Cresil didn't want to be around anyone. She felt excluded, confused, anxious, hateful... her emotions were swarming and changing at all times and it was seriously exhausting. She didn't ask for her mind, nor did she ask for any of the thoughts that swarmed through. So for now she wandered and tried to keep herself in the clear. She had no idea where she was going, but she was moving and getting somewhere. So that was all that mattered.

She felt disconnected from everything and everyone lately. She was at least thankful to have her sister Reaver, and with father's training she found something to keep her mind preoccupied. But she still was not satisfied with anything. Why did she have to be born? She didn't want to live! Especially when she had three other sisters and a brother to deal with. She was nothing like them. She was silenced and left alone most of the time, since she had nothing to offer in her existence.

She didn't want any of it. And that's why she was on her own at the moment, moving freely. But something still didn't feel right. She couldn't make decisions on her own, or figure out where she should travel to. She knew all and all she'd need to go home eventually, so how was it that she was free?

He had been watching it for many minutes, as if stalking something he wanted to attack. But, in truth Dante wasn't like that. He was only watching the filly because he was afraid since he knew what and who it was. For so many seasons he had avoided everything his father was, and everything he had done and become. And now, he had tracked yet ANOTHER offspring of his father's. And the filly was easy to spot from the face it carried. It looked so much like Ezriel- with those eyes that could pierce anybody. But the filly lacked spikes, so Dante wondered who the mother could be.

The filly looked desperate, and Dante wondered why. There was something uncertain about the way she moved and the way her frown held. Dante then realized that the filly carried a unicorn tail, and a unicorn horn that finally showed itself in the musky atmosphere. His father had been with a unicorn?! What unicorn would go near such a beast!

A light sigh left Dante's mouth, and without further ado he finally started moving closer to the figure. The filly wasn't moving very fast, so it was easy for Dante to catch up. And soon, he was directly behind the creature, trailing her as if he'd known her for awhile.

"Where are you going?" he finally said, with a stern voice and careful eyes. "If you linger too far I'm sure your father will get upset." A light grunt escaped his throat as he stated such a reference, and he envisioned his father's expression on such a tiny beast.

He thought he had gotten over everything, but if he said that he'd only be lying to himself. He didn't know what was making him comfront this relative, but he would with a strong head and an even stronger heart. This creature was his step-sister, and he would properly meet her just as anyone else would.

Even if his father scared the living daylight out of him...

She was so preoccupied with ignoring the world that the stallion's voice made her tumble forward and trip. Thankfully she caught herself quickly, and with a snarl she made a semi-circle and turned herself to face the silver stallion. What gave him the right to speak to her? And to speak of her father?! This guy was seriously an idiot. "I am of none of your concern." she finally said with a harsh voice. She hated speaking, since she hated the way her voice sounded. It was raspy and unclear, and it held little value compared to her other siblings.

"And you know what, neither is my father. You should leave this instant before things get nasty." The foal then clicked her teeth together as her father had shown her, and every hair on her body inched up in a furious manner. She hated strangers. And that meant that she hated this stallion.

He was weak looking, and she knew she could take him easily. His hair was long and luscious, and she found that very amusing since he was supposedly a stallion. "Even if you are a girl I won't go easy on ya!" an ugly laugh left her mouth as she stomped her front hooves from her self-made joke. Her father had also taught her to taunt when appropriate, and judging from this stallion's hair it felt like the right moment!

Any past doubts he had about this child not being Reapers were soon lost when the filly confronted him. So, had his father raised perfect monsters like he'd always dreamed? Monsters that looked and spoke like Ezriel, with muscles and scars to prove their worth in this world? Dante was not of that breed. He was proud to take after his mother, and to represent and protect he and Meera. And from the looks and sounds of things, this filly was HARDLY a threat. Her voice was a mixture of anger and sadness and Dante couldn't help but notice her trembling spirit. She was very lost indeed.

