Though Yrael was from a House of high standing, when it came to getting work, he was much like any other Drow. Well not really like every other Drow. Instead of finding work with just any Drow family, his House only allowed him to be hired on by families with the same high standings as his own.
At the moment he stood in a long line of Drow males and females, all of them with oddly colored eyes or hair, much like his own violet hues. Why different colored eyes or skin would be considered rare he didn't know, but with a family that often produced violet eyed children they couldn't but be held highly. With a swift move of the head he turned to look at his competition and sighed.
Many of them were Mages or Warriors, some even being Assassins and Necromancers. He really didn't even know what the job consisted of, but he only knew that his Matron had sent him here to get work. His House was already very, very rich, but it didn't do a Drow good to sit around all day and do nothing.
The only information he had received so far was that a Drow of high rank would be needing protecting almost twenty four seven, and that someone with great patience would be needed. He didn't know if his patience was all that good, but at least he would be able to protect his charge incredibly well.
From a young age he had been trained in the art of body building, as well as swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat, so unlike most Drow males he was rather large and extremely tall, reaching a height of six foot five. He mostly fought with a shield modified to a sharp point at one end that worked for both defence and offence, which suited him quite well, since he liked to have atleast one hand free.
From this far back he couldn't see the Drow he would be protecting (if he got the job), so he crossed his large arms over his armor-clad chest and leaned against the wall to wait his turn.

You make me sick But I love what we're doing here....Yari stayed a distance away from the Drow in line and even hid a bit, peeking out at all of them. He didnt like that he had to pick out one of these strange people who was to be hired to follow him around all day. He didnt like that he was stuck in doors today at all! He sighed quietly to himself and turned, trying to slip away and leave but bumped into the head of the House. He gulped and looked up at the female, lowering his head slightly. Being turned around, he was nudged out into the open to stand out in front of the line of people. He was a very young looking Drow and not all that much tall, in fact he only looked like a child. He was in a black outfit with some small pieces of jewelry on him, but not much. He froze in place and his bright red eyes looked over each of the Drow in line waiting to be hired for the job. He sighed and turned, looking up at the head. "Go on..." The head nudged him a little. Yari then turned back and went to the end of the line, looking up at the first one standing there, looking over their features, what they wore, what they were carrying, anything his eyes could spot. Then moved onto the next person, then the next, then the next. After a few of them, about halfway down the line he sighed, folding his arms behind his back and looking away with a bored look on his face. Giving a soft "Humph" he then started rocking back and forth on his heels. "I dont see why we have to hire any of these clowns. None of them look good to me..." Yari spoke up in a mid-high tone of voice that sounded like a young teen's, being stubborn about this whole thing. Though with his arms folded behind his back, he had something shiny cupped between his hands and out of sight, a little trinket he sneakily slipped off of one of the men. Tucking it away in his back pocket since none of them could see his hands anyway. "I mean, come on, this is pointless!" He continued to complain. Looking at the head and some of the other House members with a slight frown. ... You make me sick But I cant be the only one...

From this far back Yrael could hear a small commotion and leaned forward to get a better look. It looked like the cause of it was a very young-looking Drow with short white hair and inquisitive red eyes. The longer he looked though, he noticed small things about the young Drow and grinned inwardly.
Though he looked very young, Yrael could tell that the he was probably much older then any of the other Drow in line, probably even older them himself though he didn't act like it. He could also tell that whichever class this Drow was in, which was probably thievery seeing that he had noticed him easily stealing from one of the males in line, he was very good at it.
Either this Drow was some spoiled child in a House of high ranking, or someone of great importance in the guise of one very young. "Pointless, eh?" he piped up, his voice very deep and alluring, taking a step forward. "I don't think this is pointless at all child," he continued, going along with charade that this Drow was actually young.
"All these Drow are here for you," he said motioning at all of the other males and females with his hands, "and yet you steal from them," he said with a small wink and a deep chuckle, crossing his arms over his wide chest. Usually he wouldn't talk back to one of high class, but seeing as they were nearly the same he had no problem with it.

