Mariah flew over a vast stretch of water, following small glowing lights below. The lanterns of human fishing boats decorated the unsettled sea with a warm starry look as the sunset was fading to darkness. She played with them, pretending to fly between the lights as she glided so seemlessly through the calm air. Mariah did not care about attracting unwanted attention from below, she felt that humans were harmless against her large and beautyful body.
Her games continued to amuse her until a long line of orange light caught her sight. She glided slower and moe linear as she turned to investigate. It moved fiercly through the water, becoming harsh and noisey. The boatmen too had now noticed it and were crying load and ringing bells. She quickened her pace to get a closer look, but almost as she did so she realised it wasnt a strange light, it was e reflection upon a massive tsunami!
She hurried quicker, divebombing toward the giant glowy wave. There wasn't much she could do however but witness the tsunami engulf the boatmen and it's greed made way for the shore of a nearby island.
"Noooooo! Help them please!"

< I almost feel bad for throwing Raj all around... > Rajasi stirred at the sudden shift of gravity. She heard a lot of human voices shouting in a very confused manner. 'Strange...' she thought. 'I shouldn't be anywhere near-' Gravity suddenly shifted again, awakening her fully. She tried to jerk herself into a standing position, but found some resistance. She noted the fishnet around her at this time. 'Silly humans...' she broke the netting easily enough, thoroughly startling the owner of the little boat. 'He must think I caused this mess...' Now able to look at her surroundings, she found a sea of lights spread over the black water. She slipped on the wet surface of the boat as gravity shifted around again, more violently this time. She spun partway around, and could now see the gigantic glowing wave that was rapidly approaching. "Oh." she said aloud, almost automatically spreading her wings and taking off into the evening sky.

Zuri pranced over the sand next to the shore. There was a bay nearby where humans ran about busy with their lives. She sat and watched the lights of the bay as the sun faded over the horizen. It seemed like a very peaceful night.
As Zuri grew tired of watching the lights she began to jump the waves as they reached the shore. But the waves stopped coming to her. For some odd reason, the water felt.. off. This wasn't right. Her ears twitched as she hear the sound of bells and alarms from out at sea. In the distance she could see something. A light.
Not knowing what was comming, Zuri flew as fast as she could to the end of the closest wooden dock.
Was that a giant wave..? If that wave didn't stop, it was going to wipe out the small city on the beach for sure. But what could she do?

Mariah continued flying down, in hopes that there would be humans to save, but also she wanted to preserve the island which provided a good shelter between journeys and a small amount of food too. As she was close to the water she was nearly ahead of the wave, racing it to shore as if she had a plan of action. Truth is she didnt.
Upon skimming the fishing seas she noticed another large modifox with wings. Was that a Modidaeva she thought, distracting her from the truama at present. Unable to stop, she continued toward the island. Crying out "MOVE! GET AWAY!" but rather than any human take not and run they stared at her with fear. She cursed her language barrier and looked around hastily. Then she noticed another large fox with wings. She hadn't seen so many winged foxes in one minute before, and again she was distracted.
The wave was now very close to shore, was there anything she or the oethers could do? Probably not.

As she stood there looking out at the wave, Zuri noticed another fox with wings that looked a lot like she did. She wasn't the only one? Awesome. But the other winged fox looked sort of paniced.
Oh yeah. The wave. Which was approaching rather quickly. What to do, what to do.? Zuri found herself running into the main part of the town. She stopped and noticed the humans running about in fear and keeping a good distance from her. They were all shouting and running away but they weren't going nearly fast enough. Oh, if only they trusted her. Wait... There was one who trusted her.
Zuri looked around franticly for the small child who often fed her scraps of food. She spotted the girl running, clinging her mothers with one hand and what seemed to be a little brother with the other. She hoped the child wouldn't freeze up in fear as she ran up to her.
In one quick motion, Zuri ran under the girl, causing her to fall onto her. The girl was situated awkwardly but she was on. With another quick motion, she grabbed the small boy with her tail and took off in flight. She could hear the mothers scream behind her and there was a sharp pain from nails being dug into her neck and maybe teeth into her tail but she flew on.
Ignoring the growing pain, Zuri flew above the trees and turned back to see how high and close the wave was now. Not matter what happend to the humans now, at least two of them would be safe.

Mariah took note of the other 'phims success. She straight away bolted into the center and grabbed at the children's mother by her dress, clenching the frabric tight between her teeth. It was hard to take flight with such a weight hanging from her jaw that she almost flew into a tree.

