I must say, this subforum is a Godsend! But really, this topic has to do with why most our problems exist. You have to really look deep inside yourself and come face-to-face with your ugly side that you hate to show. So...why causes hatred to exist? The 7 Deadly Sins? Unhappiness? Jealously? Come everyone, state your opinion and experiences that you may think may cause such a feeling.

Well, "hate" in my terms is something that's caused by a bunch of other events. Hate is usually caused by sadness, annoyance, and greed. I believe more that smaller things being bottled up will eventually cause the eruption.

Indeed. But to actually proclaim your hatred to the world...would you think it would be a release from the shackles of pain with consequences, or will the hatred you proclaim grow to unbelievable heights? Are there special events that affect you hatred to make you say such things or want to feel about what you hate?

Well, a lot of it is history in my opinion. For examply, I have an indistinguishable amount of hatred for the Japanese and all of their conventions and I openly profess it. For centuries the Chinese and Japanese have been at ends with each other, a bit of bitter rivalry if you will, especially after World War II (the Rape of Nanking was especially a biting moment). A bit of that attitude has spread here to the States where some very traditional Chinese families openly show disgust at anything the Japs do.
For me, I'm a bit more practical. I will acknowledge that the Japanese make superior cars and electronics that are far more effective than international counterparts, but at the same time, I debunk these achievements as none of them are truly original Japanese inventions. Cars, radios, TVs, and the like are all Western inventions.
Ahem, to make a long story short, I don't like the Japs because I know my people's history with them. Because of the spread of Japanese conventions to the point where it is overly annoying, I find myself openly hating them fueled in part by the history between the two Oriental cultures.

In general, I see the sophomores of this high school year and below as the feces of all humanity. Sorry to be cruel and blunt, but their behavior is the cream of what idiocy is. No offense to those who are the sensible citizens of their grade, but really...the latter of you are immature and need a good disciplinary beat down. It would seem that it's the only way to make these generations understand that what they think is all good and dandy is really...destructive to this world and of others.
So I openly express my hatred for them...but I won't stop hating them. Not until they clean up their act. Then we'll see about the respect they need to earn.

Well, the thing is with hatred is that it's a a very mighty double-bladed sword. If you can't control it, it will only hurt you, but when you know who to swing at and how, it can be the great equalizer. I find myself to be the holder of this sword and when some know-it-all punk thinks he's all that, I'm more than happy to use my hatred for him and all like him to knock him back down a notch.

It would seem that violence is one way to beat sense into an individual. Yet is it effective? Probably. Anyways...what other hatred from history seems to grow with time? How about the fight over Israel/Holy Land? How is their deep hatred affecting us today?

Skipping the whole religion thing, I say it's the common "I was here first" problem. To the point, land is better not to be fought about and not to be sold. Everything else on it can be. So there, hate in the "holy land" is basicly nothing worth getting if it will be destroyed in the process.

Unfortunately, because of its historical significance, it wouldn't matter how many times it got hit by war. Its a "promise from God", so there's a lot at stake here. But if you think about it correctly in religious terms, all of Earth is God's land, so why are we fighting over that small peace of land anyways?

Because Moses crossed the red sea into Isreal. :b And yes, you do bring up a good point about the earth being all of God's land. But people will eventually realize that they are fighting over land that probably won't be sucessful for another few years if this keeps up.

I'd have to disagree with you there, Ved. As long as the land is usable, they won't give it up. And because land can be replenished or revived gradually with time, it doesn't look like they'll leave it soon ...unless nuclear weapons destroy, but no one seems crazy enough to do that. Thank goodness, though, because if Jerusalem is attacked with all three religions inhabiting the area, the attacker would be doomed to face the wrath of the world.

Hatred, hmm. Well, to me, Hatred is often something that is subjective, and unfortunately, not many people know the true meaning of hate (In Canada anyway). For example, I hear people say all the time, "I hate you," or, "I hate (insert something here, and no, it can not be your p***s.)" Whether or not this is used as a form of aggrivation or expression, I don't know, but it should not be used for superficial things like that. I hate my sister, with every fiber of my soul. She's stolen from me, beaten me for four years, taken people out of my life and makes me miserable often. I do not love her, she can die, and that would make me so much happier. Now, you all think, "No, you have to love her..." No, I don't. I'm not going to love my sister after she accused Yeye of molesting her because she didn't get a slushy, or after she called Child Services and told them my mother punched her, and especially after she made us lose over $850,000 because she didn't get a slushy, again. I hate her, but I do not show my expression when she is around, lest I kill her, and be sent to juvinile hall, or prison. True hate is what I have for my sister, there is no love involved, and I want her to move out.
Now, there are different kinds of hate, there's Cultural Hate, which is what Chang would fall under, and there is Political Hate, Religious Hate (Please avoid this) and there is superficial hate, lastly, there is just hate this is where it doesn't fall into a catagory, and you just hate someone/something.

Well, don't just put me down for Cultural Hate, it's not just that. I also hate lazy people that expect miracles to be performed for them.
Laziness happens to everyone, but at least learn to admit you're being lazy and what you get is what you deserve. I'm sick and tired of seeing people dragged up because people call for equality or fairness. No. I hate with an ever-lasting passion, not as much as Brandon's hate for his sister of course but just a marginal detraction from it, seeing hard-working, back-breaking, law-abiding people cry tears of bloods and work their hands to the bone trying to make a living while other people just sit around, smoke pot, drink beer, and beat little Johnny 4-Year-Old senseless until the next Welfare check where the cycle repeats.
In this way, I'm a firm Republican. I dislike the Welfare system because of the amount of people that take advantage of it. Yes, people that do work hard can benefit from it, but if money from the Welfare system is poured into rebuilding schools, neighborhoods, and empowering police precincts, these hard-working, law-abiding citizens will get along just as well as they did with it, and instead of using other people's tax dollars, they can finally afford to pay their own, not to mention their rent, their family's groceries, and their car payment.
As for the people that just sit on a lawn chair and wait for the mail truck to pull up with their Welfare check so they can blow it on booze and dog races, well... Let's just say that even starving to death because they're too lazy to go out to Home Depot, stand there, and get a job is too good a fate for them. I will say this bluntly and I will say this coldly: Anyone that is detrimental to the maintenance and progression of society, meaning that they are unemployed and want to stay that way for the free cash, then all they deserve is a swift, painless extermination.

For me, posers irritate me. Especially when they claim that they're not posers, when they stinkin' are, but they are too naive and dumb to see it. The way they act and speak to imitate a specific group is sad, and they, in my honest opinion, should close themselves off from the world until they can learn how to be a true, unique individual. You can copy fashion, you can copy styles, but there's no way in heck that you can copy a personality you really are.

Oh doy, sorry Chang, I didn't mean to catagorize you like that. I forgot that there's also my favorite kind of hate:
AGGRIVATION-TYPE
Basically, if you've ever seen the movie: Shoot-Em-Up, that's me. Except without the guns and carrots. I hate people that can't drive, can't talk properly (unless they have a legitimate reason), can't chew gum properly, the list is endless. Lazy people especially bug me, and the "Daddy this, Daddy that" girls annoy the hell out of me.
In short, there is so much hate in this world, I'm surprised we're all still walking.