You make me sick But I love what we're doing here....Yari turned his attention towards the male that spoke up and stepped forward, staring at him blankly for the longest time with the big eyed child's curiosity face. His bright red eyes wandered along the male's form noticing he was bigger than most males normally are. He walked over slowly to get a better look at him, circled around him once then came back out and just stood there staring at him. "Oh... I almost liked you for a moment there, then you lost me" Yari said with his eyes half closing and turning away. Ignoring the wink the man gave, he hmphs again and his fingers fidget together behind his back. He was irritated now that the man, not only noticed him stealing from one of the men, but blurted it out for everyone to hear. He snuck a glance towards the head mistress and saw the look on her face, but quickly looked away. "Although I dont think I want to pick based on what I see here. Theyre standing like statues, Im bored... so..." he waves his hand, "starting with loud mouth at the end, tell me why I should pick you..." he ordered. ... You make me sick But I cant be the only one...

"Loud mouth," he chuckled under his breath, smiling at the maybe-child's attitude. Stepping forward, he moved away from the long line of Drow men that were all staring at him open-mouthed, and hoisted up his large shield to sling it over his shoulder with ease. He followed the half-child quite silently for someone his size and stopped a few feet away.
Standing so near it was funny to see their height differences. He was used to being taller than everyone else, but this Drow was only five foot four at a maximum, making him look like a dwarf. "Hmm, why you should hire me," he said softly, raising one large hand to rub his sharp chin. As he thought silently, an idea came to mind, and he moved to kneal in front of the child so that they were nearly eye to eye.
"I think you should hire me because I can protect you like no other Drow in this room." Leaning in, he lowered his voice so that only the half-child would be able to hear him. "I saw you pocket whatever that item was when no one else even noticed you make a move. You're most likely a Thief of some sort, and your parents probably want you watched around the clock. You're not a child though you look like one, and I won't stop you from doing what you want. Hire me, you'll see."
Standing back up, he ruffled the small Drow's hair like any adult would do to a child and turned to look at the Matron. He bowed deeply to her before turning around and taking his place back in the line. They were all still stairing at him, but he simply crossed his arms and leaned against the wall to await the half-childs decision.

You make me sick But I love what we're doing here....Yari kept his arms folded behind his back as the tall male stepped forward, tilting his head to the side as the male thought for a while. Though after the first line was spoken, he gave a soft 'pfft' like grunt and looked away, giving a soft pout. But the male got so close... leaning back just a little with the male kneeled in front of him, he gulped a little. Eyes widened hearing that the male already knew who he was just after a few moments being in the same room, while nobody else just saw a kid. He stared at the male in slight shock for the longest time. This guy was very observant... that sounded dangerous. He needed a dummy he could slip away from easily. But then... what the man said at the end made him curious. So looking at the woman he was with, he gave a heavy defeated sigh and pointed at the tall dark purple male. "I'll pick him... there... happy now?" He asked flatly and crossed his arms over his chest, then moved to the back of the room and leaned against the wall. ... You make me sick But I cant be the only one...

Hearing that he was picked, he grinned widely and pushed away from the wall to stand in front of the little Drow. "You won't regret your decision," he said giving a small bow before walking towards the female in charge of the hiring. She wasn't the Matron, for Matrons usually had much more to do, but any female had to be respected no matter her station. He bowed deeply to her before he started to speak.
She had a clipboard in hand, so he started giving her his information which he wrote down quickly. "I am called Yrael, from the noble House of Cessair. I am seventy-two years old, and I have been trained mainly in the arts of the Warrior. My Matron mother is called Cyara, and our head Priestess is an albino female known as A'isha." He paused for a few moments to allow the Drow to catch up with her writing before speaking again.
When she was finished, he turned to glance back at the child before getting the job description. What he had guessed was correct when she told him that this 'child' would need around the clock supervision, and someone to make sure that he held all of his appointments which were many. The child had archery practice, history lessons, mathematics, reading, writing, and animal care - all of which he liked to ditch. "Ah, I assure you that none of his classes are missed, you have my word." At that he turned to wink at the little Drow.

