*Lingering outside of the shop with a cellphone pressed to his ear, his cigarette smoldering in the light drizzle of afternoon rain* It's just something I've got to do... well, he doesn't have a clue what I look like, the ******** never even written me... I'll change my hair then. Christ, Harry, dunno why you're so-- yeah, I know.
I'll give you a call when I'm done, yeah?
*Snaps the phone shut and sighs, flicking his cigarette in a puddle as he walks towards the door, his vibrant hair growing dark until it's black*

*Balances without effort on the very edge of his stepladder, rearranging an overstuffed shelf to fit a few more books in the household pets section*
Peter, behind you. *Speaks in a low, lofty voice, referencing a teetering stack of books just behind Peter’s comfortable chair* Steady that stack, would you?

*looks up when Remus speaks* Huh? Oh! Sure. *closes the book and gets out of his chair, it scooting back as he gets up, which knocks over the stack of books*
. . . Oh, no. *frowns apologetically, scrunching his eyebrows together as he scolds himself mentally* I'll get it. *scurries around the chair, dodging other stacks of books, and starts piling the books into his arms, picking them up from the floor*

*Attempts to hide the amused curve of his mouth by turning his head, abandoning his rearranging to dismount the stepladder and trot over to Peter and help gather up the spilled stack* It really isn’t a problem, Peter - relax. *Returns half a dozen books to the stack before catching hold of the fabric of Peter’s shirt, tugging him back into his chair*

*adds the books he had in his arms to the stack before Remus pulls him over to the chair, which he plops down in*
Well . . . okay, Remus. If you say so. *smiles sheepishly at him, picking up the book he had from earlier and opening it slowly, glancing down at it and then glancing back at him again*