"You can cool down now." he finally said, while brushing his hair out of his eyes. He had to remember that this was a child, one who only knew of one specific and terrible world. He expected her attitude, but he did not expect her dwindling spirit. That was the greatest surprise of all. "And I do have the right to speak of your father. I know him well." HA! Even being the son of Reaper, the carrier of his blood and spikes, Dante knew inside that he was lying. He didn't know him at all. They were strangers as far as Dante knew. Dante was as much of a ghost as the deceased. But he was ok with that reality.

"If you are done making fun of me then why don't we chat. I have a lot to ask you." He then made his way close to the filly to examine her eyes some more. She was quite the combination. If one didn't know of her heritage they'd probably think she was the purist being there was, since she had unicorn and angeni traits in her. But her face was a dead giveaway of something different, something much deeper and harsher then most could understand. "I suppose I should start with introductions, though. I'm Dante. What did your parents name you?"

Cresil could only blink her dark eyes at the stallion's boldness. He completely ignored everything she did and said and brushed it off as if she was an idiot! Yeah, she'd show him. But when he said she knew of her father, she became even more confused. How was THAT possible? This stallion!? He was pathetic looking! "How do you know my dad!" she then said, with a demanding tone. "He doesn't associate with weaklings." she wasn't kidding, either. Cresil knew why her father had chosen her mother. Her mother was bold and unique in her own right, and could handle any soquili without fail. Cresil wished she could be more like her mother. But that possibility seemed like a joke, just like the many others she'd think of.

"Why do I have to put up with you, Dante?" she then added while stomping her hoof at the stallion. "You showed up and first interrupted my day, second bothered me, and thirdly annoyed me. What makes you think you can do that to a stranger!" Even if he did know of her dad, that didn't give him a right to act all maturely or whatever. He had a lot of nerve! "You're stupid!" she finally yelled, and her face puffed up as her cheeks filled out.

Now she was getting very upset. She felt flustered, and more appropriately bothered by many other thoughts and issues that were beyond this stallion's appearance. Even so, why was this stallion approaching her now when she was feeling most weak and susceptible? She just couldn't understand anything. This was her luck indeed.

Baah. This was why he hated some children. The filly seemed to be ignoring everything he was saying and acknowledging only what she wanted. How frustrating. But, he expected this much to happen. Especially from any Reaper-child he could imagine. "I think you are misunderstanding my words." he gave the filly a small grin, but in truth it felt incredibly unnecessary.

"I had no idea that I disturbed you so much." Clearly he wasn't the only reason the filly was overreacting. "So I am sorry if I honestly did." he then bowed his head gently to show the eminent kindness he always carried. "But there is a good reason why I am here and talking to you now. I was actually observing you before, since it took me many moments to approach you." Oh boy, should he tell the filly how it was? And that she wasn't god's gift to heaven like her father had probably taught her. There were 'other' gifts that existed and what-not! "I am you step-brother, actually." he finally said, while his eyes were elsewhere. "I'm from Reaper's first offspring loot..."

Not like it mattered, really. The filly could interpret the information however she wanted. Dante honestly believed that his father never spoke of HIM especially, so the filly would probably laugh and not believe him. Reaper had moved on with other families now, and was probably the same old b*****d he always was.

This filly was living proof of that. Or at least, that's what Dante thought from appearances only... not like he could ever actually know what was going on...

The filly remained standoffish even as the stallion apologized, but it was his later words that got her listening. Wait. Wait wait wait. THIS was Dante?! Like, the Dante she'd heard of before?! "Woa." she then said, in the most innocent tone she had ever used. Now she was very glad she always listened to her father's words. If she wasn't a good student then she'd never be able to draw two and two together. But now one piece of knowledge was coming back to her very quickly, as well as a description to fit it. This was Dante. The silver son from Reaper's first mix-up.

She eyed his spikes carefully and took a step closer. She could tell he was surprised from her own interest, and she pouted her lips in a way she had never done before. "Dante, Ezriel, and then Meera. The first three offspring of father."

