O U R A D V E N T U R E
Slythor was wearing his new clothing with style as he walked into the museum. He had saved up three weeks allowance to be able to get in here and see all their exhibits... the national museum of natural history. He was going to see animals of all sorts and sizes, and there was a new exhibit about living butterflies. He was so excited. He bought his student ticket and gave a small ticket to his bird and hung it around Blue's neck to show the bird had a pass as well.
He finally walked into the museum, ignoring the weird stares he got. Why worry about the fools watching him when he has so much mroe things to do? He walked in eagerly, wondering what exhibit he should see first.

Niki tried to get her kids out of the house as often as was possible. However, they had not been exactly thrilled about the idea of a museum. When told that her dragon would not be allowed to come along, Ala refused to go. So Niki had only her two youngest girls.
Allete had tried to get out of going, but had been forced to go by her mother. Evelyn seemed to be the only kid excited about the idea and was eagerly looking around and pointing out things. She saw a sign about the butterfly exhibit and wanted to go, hoping there would be some pretty flowers there too.
The spawn let her mother and sister roam ahead as she glanced about at some of the exhibits. What was with all this old crap?

Blue was the first of the two to spot Allete. He pecked his friend on the horn to get his attention. He then flew off and landed on Allete's shoulder gently and nibbled her ear.
Slythor was about to explore the north american animals exhibit before Blue flew off. He sighed a bit and followed him to meet a girl. "Hey. " He spoke quietly. "I see Blue likes you." He spoke, petting his bird and convincing him to get back on his shoulder with a sunflower seed.
"What's your name?"

Allete gave a bit of a start as a bird suddenly landed on her shoulder and started biting at her ear. "Hey!" She started to shoo the thing away, but noticed some guy coming over. "Blue?" She eyed the bird again. Real original name there...
"Allete... what's yours?" This was much better than looking at old stuff!

Blue twittered happily and flew onto Slythor's hair to play with the green strands, twittering constantly and mumbling a few words out every once in a while. "Twee, Twee, Tangles Tangled!"
Slythor laughed and watched his bird, then looked at Allete. "Slythor. Yeah, my bird's name is Blue. He picked it himself." He spoke. "I was just about to head to the North American animals place. Wanna come? I heard they have a huge stuffed grizzly bear there."

Allete glanced at the bird for a few moments. Crazy little thing, it seemed... She almost missed what Slythor said. "Huh? Oh, yeah, sure." What a grizzly bear was, she wasn't exactly sure. She'd never seen on in a video game before. But it sounded cool!

Blue continued to twitter, disliking how he was being ignored by his new teen-ish companion. However with another sunflower seed he was silent again, nibbling contentedly. After the seed he continued to stay quiet as the threesome entered the North American animals exhibition, with stuffed animals of all sorts in all sorts of poses were placed.
Slythor approached a large grizzly bear on its two hind legs, roearing fiercely behind the glass. He pointed it out to Allete. "See? It's a huge grizzly bear. It's really cool." He grinned and tapped the glass. The bear looked so alive. He was surprised it didn't start leaping at him with how fiercely it looked. He whipped out a camera his father lent to him to take a picture.

Allete couldn't help but giggle as the bird creature got a treat to keep it quiet. "He makes noise often?" She asked as the group headed towards the animals exhibit. "Oooh." Allete glanced around, sure that some of those were about to pounce her where she stood.
"Grizzly bear? Looks tough. And mean." She glanced at some of the other animals, big and small. She was about to ask what one of them was when she spotted a small piece of paper near the exhibit. An otter. Neat. And the beaver had a funny tail.

Blue twittered softly once more, playing with Slythors hair to keep himself busy. Watching stuffed animals was not entertaining for him as it was to many other people. He found no use of it. Why watch dead ones when one can fly to see the real ones? Sure, it would take a trip but that was not a problem for him.
Slythor grinned and pointed to some stuffed groundhogs popping in holes. They almost looked completely alive. It was surprising that they weren't moving around now.

The girl was amazed. These things looked like they were just going to start moving. Who knew the museum could be so cool? From what her mother had said, she was expecting it to be dull. No video games? Sheesh. But her mother hadn't mentioned cute animals! And big ones that looked like they were going to eat you! This. Was. AWESOME!

Blue twittered again, tugging on the boy's ear to express that he was now bored and it was time to go to a more exciting place. Blue was always the impatient one, but one to calm the boy down from pride. Perhaps his opposite. The bird started to preen himself. Feathers needed to be adjusted and broken ones removed. It was a tough job, preening, especially with only a beak to help you.
Slythor heeded his friend's message. "Do you wanna go somewhere else? I heard there's cooler stuff in other places." He grinned contentedly. After all, what was more cool than going to new places and finding cool stuff? He heard they have an awesome dinosaur exhibit!

Cooler stuff? Allete glanced around for a moment before shrugging. "Sure." What would be really cool would be an exhibit with a nice comfy bed... or one with a playstation hooked up. But somehow the girl didn't figure any of that would be here. Plus, all the signs that said 'Don't touch' would mean they wouldn't let her take a nap... or play a game.
This place was kinda dull, even if it did have some cool stuff.

Slythor led Allete to the exhibit where the dinosaurs were. The dinosaurs reareed up all around them, biting each other, some roaring at the crowd passing by and others standing proud. espite them all being bones, he felt fascinated bu them. Even Blue went to take a closer look.
The bird flew around the skeleton of a T-rex, even fling in between the ribs, careful not to hurt the skeleton in any way. When blue felt back onto Slythor's shoulder, he got cold stares even when he showed the authorities that he had paid for the bird's ticket too.

Allete stared in awe at the next exhibit. Those bones were HUGE. She didn't seem to notice what the bird had done, but was looking up at a large pterodactyl skeleton that was hanging in the air. It had had wings... but not as many as she had!
Sketches of what artists thought the dinosaurs had looked like were set up in various places about the exhibit and these seemed to draw her attention more than the bones.

Slythor sighed softly, now he was being followed by security guards in case he slipped up. He hated that. He sighed and shrugged. What else was there to do? He sighed and looked at Allete enjoying her time here. He should too. He smiled and took a few pictures with his dad's camera eagerly, enjoying the place despite the guards.
