Enjou_Garyuu Is RTD leaving doctor who? Cause I heard a rumor and, srsly? Only like, what five bloody episodes this season? Yep! He's stepping down and Stephen Moffat is taking his place. And there's gonna be 4 "christmas special"-length episodes. One of 'em already happened. ^^

So RTD is doing the 4 specials then?
I'm quite OK with the change, the episodes Moffat has done have been really good. But there's less episodes this season tho, only specials D: means less Tennant.

Freaj So RTD is doing the 4 specials then? I'm quite OK with the change, the episodes Moffat has done have been really good. But there's less episodes this season tho, only specials D: means less Tennant. RTD is involved with at least 3 of the specials including the regen scene. (This makes me slightly worried) And I think DT's back should be ok for filming, they said they didn't have to alter the script or anything for him.

Yep, 4 specials, RTD is planning on going out with a bang, which should be interesting to say the least, while i'm not over the moon about the impending regeneration, the next few episodes should be good, apparently they've even got John Simm signed up for one! Now that would be GREAT!!!

In order to top the end of series 4, the regen scene will have to be caused by the entire multiverse blowing up, and the energy from his regen miraculously saves all of creation instantly. rolleyes