You make me sick But I love what we're doing here....Yari just stood there with arms folded behind his head, his eyes kept away from the purple male and glanced over seeing the others were dismissed. Now that the room was empty of the other drows and the male was occupied with the female, he grumbled to himself. It didnt matter who was hired, the guy wont last long anyway. Seeing the wink the man gave him after he promised the female that Yari wouldnt miss another class anymore, he couldnt help but grin inwardly to himself. Hah... didnt matter, he was never going to those classes and he highly doubted the bigger drow could even make him go.
"Can I go now!?" he complained, but without waiting for the answer, he turned and darted quickly for the door to escape. Maybe if he was quick enough he could ditch the hired drow and get away with the rest of the day. He was itching to see what he could do with the new trinket he stole from one of the others. ... Watching the little Drow dart off, he sighed and turned to look at the female in charge. She looked about finished with his information, and he couldn't think of anything else she mite need, so he bowed to her deeply again before speaking. "Thank you Mistress, and tell your Matron that I shall start immediately." Afterwards, he left the room quickly, and walked down the long hall before leaving the House and stepping outside. It was dim outside as always, but magical lamps were placed every few feet so that everyone could see.
It was the middle of the day, and this specific House was right near the bustling marketplace, so Drow of every shape and size were everywhere. Some were haggling prices in the stalls, and others stood here and there gossiping about this and that, the males making sure not to look into any of the females' eyes. His violet eyes searched the crowd intently for the short crop of white hair, and he spotted his charge disappearing in a large crowd of people. With a sigh, he followed after him promptly, dodging other Drow this way and that. "You can't escape me for long," he muttered aloud.

You make me sick But I love what we're doing here....Once Yari made it into the middle of a large crowd, he kept himself down and weaved between the people of the market. Easily slipping around them or between their legs if he needed to. Making sure to completely disappear within the people. Soon turning a corner, he darted off quickly down the street running as fast as he could. He felt like someone was following him and could only assume that the big drow was trying to keep up with him.
Though he finally skipped over a small wall, ducked down behind it and ran along the side following it till he reached an alley way and slipped in. Finding a ladder left behind so climbed up it onto the roof and hid behind the ledge. Sitting down with his back against the small wall, he pulled the trinket out of his pocket and looked it over. It looked like a silver watch of some sort... he clicked it open and studied it over, tilting his head slightly. Flipping it over within his fingers, turning it every direction as he was now mesmerized by the shiny-ness of it. ... You make me sick But I cant be the only one...

He had been hired on for less then an hour, and already he had lost his charge. His House would be very dissapointed in him if he got fired, it would be a major embarrassment, and probably a record. With a sigh, he searched up and down the stalls, behind crates, in alleyways, all to no avail. Sitting down on a crate, he hung his head, thinking of how he could possibly find the little Drow.
"Need some help?" a quiet voice asked, and he looked up quickly, his jaw dropping. He had to quickly compose himself, then stood up and bowed deeply. It was a female Drow known as A'isha, the head Priestess to the house of Cessair. She was a shy and tiny little thing, but he knew that she could break you with the force of her magic if she wished it.
"Yes m'Lady, I do," he said still looking down at his feet, careful not to meet the violet eyes that were a shade darker then his own. They weren't related my blood, but being in the same House was almost like being family, and with her being a female, he had to give her a large amount of respect. To his chagrin, she giggled and he finally looked up to see her with her hand over her mouth, hiding a rather large smile.
"Don't worry Yrael, I won't tell," she giggled, also trying to compose herself to be serious. "Anyways, your charge is down the alley and to the left, on top of the roof. I can taste him from here, and he has a very mischevious flavor. You better be careful with him though," she warned before stepping forward on her tippytoes to pat him on the shoulder consolingly. With a smile she left, her tiny body moving gracefully through the crowd and soon dissapearing into his House courtyard.
"Thank you," he stammered, bowing deeply once again before watching her leave. Following her instructions, he ducked down the alley, then went to the left to find a ladder propped up against the wall. It looked frail, so he tested it with one foot before carefully climbing it and vaulting himself over the wall. "Ah, there you are!" he yelled after the little Drow who was sitting against the wall, examining his treasure. Before he could dart off, he lunged at him, grabbing his arm tightly so that he wouldn't be able to get away. "You're testing my patience little one," he growled, leading him over to where the ladder was.

