Every year my school hosts Route 66, a marching competition, which has grown to be one of the biggest in the state (we had to turn down a few bands, or we would have equaled Missouri State University's!). We have 29 bands attending, and we are only a city of 16,000.... so space will probably be an issue
Anyway, been to a marching competition? How does your band normally fair? Terrible? Mediocre? Godly?
Our marching band has 160 people and we manage to hang with the biggest schools around.... we did pretty good this year.

our school does quite nicely.
last year we won everything possible in all competitions. this year still grand champions, but we are getting second place in places like music or sometimes marching

we have a compitition in columbia missouri at missou and its the biggest one yet. i think its the champion of champions one im not sure but im nervous

We had a rather big competition last week called the festival of bands. We had 30 bands there, plus the college hosting it. We did fairly good. We managed 9th, when last year we had about 17th.

Somewhere between fairly good and godly. We have at least 180 people. We are able to compete with most of the 5A schools. Of course we should be going to State but the judges at our Area competition didn't know what they were seeing and we got 4th place there. stare

Our band is on the way to state championships in Long Beach next weekend, there are already 16 or 17 bands in our division alone, and 38 bands total, I think. It's the WBA (Western Bands Association) Championships.

i'd say my band does pretty well. we're in division 6 (this means we're big)
and we either win or get like 2nd at most shows. last time we did nationals ( 2 years ago) we got 2nd by 1/10 of a point. and we're going again this year.
