I would say it would be a close fight, but in the end Scar would be victorious.
It isn't because of the arm, it is the....morals (I think thats the word i'm looking for). Ed has never killed someone before whereas Scar obviously has. Ed would hesitate to kill even if he has the desire to, he doesn't have the heart to.

Yeah,But anyways I think it would be a very good fight between Scar and Ed.Because Scar has his raw strengh (Have you seen the mucles on him?!) and his Arm O' Doom.And Ed had his Alchemy and also good combat skills
But I kinda think Scar would win

I would have to say scar. he's fater than Ed and he has already beaten him anyway. Plus that whole thing, that Scar has killed and Ed refuses to.

Ed just wouldn't win, even if he DESIRES it. He desired Tucker dead, but he wouldn't have the heart to.

awww poor ed getting defeated...if it was just strength I think it would be even closer...
but alchemy wise its close too, I'm kinda becoming a fangurl of scars so I would have to say scar... xp

I'd have to say Ed cause he's good person. He's smart when the going gets though. Plus He's the main charcter of the series so that grants him a bonus. Plus Ed has more power then scar cause he can do the same move as scar but he also has an even wider range of Alchemy powers.

The main character can die. Scar has a lot of power, even if he stops at deassemblying (or whatever it was called) he is very powerful. Why do you think Ed lost to him that one time, and had to get a new arm? Al almost died too. Ed might have a wide range, but do you think Scar will sit back and let Ed transmute large objects? No, he would stop him before Ed gets the chance to finish. Scar is a lot older than Ed, and is more experience. Ed would not have the guts to kill Scar. But Scar can kill Ed if given the chance.