< Thanks. ^ ^;; > Rajasi noticed the other two winged foxes trying frantically to save some of the humans. Being a 'deva, she couldn't care less about the silly people running around on the ground. Though, she did feel bad for not at least trying to help as she flew past the series of boats in the water. With a mental sigh, she scanned the boats as she zipped past, noticing that many of them appeared to be unoccupied, their owners having retreated inside the hull in hopes of protection from the coming wall of water. Sensing that there was little to be done about the people in the water, she tucked her wings inward a bit and dove toward the confusion that had engulfed the town, noting that the 'phims had successfully managed to take three of the humans with them. She felt a little less guilty seeing those three humans being carried off to safety, but the whole situation still seemed hopeless to her. For the humans. She noticed a familiar pattern of blue and white sitting atop one of the evacuated homes. The fox seemed to be painfully unaware of the events around her, and was staring into the sky in the complete opposite direction of the oncoming wave. Rajasi sighed, partly out of disgust and partly out of a sudden sense of responsibility. Rime sat on the flat rooftop, gazing up at the sky at the emerging stars. She seemed to be in a world of her own, and she almost quite literally was. Her attention was just about completely lost among the slowly growing number of stars in the sky. None of the confusion was reaching her. None of the noise, none of the fear. Her mind was at home in the night sky among the stars. She suddenly felt a slight pressure at the scruff of her neck, and gravity's hold gave up on holding her to her seat. She blinked. She looked down, the noise of the confusion below finally registering in her brain. She blinked again. "Mmmf." a very familiar voice growled. Rime immediately knew something must be wrong.< Sorry about the monster post. >//<;; I might not be able to get a reply in until later tomorrow, so I decided to prepare myself a little beforehand. >

((no probs))
Mariah took the lady up high, as her wings beat fast and strong to keep their weight above the trees. She tried with her eyes squinted to see around them and look down at the chaos on the island. With the human lady struggling a panicing in her jaws she realised she had to find a safe place to put them, and then if she had time to she could go back for more.
The wave was even closer now, a great danger to many who could not swim or run fast. The height of it was now about the size of a large house, but some trees were maybe taller. If the trees could stand the pressure of the wave maybe they could...
Mariah acted fast, flying to the tallest tree within a short distance, and placed the human lady down. It was an awkward task but once she let go the strength came back to her with the weight suddenly dropped. She looked around wuick for anyone else whom she could help. Thats when she noticed that 'daeva again, and a smaller modifox too but wingless.

Zuri smiled as she saw the 'phim pick up the mother. She decided to follow the others lead and flew to the same tree to drop the children off. It seemed strong enough to hold them. Once the kids were safe she turned back to see another winged fox, unlike any she had seen before, carrying a non winged fox. Zuri hadn't even thought about the foxes on the island.
The wave was getting dangerously close so Zuri made another quick dive into the town. Though the people were still terribly afraid of her, one couple swallowed their fear and placed four of their children on Zuri's back. She noticed that there was a fifth child so she did like she had done before and wrapped the child in her tail. She wasn't sure how fast or far she would be able to fly but her adrenaline was kicking and she knew she would be able to save them.
As she was about to take off, her eyes scanned the area for any modifoxes that weren't going to be able to make it out in time.

Rajasi set Rime down on a tree near the three rescued humans. She hovered for a moment, looking over the children and their mother, then perched herself atop a different tree to get a moment's rest. "You've gotten heavier." she grumbled to Rime, narrowing her eyes and giving the other fox a very annoyed look.
Rime blinked and stared at Rajasi for a moment before answering. "I've gotten bigger too." She noted the humans atop the tree next to the one she was perched on, puzzled for a moment, then looked out in the direction of the ocean. Immediately upon spotting the wave, a small surprised gasp escaped her lips. "Oh..." She heard a rustle of branches and leaves as Rajasi lifted off again, then watched as the 'deva flew back over to the panicked town.

Her eyes didn't spot any modifoxs in the panic of the town, so Zuri decided to take off. The first beat of her wings barely got her off the ground so she decided to take a running start. Making sure the child in her tail wasn't being dragged on the ground, Zuri ran as fast as she could through the panic with as much weight as she was carrying. Once she had enough momentom, she leaped into the air and beat her wings as hard as she could to keep herself and passengers in the air.
She could hear the dock being torn appart behind her. Inspired by the fear of drowning, Zuri was able to make herself fly a bit higher among the trees.

< Was gonna wait for Ryan to respond, but... > Rime watched the dark colored 'Phim struggle - perhaps only slightly - to rescue the group of children. The full weight of the situation finally hit her, but it did nothing more than strike concern. She knew that this would turn into an awful event - as if it wasn't bad enough already - and that the poor humans would have to start all over, but she remained her usual calm and collected self. She glanced at the sky for a few moments again, looking for an answer somewhere within the the stars - the familiar stars - and their stories. Finding none, she looked toward the moon, closing her eyes for a moment and sending a silent beam of hope toward it. She then looked back at the frightened people atop the tree near her, but wasn't terribly inclined to make any move toward them. They were scared enough as it is.Rajasi scanned the town a final time, aware of the 'Phim rescuing the group of children. She attempted to follow the scent back to where the parents were, but everything was far too muddled and she couldn't bother herself too much with it, even in this rather dire situation. She circled the town only once, though her gaze went out to the sea and the advancing wave. She shook her head as she headed back toward the trees where the rest of their 'rescuees' were located.