It seemed life was full of mysteries and exceptions, and there were many that Dante could never envision and take in. Like his current predicament for example, anything he could have imagined with this filly did not happen. In contrast, the one reaction the filly gave him was the farthest from his imagination. She actually knew of him AND his siblings. Now THAT was weird.

What made matters worse was her shocking attitude change. Now she was acting like a child who had just found the ripest of fruit. She was staring at Dante with new and vibrant eyes, some that he didn't find possible from the filly before. "You know of me? And my name?" Now he felt as though he was a foal himself, and that he was making a connection with yet another innocent being. "How do you know of me?"

There was no way that his father had admitted to having him, Meera, and Ezriel. Well, maybe he'd admit to Ezriel. But he and Meera were not likely suspects. "I have to admit, I am rather shocked." Yeah, but how could this filly understand? She had no idea of the burden he carried and of the hidden scars that ached daily. But still, Dante would treat his step-sister with kindness. Especially since things had gotten interesting in a manner of moments. "Can you explain it all to me?" He really wished it so.
PostPosted: Wed Jan 28, 2009 11:34 am

Why was Dante so surprised? Cresil stared at him and tried to envision what Ezriel and Meera might have looked like in comparison, but so far she was finding that hard to do. So, instead she decided to help her new brother and explain whatever she could for him. This was family, and her father had taught her and her siblings to ALWAYS respect family. She was clearly the immature one for not connecting two and two together from their encounter.

"Father talks of you and Meera quite often." she then said, while watching Dante's shock increase. "He doesn't speak of your brother as much anymore, there was some drama that I am still unaware of." Cresil gave a light shrug and decided to walk around Dante while observing him. "But daddy told each of us to look for you especially. He says that he's seen and mended whatever happened with Meera, and now he needs to rebuild his relationship with you." she paused then and made her way back in front of Dante. "I'm not really sure what happened between you too."

It must have been complicated, though. Cresil remembered her father's eyes when he spoke of Dante. Reaper was upset and frustrated, and it was an emotion Cresil was still working on learning. "Father wants family to be the most important thing, and that's what he's taught us. And oh," she then lowered her ears and hung her head lowly from her neck. "I'm Cresil...and I'm sorry for being a brat." She couldn't help that she found him a stranger at first!

What was going on? Was this filly insane? Dante didn't want to believe any of the words that were coming out of Cresil's mouth. But he knew he'd be an idiot if he ignored them all, since they were true. It was just like Angel had said- Reaper had changed. And the change was brought out in his new children, his new family. Why did he want to patch things up with his older kids? Dante wasn't needed in the past, so why would he be needed now? Oh, how cruel the world was...

"Nothing happened between us. Yeah, nothing. I was never there, I wasn't even considered alive, I wasn't acknowledged, loved, cared about!" Dante caught himself before yelling further, and he looked down at the little filly in surprise. He hadn't done tht sort of thing in ages. How embarrassing. And here he thought he had moved on. "I'm sorry, Cresil. Its just hard, you know?" No, she probably didn't know. But that was ok too. There was no reason for her to feel those things, they were his burdens, no one else's.

"I am sorry to drag you into my mess." Poor filly. She shouldn't have become a messenger. But at least she wasn't complaining. If anything, she seemed glad to be helping her father. That was refreshing! "I'm sure your father is very proud of you, Cresil. How many other siblings do you have?" Of course he was interested! "And.. do you mind me asking who your mother is?"
PostPosted: Wed Jan 28, 2009 12:34 pm

Cresil stared in awe at the outburst of emotions. Clearly this was situation she could never understand. Maybe she was spoiled rotten more then she could even fathom? For example, her parents did everything for her and her siblings. Her father tended to their every request, and their mother made sure they looked their best at all times. What Dante spoke of was the complete opposite... something that sounded even scary to poor Cresil. "That's awful, Dante." was all she could really say, and she realized how selfish she was for trying to run away from home for awhile. Ha! And it was all because she wanted attention? She should be ashamed of herself.

