i like the 2001 model...what are your thoughts on it?? If you don't like it, what do you think wrong with it or what needs to be worked on?

The JAI-DEE-EM fanboys ruined the Skyline for me. It's overweight, looks like a '99-'04 Mustang, and is way overrated. The NSX is the only Japanese car I lust for (it is just too God damn beautiful in person), but stupid Honda didn't make a V8 for it. It would have ruled so much if it wasn't so underpowered. Ferrari did it with the 360 Modena, Honda/Acura should have done it with their "exotic."

Should keep your eyes open then m8, because Honda pulled its prototypes from the 'Ring, after its CEO demanded that "it should be faster than the GTR." twisted

I like the skyline, I wouldn't mind having one. Although the image of them has been ruined over the years, but that doesn't stop it from being a good performer. I wish to have one is much more deeper rather than just because I saw it in a movie. There are many other cars out their that I dream to have, I'd love to have the older MR2 that had the turbo and even a NSX like Millefune said. But back to the reasons I like the Skyline is because it's engine is brutal and I would like to put one in a 240sx but that would be dangerous.
Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the new NSX gonna have a V10? And if so, I think if they decide to keep the engine in the front, that will just ruin the whole idea of a NSX. They should keep in in the back for more than one reason.

Joey Crash Bloody hell, Honda's next on the financial crisis hit-list then eh? You would think so, I don't know why that would cancel a car that would have such a huge impact.

My opinion of the earlier Skyline GT-Rs is one based entirely on what I can see, because I've never had the pleasure of driving one. We actually had an R33 in our shop a while back, but at the time I wasn't old enough to drive. Anyways, back then the car, to me, was an icon. "This thing beats Lamborghinis and Ferraris and Porsches and Corvettes, it's the best car to have ever been built for us by God." I told myself. Of course, I was naive. Now, having a bit more experience, I look at them with less enthusiasm.
Firstly, they've never been about styling. All of them, including the nicer R34, look like they were designed with an etch-a-sketch. For that, I don't like them. Secondly, they're friggin' huge. The Skyline GT-Rs are massive cars in comparison to their competitors. On paper, that'd be a disadvantage.
Although like I said, I've never had the privelage of driving one... So, I wouldn't really know. They say that it's an entirely different experience with those cars. Even still, I'd rather drive a proper and nimble small coupe.

I had the "pleasure" of driving an imported "R33" Skyline. I liked how the NSX drove better.

eh. I'd go with the early 90s GTS-T Type M model, still a boat, but rear wheel drive. and 2.5liters of turbocharged goodness.

R33/Nismo 400R ONLY.
But, that's if they weren't such a damn hassle to import, register, and didn't cost an arm, a leg, and my left nut sack.

I love the R34 the best out of all the Skylines. With bigger turbos and everything else that comes with that, that car could haul balls. I would love to own one any day, hands down.
I like the NSX, but my loyalty is with Nissan, because I personally drive one.
I don't like what they did to that poor R35 GT-R with replacing the inline 6 cylinder engine with the the V6 and paddle shifting crying From what I hear, the GT-R isn't that great of a car...
