Took a vacation from the internets last week, got back this morning. Turns out I didn't go to Genericon, 'cause it wasn't really worth it, but I did get some extra time to study for the regents, which I took yesterday.
Is anybody here going to go to New York Comic Con? I'll be there on the 8th with the school anime/comic club, wearing my Fallout 3 lone wanderer outfit. :]
UUUgh. But right now, I have to write 8 short essays for gym by the 30th, that's in two days! D: So stupid, I can't believe that I forgot about those. Yeah. I have to write essays as a replacement for gym, which is utter nonsense to begin with.
After all that panic, I'll get to add the finishing touches to my costume just in time for the con. I already have the Pip-boy 3000 constructed, a (cardboard) lead pipe, and the armor and belts for the armored Vault 101 jumpsuit. I just need to alter the jumpsuit a bit. I got it at a surplus place, but the smallest one I could find was a medium and I probably need an extra small. XD Lots of cutting and patching back together, then I'll just iron-on the 101 on the back and collar, and sew the yellow stripe down the front. Hopefully I'll be able to do all that in time. >__>;
I don't remember if I linked y'all to pics of the Pip-boy yet, but I can just edit in the link if you want to see it. :]
EDIT: Holy moly! It would seem that the longer I've been away from Gaia, the better my aquarium prizes are when I return! XD I just got another fluff box! : D

Essays in lieu of of Gym? That's just silly! But I guess it does beat having to work with Mr. Roos. Bleh. And the tests today were canceled due to snow! And that REALLY sucks because I had today off regardless, and everyone else has to take them in June. AGAIN. CRAAAAAAP.
Oh, and you're going to Comic Con? My other friends from school are going. RenzokukenXIV is going with some of her friends, that I'm certain. I wish I could go to more Cons, but I have a tough time convincing mom and pop to let me go during the school year. Maybe I'd pull out a new costume, like Freddie Mercury or something.
And as for that costume, PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. xd
Seriously, I'd love to see it.

What about your viking costume? XD I never got to see that. :[
But as far as I know, there'll be a couple Naruto cosplays (Kiba and Tsunade, I think), one or two steampunks (either my friend will wear her steampunk garb, or her Edward Scissorhands costume, not sure), and a bunch of nerds and weaboos. XD It'll be fun, though.
I am going to blow all of my Christmas money on starting a comic book collection, and maybe some figurines and art alley stuff. XD

Oh! You've met the others in the school's comic book club? Cool! Yeah, they're pretty cool, well a few of them anyway.
My Viking Costume? Psh, that was pretty cheap. Just some crap I've had lying around the house that I threw on for Decade Day, or in this case, it was more like Century Day. I was proud of being the oldest decade in school but then I heard about my friend Amanda with her cave-woman outfit. I was outdone! crying
And that gear is SWEET. What game did you emulate for this? And what the hell kinda tools did you use? Were you welding? razz
And I've never seen those plushies! They're awesome! And as adorable as a viking could ever hope to be! (Sorry, but I have NO CLUE what the second one was. I saw a hammer and an attachment in front, sorry, I'm a little dumb. sweatdrop )

Wasn't there a robot guy, too?
Thanks. It's from Fallout 3. And I don't think you can weld cardboard. XD It's just cardboard, foam, water bottle bits, and some plastic, with lots and lots of hot glue and metallic paint. XD
The other one is pretty weird. He's a bipedal banana-slug with ram horns, emo bangs, an eyepatch, and a big mallet of doom. : D
I just kinda made him as I went, and added whatever I felt like, so he turned out very strange.
Lul, but whenever I post a link to something of mine on deviantart, that big wall of text below the picture is my description of it. XD

He made a big cardboard thing-a-ma-jigg and made it so that his ipod could blast out of the front. It was GREAT. xd Wait, that's cardboard and plastic? I honestly thought that was metal!