"Your not dragging me in anything, I'm happy to listen." she watched Dante's stressful eyes and decided to move in and snuggle against his leg. When she made it next to him, she giggled at how much taller he was then her. This was something she always did to her parents, and it felt sort of cool to be showing the same sort of affection towards her brother!

"I hope he is proud of me." she then said, while looking up at Dante carefully. "And I have three sisters and a brother. There's a lot of us! And my mother is Angelique. Have you ever met her?" That was probably a strange question to ask, but Cresil didn't know better. "Either way I think they'd all love to meet you. We've all heard so much about you from father!"

Dante remained still as the filly moved closer to him, and when she showed great affection he felt his face melt. Here was a child that resembled Reaper completely, and she was acknowledging affection? To him of all creatures?! How had things changed so much? There was no way a monster could lose all of it's habits. Or was there?

Despite his crazed thoughts, he nudged lightly on the filly's head. She was a sweet one, and he could tell she needed time to grow herself. He wondered if she was always that harsh to strangers from their beginning exchange. Then again, maybe it was good she was that tough when wandering alone. That way no one could ever take advantage of her in any way. Heh, that was definitely a Reaper teaching.

When she did answer about her family, he blinked repeatedly and tried to consider that many kids in front of Reaper. "Wow, that is a lot of siblings." Not just for her to deal with, but for him too! "As for Angelique, no I have not met her." The name was inspiring, and he wondered if he should go meet her sometime. But man, how weird would that be?

"I hope with time I can meet everyone." he then stated, rather simply. He watched as the filly moved in front of him again, and her eyes were watchful and full of worry. "Like I said, sometimes we all just need space and moments to figure things out. As you get older you'll see that truth to life yourself."
PostPosted: Wed Jan 28, 2009 5:07 pm

Cresil was quiet even after Dante spoke. She was confused, but not because of what Dante said. She was confused on how he was feeling. Or rather, she was confused and wondering if he was a coward. It would be harsh to label anybody with that statement, especially with what Dante had been through. But Cresil was not satisfied. She had laid the facts out about her family, and explained how her father felt about he and Meera. Would more could Dante need to think about?

"Your mind is much more of a mess than mine." she finally said, while rolling her dark eyes. "And I thought I was the worst!" she grinned rather sheepishly and figured Dante wouldn't be impressed. Well, hopefully her brattiness would bring out a change in heart for Dante. Father wanted everything to be ok now! So, why wouldn't Dante allow or want that?

"Dad can't change the past, but he can only change the future." she then said, rather wisely. "I've heard him say that before, to mom, to us." He taught them how to look forward, even if the current seemed unchangeable. "You have to decide if you want to change, Dante." she then added, with a quiet tone. Maybe he didn't. Cresil knew how scary change was, and was nervous to grow herself. But she would never be a coward in anything she did. That was for sure!

When Cresil finally responded to him he raised a brow at her unexpected comments. Well, that wasn't entirely true. At this point in their meeting, mentally he was already passed being surprised. This filly continued to shock and surprise him with each word that was said. She was indeed something different, and he feared what his other 'new' siblings were like. Hopefully they were as entertaining as Cresil was at least.

"Why is your mind a mess?" he then asked, with a light grin. "You are still young, there is no reason to have a mind like that yet." Then again, he was something special when he was younger. Hopefully any crazy mind-genes didn't pass on from Reaper to his sister. That would be unfortunate.

Dante stared deeply at his step-sister as she repeated something very strange. "I'm not used to him saying those things." Dante then admitted, while scruffing his hoof along the ground. Since when did Reaper become such a saint? Was it just an act now, to make sure his parents were pleased with his progress? Dante was crushed. He just couldn't tell, or rather, believe it.

"Ah, so you truly believe this is all about me changing? I never thought about it like that." he grunted lightly and realized there was a truth to her statement. If Reaper had truly changed, then it was up to only him if he wanted to move forward. But, how could he move forward if the past was always over his shoulder?
