She'd done the rounds to make sure certain 'traps' were still in place, and her brother was off hunting (which, of course, SHE couldn't join in on)...and now...Well, Irit was bored. Everyone was off doing something that didn't involve her, So was nowhere to be found, and other than her as-of-yet unsprung traps...she just had no reason to make more. She hadn't found anyone new that she really wanted to prank today. No egos to burst, no fur to muss...
The pale juvenile flopped back in the tall grasses. "ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Bara's black ears perked at the sound, startled out of his dozing state by the juve's frustration. He hadn't known that anyone else was about, when he'd picked his little spot of shade, and had been just about off to sleep. but nope. None of that for him. With a whuffling sound, he picked himself off the ground and went trotting towards where he'd heard it. If someone needed help, well...he was obliged to do something about it, eh?

For a moment, Irit just stared at the blue sky with her red eyes. Maybe she should have gnawed on Tama's tail before he'd left...for good luck. Ah well...
A rustle in the grasses caught her attention. Blinking, she rolled over onto her belly and stood, curious. Company? Maybe...maybe someone she hadn't met yet! That prospect brightened her up and slapped a sly grin onto her face. Crouching, Irit stalked forward, intent on meeting the source of the rustling.

All right, well he didn't see anyone. Blinking about, he stopped, paused, turned, glanced about. Still no one. "Hello...?" A careful query, as he didn't want to disturb or interrupt, but whomever it was had sounded...vexed at least. Ears flattening against his head, he hoped he didn't seem too much like an idiot, if he was calling to empty space.

Irit was crouched in the grass, not far from where the silver adolescent was. In fact, her grin had only gotten bigger. The sound had been someone new. And someone new meant a WHOLE NEW set of reactions! Taking a few careful steps forward...she bunched her muscles and pounced, going more for startle than hit (though she kept her claws sheathed for good measure). "HIYA!"

He made a rather disgraceful eeping sound when a bundle of female fur came flying at him, and he backpedaled, only to end up sitting hard on his rump as compensation for his trouble. "Ooof." He grunted, shaking his head and blinking wide eyes at his attacker. Uhm...well, at least she was smaller than he was. But female. Ohdear. "Uh...h-hi?"

Irit landed in front of the male with a rather undignified 'thump'. She looked rather funny, actually, since she'd landed on her belly with her front legs stretched comically in front of her. Recovering quick enough, she sat up and grinned at the boy. "Hello there! Never seen you before. You new here? Or just haven't been social?"

All right, well that didn't look so very frightening or intimidating, not quite what he'd been initially expecting, and very friendly. "Uhm...well, I'm new enough, I suppose. I'm Baraka'na'Dua...who are you?" Carefully getting his hindquarters into a proper sitting position, he had to wonder...had he ever been this enthusiastic?

Perfect~ Poor boy didn't suspect a thing. Irit just chuckled. "I'm Irit! It's nice to meet you Baraka'na'Dua!" Ah...how she loved her short, sweet name. No sense in naming kids with LONG things. Like Tama's full name. Irit had stopped trying to say it after the tenth try MONTHS ago. "Do ya need someone to show you 'round? I know ALL the best spots 'round here."

"Uhm, well...you can call me Bara." He murmured, a bit sheepish at being called by his full name. Tail flicking about his feet nervously, he mustered up a smile. "Well...I'm somewhat new, not too new, I just don't live around here, per say..." He replied carefully, goodness but she seemed far too enthusiastic.

"Ah~ Yeah. Bara's a lot less of a mouthful." She calmed down a little, now that the initial excitement was out of her system. "Well...if you don't live 'round here...you probably don't know about the Croc Rock, huh?" Put out a little bait...she didn't want to rush things at this point. Too much chance in loosing the quarry.

Croc...Rock? Oh that sounded a mite dubious. "Uhm...no, I don't know. What is it?" Very carefully, as he didn't want to seem rude, but at the same time, just what was he getting himself into? She seemed quite helpful for a youngling, but...he'd been helpful at her age...

Irit laughed brightly. "Just what it says. A rock shaped a lot like a crocadile! It's pretty big though, so it gets used for sunning a lot...and there's this space in the 'tail' where you can hide all sorts of nifty things." She knew that part ALL too well.

He nodded sagely, acting as though he knew exactly what she was up to. "All right, I suppose we can go see it. Show me?" She was smaller and younger than he, true, but that didn't mean she couldn't be a friend. Bara had never been too good at the friend thing, especially with girls. Girls were weird. Very weird.

Irit looked rather happy as she started off towards the rock. Oh...poor boy did not know what was in store for him. Irit kept a grin back, her triumphant thoughts staying inside...She just found a new lion to bug the heck out of. The thought of what sort of reactions he would provide was mind-boggling to Irit...

He padded after her, careful not to trip over anything, as he was quite good at doing that, paws and legs still a mite ungainly, massive even for his size. Watching her, he wondered just how a young thing like her got all of that confidence, he certainly lacked it...he really had no idea what he was up against.
