kristen: Oh *Ears drop a little as she frowns in concern* They must be hurting a great deal

Van: -Nods- They are but..hopefully they will start to heal and move on.

Kristen: *Looks down at the ground and wonders how she'd feel if Van were to leave her. Tightens her hold on his hand*

Van: -Blinks in confusion, but then smiles while squeezing her hand again. Looks away for a moment and bites his lips, then turns back to Kristen and gives a quick peck on the cheek-

Kristen: *Blushes a little and smiles, her sad thoughts banished by the kiss. She lets go of Van's hand and steps up to hold open the door for him*

Van: Oh, thank you Kristen. -Walks in a heads over to the sink where he places the bag on the counters and starts placing the fruit on the counter-

Kristen: *Follows him inside* You are welcome Van *Walks over and leans against the counter while watching him*

Van: -Sets the bag on the floor once it is empty and turns on the water waiting for it to get warm- Hey, have you heard about Cae and Turk having a kid now?

Kristen: I have *Smiles softly* Caeculus can not stop talking about it, I am very happy for them

Van: -Chuckles- I am too. So far they seem to be doing well and taking good care of the egg.

Kristen: It will be interesting to see how the child turns out

Van: Well..with those two as parents the child will be nice at least, unless..he is one of those kids that will have nice parents but turn our rotten.

Kristen: I hope not *Frowns* I am not sure if they could handle a rotten child

Van: As long as they raise it right, then they have a good chance of getting a nice kit, so things will be alright.

Kristen: *Walks over to the and peers inside it* We shall have to wait and see

Van: -Tests the water again and grabs a bowl to place a few fruits in to run under the water and them scrub them to get any dirt and such off- I suppose so, but I wonder what kind of egg it is. It doesn't look like a normal namir egg.

Kristen: I was thinking tht perhaps it is some kind of bird Namir, since bird eggs lack the spikes and tail of a Namir's *Looks around* What would you like me to do?

Van: Oh, right. You can dry and store the fruit as I wash them if you want.

Kristen: *Nods* Alright *Gets a towel and waits for Van to hand her the first fruit* It seems quite tonight

Van: -Finishes washing up an apple and hands it over to Kristen- I don't know whether to be happy or worried at the fact.

Kristen: Then be both *Dries the apple and moves to put it away* Enjoy the quiet, but be on your guard

Van: You've seen me "On Guard". I lock myself in a room and don't come out. -Grabs another bowl and places another washed apple in it-

Kristen: *Laughs softly and walks over to Van, rubs his arm and nuzzles his shoulder* You need not worry when I am around Van *Walks over to dry the next apple* I can be on guard for the both of us

Van: -Smiles a little- Why thank you Kristen. It's nice to have a hero around to protect me in my time of need.

Kristen: *Blushes a little* I am no hero Van just a knight protecting someone she loves

Van: I know, -places a few more clean fruits in to the bowl and grabs more to clean- but I still really do appreciate it.

Kristen: *Smiles as she dries* Well, it always nice to know that one is appreciated

Van: It is, but I appreciate you for a lot of things.

Kristen: And I appreciate you *Sets the towel and the fruit down before turning to face Van* I appreciate you and what you do a great deal

Van: Well, all I do is cook and clean. A lot of people do that.

Kristen: *Shakes her head* You do more than that Van *Reaches out to rest a hand on his arm*

Van: -Blinks and tilts his head- I do?

Kristen: *Moves closer and rests her head on his shoulder* You make me feel like I matter, like I am special

Van: -Sighs and wraps his arms around Kristen to hug her- That is cause you do matter to me, and you are special to me.

Kristen: *Leans into the hug* I know, and that just makes me feel it even more *Closes her eyes* You are the only that makes me feel this way this strongly

Van: I'm glad I can do so. It wouldn't be good if I gave you any negative feelings.

Kristen: *Laughs softly* I suppose that is true *Takes a moment to debate something before leaning up to brush her lips over Van's in an innocent kiss*

Van: -Ears perk as he blushes and shyly returns the kiss-

Kristen: *Smiles and lifts a hand to brush back Van's bangs as she pulls back and rests her cheek on Van's chest*

Van: -Smiles back and rests his head on top of Kristen’s as he becomes content. Whispers- ..I love you Kristen.

Kristen: *Whispers right back* I love you too Van *Closes her eyes and takes in the peaceful moment*

Van: You know I still have the flower you gave me, the one from Valentines Day.

Kristen: *Blinks in surprise and looks up at Van* You do?

Van: -Blushes and nods- It is still sitting on my desk.

Kristen: *Lifts a hand and cups Van's cheek* That makes me very happy Van

Van: Heh, I had a feeling it would. I just..can't seem to part with it.

Kristen: *Rests her cheek on his chest again and closes her eyes* It always seems to be the simplest things that hold the most impact
