Welcome everybody to the meeting today. I hope you all had a great fast sunday. Today we shall be discussing missionary work. You probably have had alot on this recently, and that is because it is very important.
but I will start by saying hello.

that is awsome. Ok, first we will talk about the importance of missionary work and knowing enough about it. what are your thoughts on this subject?

We've been asked to spread the Gospel to the entire world, have we not? By opening our mouths and teaching our friends, neighbors, and fellow brothers and sisters, we're spreading the Gospel, helping them in their salvation, and making Heavenly Father happy by serving His children.

correct. and i feel it an importance to prepare yourself spiritually as if you are going on a mission, even if you do not end up going on a mission it is important to have all the knowledge you need so that you can pass it on to the children as well as friends and be prepared for the second coming.

ok. define what missionary work means to you.
to me it means to be rolemodel to the people around me and answering the questions that people ask me. to be able to stand tall even if people are against me.

I think that missionary work is setting an example too. It's showing people what the Latter-Day Saints are all about through example, word and deed... you get it. People think we're strange and different because we don't conform to the standards of the world, we stand up for what we believe in, and we don't often back down.
It means also that we are teachers. Instead of just letting things pass that we don't believe in or support, we stand up for ourselves and beliefs, and explain why. We tell others about our beliefs and try to make them able to see things the way we do. Sure, it's not easy, but it's the right thing to do.

I would agree with both of you. We talked about how you should let your light shine.
You set such a good example with others, there's just a presence you give when you're around them. People feel it when they are with you.
I kind of notice this with some people, you kind of just can tell with them because they let their light shine. Some people, when I'm at work, I just can tell that they are Mormon only because... I don't know, they just have that vibe around them.

yeah. now every mormon is a missionary amongst their friends. and here are things to help you set goals to become a better missionary.
now what do you feel are ways to be able to help yourself grow spiritually?
what do you feel are goals you need to become a missionary.

Definitely, saying your prayers every morning and night will help you grow spiritually. Also, as you read the scriptures and study them, the Holy Ghost will testify to you the truthfulness of the words, and so you'll be growing as you gain a testimony.

yeah. now we should make goals to get to the missionary we want to be, which would be the long term goal. a midterm goal would be to maybe prepare self spiritually to be the missionary. and then short term goals would be to read the scriptures, say prayers, attend church, and study the scriptures dilligently.
you need to set a longterm goal, and then midterm goals, and then shorterm goals to get to the long term goal. (this goes for anything, not just missionary work)
you can make your goals anyway you like, this is just a basic setup to help yourself.
now why is it important to make goals that support each other?
