This is Ru speaking, welcome to my place of keeping. This is set up for my gargoyle and any future ones I may uptain. The set up for each Gargoyle will be the same; the gargoyle with basic information, the back story and current rp plots, a place for pictures and things then an empty one to be filled with rp links and a family tree if it comes to that.

Do not post, even if your gargoyle would wish to leave something for mine, please PM me and I will add it in.

Back story

(some editing required, finished when this is gone)

The small sea side shire of Roxburghshire had a small rock outpost. There was a large rock wall sheltering a small cluster of houses and on its cornerstones stood four gargoyles, two were of a male shape in the back with the two females facing where an enemy would charge up the hill to invade. Centuries had passed since they were put there and long since the humans who took shelter there had left; bad fishing seasons took a toll on their spirit. The spirits that could not be broken by the unforgiving waters were the protectors.

All were friends, but two began to grow closer even in the teen years, the more impulsive Corrin intended to become the fair Rachael’s mate. He was convinced they were meant to be, and both were indeed very much in love.

Arabella was upset, her eyes also fell on the charming Corrin too, but her friendship and loyalty for the both of them was too strong to be broken by lust. The old timer of the group, Chief was not happy about the prospect of mating within the clan due to its extremely small population and distanced himself. As a result, the more understanding Arabella’s eagerness to embrace how her friends felt only served to warm her even closer to the young couple.

Bad tidings continued to pound the dwindled clan, the ominous sign of the end came one night it thundered like the earth was shattering. Two days later, a hoard of young Welch lords flooded forward raiding and the first place they came was to the lonely little outcropping. Raiding within, the gargoyles were going to remain still and allow them to take what they wanted since they had lost the way of protector. What was there to protect but themselves and just out of stone-sleep, moving was seen as the intelligent idea.

The gargoyles didn’t appear worth anything to the raiders, but they were drunk and destructive. With a heavy bar, they managed to knock Chief off his post. The stubborn old man never changed from stone and allowed himself to fall into the ocean as rock, his magic and stubbornness became the end of him. Knowing the trouble they were in, the normally passive Corrin leapt into action, reaching the sky and calling the women to move, they had to escape for their lives.

Going for Rachael, he tried to pull her away from the outcropping, wanting her safe. Arabella answered the call to flight on her own, fearing the sun’s early fingers painted the sky like a warning. Calling out, she turned in time to see Rachael dive back into the outcropping, going for the trinket she coveted.

Corrin refused to leave until she came up from the building; she did with her the precious trinket in her arms. Turning to the east, the three darted away; unaware Rachael was falling behind because of wounds she received in her fight for the trinket. They found somewhere to be, Arabella flew in first hiding in the abandoned farmhouse top floor. Corrin landed after her and turned just in time to see the sun come up with Rachael still too far away. If she landed there was chance, but unwilling to risk the trinket, she flew back. There was a tree almost a mile off that was too high to be threatened for the day. The sun came and froze her, she fell thirty feet to her death, shattering before the stone eyes of her lover and best friend, a smile on her face, her trinket would be safe.

The evening came and both the remaining gargoyles woke with a cry of anguish. Quickly swooping down, they gingerly touched and mourned their dear lost one. With no choice, they gathered the trinket as the last piece of Rachael and left. It was a long journey before they found the Dachaidh clan.
