Spun and air blade. If you had, do you like it!!!!!!!!!!!
I love rifle as it is but an air blade is absolutly addicting. It looks like a rifle except it's generally plastic and has holes in it for more durability; plus it's a little heavier; but I'm literally addicted to spinning an air blade

I haven't had the chance to spin one yet because well my coach thinks they're pointless to buy. xp In my Circuit (actually i believe its all circuits affiliated with WGI?) they're counted as a prop not as a weapon so we don't see the point in wasting our money and time learning to do soemthing that wont help our equipment score.

A friend and fellow guard memeber just discovered what an air blade was the other day and ordered one last night. So, hopefully I'll have a chance to spin one.
I looked up a video on youtube and it looks pretty cool. We'll see how well I'll do since I just managed to toss more than one quad in a row today >.> which would be why I'm a flag....

NuclearPlague I haven't had the chance to spin one yet because well my coach thinks they're pointless to buy. xp In my Circuit (actually i believe its all circuits affiliated with WGI?) they're counted as a prop not as a weapon so we don't see the point in wasting our money and time learning to do something that wont help our equipment score. That's how it is in my Circuit. We were going to use them this Winter Guard season, but our coach decided that 30 seconds worth of prop usage would just distract the audience instead of drawing them into the show. Is it different for Marching Band, though?? I saw some Guards use them this past Marching Band season, and thought they were really cool!!

Our marchn band is just now startn 2 use rifles again this year. We will probly use airblades 4 a feature. Iv tried both & i think the air blade is easier.
& the video on youtube is awesum. There is also a really cool flag trick u can find if u search 7 sec flag trick.

I spun one once because our band director was debating having us use them in our fall show. In my honest opinion, they look like windshield wipers and are irritatingly heavy.
Unfortunately, the college guard I'm auditioning for in June used airblades during their fall show last year sad

Oh yeah, another point of complaint I have with the airblade: You can't do strapwork.

spun an airblade just to see. i hated every second. there's no weight, no good center of balance. plus since it's counted as a prop i'll have nothing really to do with it again.

I had no idea what you guys were talking about, so I looked air blades up on youtube. I've seen guards use them before, but my own has never done so, no do I think they will. Doesn't really matter to me anymore because I've graduated, but I don't think I'd ever want to spin one. Rifles rock. And I certainly agree that strap work is awesome, and you definitely can't do that with an air blade.

We had a few of them in our winter show. The main reason was that they fit in very well with our theme.
Personally though I prefer saber to either rifle or airblades.
