Caught this one on Monday(Asutralia Day) making the rounds of Winton International Raceway in Benella. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL machine with the scars to prove its heritage:
V8 swap into a 260Z! More than held its own against the modern machinery. No bling, nothing fanciful, just raw purpose.

But you said it lost and didn't do well in your other thread...?
The driver came in 15th out of 42 cars, I wouldn't call that "losing" considering that he was only a second off of Jennifer's twin. mrgreen He took quite a few scalps on the day if you look at the results, and he did a great job even though he didn't get way up there in the table. Granted he didn't do as well as our boys, but still it was a great effort.

I wouldn't mind owning that. The engine bay is simple and straight forward, plus clean. I'm sure it sounds like a beast.

Now that's given me a great idea for a road car. twisted I didn't actually know the Datsun's had so much room under the bonnet, So many Option's. mrgreen

They've got TONS of room m8. If you really look, the engine can go backwards yet another 120-150mm to take a larger, all-alloy V8 while still keeping it inside the wheelbase for both better distribution as well as overall weight reduction.