You make me sick But I love what we're doing here....Yari gasped and jumped up, trying to get away soon as he saw the large purple male come up to the roof. But he shrieked and thrashed about as he was grabbed by his arm. How did he find him up here!? He turns and grabs on the male's wrist trying to pry it off of him but to no avail. Struggling against his grasp still.
"Let me go!!" he half shouted as he kept trying. Now starting to kick at the older male's leg but to a bigger man like him, his hits probably would just tickle him or something. The trinket he had in hand had fallen out of his grasp and hit the ground with a soft 'tink' and he gasped. Trying to reach for it but Yrael's grasp limited his movement. "augh...! LET GO!" He started kicking and hitting at him again.
"How the hell did you find me!?" he asked suddenly as he glared up at him. ... You make me sick But I cant be the only one...

Seeing the little silver item drop, he bent down quickly to snatch it up and stuck it in his pant pocket to return to its owner later. Though the little Drow thrashed and kicked, it was no use, his grip was too tight and he was much, much stronger. "Luckily I ran into the Priestess of my House, and she is somewhat of an Empath. She could feel you up here, so she told me where to go," he shrugged. Getting to the edge of the roof, he looked down, thinking of how to go about getting Yari down.
He doubted the little Drow would listen to him, and he would probably just dart off again if he let him go. With a small sigh, he swung him up into his large arms, holding him close against his chest securely. Stepping to the edge of the roof, he jumped down, landing lithely on his feet with very little impact. He set him down, still holding him tightly by the arm and led him out of the alleyway. "Now," he said standing in the entrace to the alley, turning to look down at him in the eye, "I have a few rules."
"First of all, you will not be running off, because it's a simple matter to find you. Second, you will cooperate with me when I take you to each of your lessons. Third, you will watch who you steal from, because I won't always be there to bail you out of trouble. I know you're good at what you do, but still." Turning around, he led him out of the alleyway and back into the bustling marketplace. Taking him to one of the stalls, he bought them each a plate of food then found them a place to sit and enjoy their meal.

You make me sick But I love what we're doing here...."Gahh!" Yari grunts as he was picked up and held tightly in the male's arms, squirming around but gasped as they jumped off the roof. He went tense for a moment till the man landed below and he was put down again. "ah-ow!" He shouted as his arm was grabbed tightly again, trying to pull away yet again. He stopped and stared up at the male with a glare and a frown as the rules were set in. Then he was dragged once again as they went through the market. He tried to keep himself from being moved but his feet just slid along the ground like his attempts were nothing.
As they sat with his plate in front of him, he just sat there with arms crossed over his chest, leaned back and pouting as he refused to touch his food. He just stared down with a glare, not even making a single move to eat or even listen to what the man was saying. Trying to think of another way to get away from him. And he was furious that the male took his trinket away from him, glancing over to his pocket briefly but his eyes returned to the same spot on the table he had been glaring at.
"Hmph..." he finally grunted, "Like Id ever listen to you" He said flatly in a mumble to the male without making a single movement. Just warning the male he wasnt going to listen to him. Continuing to pout like a child. ... You make me sick But I cant be the only one...

He sighed at seeing how the boy was acting like some stubborn child. Why he acted this way was a mistery, he was probably older than himself. "Look," he said, leaning forward to look him directly in the eyes. "As long as you get what you need done first, I really don't care what you do. You can steal all you want, play with your friends, whatever. Like I said though, you just have to watch who you steal from. No one in a House of high ranking like our own, and never, never from any female alright?"
He sat back and turned towards his food, eating for a few moments and thinking things over. What could he do to turn this situation around? Obviously this Drow enjoyed acting like a petulant child, so maybe he could use the trick his own mother had used on him when he was young. "If you don't want it, I'll eat it then," he said taking away the boy's plate and sliding it next to his own. "When I finish eating all of this, I'm going to give you a little quest to see just how capable you are with thievery." So he leaned in, acting like he was going to eat the boy's food.
