Lost, or more to the fact, never knew where he was. It had been years since he had been anywhere he called home. Gazing around the flat, grass land around him, he yawned broadly. Trotting along, the blue and gold dragon in cheetah skin feared nothing. Standing out wasn't anything he worried about, if his colors didn't scare others off, he could handle himself in a fight. There was also speed, only Kolo was ever as fast as him and that was way back when they were cubs.

Her life had been sheltered. Shed been forced to shy away as she grew up, her father hiding her behind him at all costs in all situations. But as the female aged, she had decided that that was no life for her. She wanted something else..Even if that meant leaving father to the lands that he called home and finding her own.
Her blonde mane hung about her eyes and was always neat and tidy as she liked to keep a neat appearance. There were many species she'd come to know as being common to the area, but she was horridly out of place with most of their names.. She had never really met anything other than hyenas.. She had seen most others though.. Now if only she ever had the chance to meet one of them.
Today was her day it seemed, as the blue cheetah appeared in her line of sight. She was horridly bored, wanting so badly to have some kind of interaction. His being there was just destiny.. Someone WANTED her to get to meet the male.
She flicked her knublike tail before prancing over with a bit of a grin.
"Hello!"

Turning his head to the side, he spotted the pale hyena as she called to him. Ever the charmer, he approached smiling warmly, "Hello, beautiful lily, what might your name be?" A slight tip to his head, his eyes glanced at the lovely creature waiting for signs of aggression or, better yet, interest in being friendly.

Unfazed by the compliment, she just smiled a bit. Her father, had charmed her mother so well, that she didnt think that she would ever be truly seduced, or charmed. But it was all in good fun.
"Oh silly, my name is not Lily, nor do I look for someone to call be beautiful." But her voice was kind, if not a bit edgy with toughness.
"My name is Esperanza, Esper for short."
She was friendly. In fact she had never run into anyone that she disliked. Everyone had reasons they were interesting..
Or at least she thought so.
Her smile bared her fangs that came witht eh carniverous side of the female, but she was in no way showing anger or dislike. Her little paws, had always been dainty like her lily-white mother. She had always been happy to get her mothers paws..If she had her father, Geheims feet, she prbably would have proved quite odd.

His eyes shinned, this one had some fire in her. That was the name of the game, dancing around the fire until you tame it. This was just for fun, he meant her no harm. "Well, Esper, is it not nice to find what you are not looking for?" While he was a charmer, he was also cheeky.
Before he got himself into trouble, the young male looked around and asked, "Where is your pack? Cheetah are loners but I have never seen a hyena without at least four more around." They liked to steal his meals, but that would hardly make this interesting. All he needed to know is a gang wouldn't come after him.

She smiled, cocking her head. "If I was not looking for it, and it was not lost, could it really be that great to find what I didnt know I was missing?" She asked, merely trying to use her wit. She was a clever little thing. She had a brain on her shoulders, and she was never sly about using it. She was a bit of an oddball, as sometimes her words were a bit bigger than the little body she inhabitated, but she still enjoyed the sound of them.
"That was philosophy..Least thats what momma says.. Shes incredibly smart." She said with a nod before thinking on his next question. She had never belonged to anything that resembled a pack. She had been around with her siblings and mother and father till late..Now she was prefectly happy being on her own.
"I travel alone. I prefer the silence.. My siblings were always worry warts, and I never really had any friends who enjoyed my kind of fun."

Ryuu had one for her two, he was versed in philosophy if thats what she was talking about. His word for it was twisting words to his benefit, "Well miss, we often find what he don't know we need. Like this poor cheetah, I never knew I was missing a smile from a lovely pale hyena until I found one." Smiling again, the incorrigible one didn't know when to quit.
Thinking about that a moment, he learned something today, hyena don't all do what he saw them do most of his life. Every day you learn something new, it makes life better.

She giggled, a little laugh rolling off her tongue as she shook her head.
"Touche' sir, Touche'."
Her little stubby tail wagged like a dogs, and she was brimming with absolutely excitement. She had met someone! Sure, he was rather odd in his compliments of a young hyena, he being a cheetah and all..But she enjoyed the attention.
"I hardly think you would be considered poor having never seen a smile from me, but I must say that a smile from me to be as treasured or prized as such..Makes me flutter inside!" She said with another giggle. Yes, she spoke girl still too..Sometimes males didnt always understand..but it was okay in her book.
"My name is Esperanza, or Hope, whats your name?"

Ryuu puffed his chest out a little, he was enjoy this interaction. Then, she turned the tables on him. With a pout, he sat down and lowered his head with his ears flat. Pathetic, that was exactly what he was going for and this cheetah could ham it up.
Raising his paw, it touched his chest and he bowed a little and told her, "Takeshieryuu, or Ryuu for short, means honored dragon, I prefer the dragon." The proud dragon image was not working like this; however, one act must be transitioned into another not just jumped around.

The female smiled, before batting at him playfully with a dainty paw. "No pouting now, you might make me feel as if I am not capable of keeping your attention." She said with a giggle, of course.. How true that was she didnt know.
DId she want his attention? Really no, not in the way he was giving it, but being flirted with made her feel all fluttery inside, and she knew why her mothe rhad fallen so hard for father.
"Well, Dragon," She said with a smile.
"What do you do around here?"

Success! With a bright smile of his own, he perked up instantly. Such a lovely smile deserved something and he had the perfect thing in mind, "Then I shall pout no more, for one of your wit is more fascinating then a fickle flower." There was a bumblebee metaphor, the problem with only having yourself to talk to would be assuming the other gets the joke. After all, he always understood it.
What does he do? The simplest answer was probably not what she was looking for, "I exist, just live and wonder." For now, that was all he could do, because nothing less or more fit him. Sure, he also did his share of spreading wild oats, but she really didn't know that. That might chase her off and he was enjoying talking with her.

She smiled, flicking her mane out of her eyes once more, and sniffing him with a pink colored nose. She pulled back and cocked her head.
"Ive never met one of you before." She said, looking at him again.
Then her eyes grew slightly wide. "You dont do anything but that? You dont explore, go on adventures, or enjoy life?"
She of course could never imagine doing that..But she sometimes forgot that not everyones path was hte same as hers.

Ryuu tilted his head at her weird question, asking first seriously, "Never met a cheetah before?" Now the part he couldn't resist, "Or a handsomely charming male not related to you?" A big grin followed, showing off his strong teeth and his 'charming' smile. One more proof that he was that great after all.
Stretching his long, slinder legs out, he shook his head and answered her, "Living is an adventure, worrying about where your next meal is going to come and if a gang of something will swoop in and attack, its thrilling." This lifestyle wore thin on the male, it showed a bit, "I am always exploring though, hardly impressive when I have spent my whole life wondering." World wery was a good enough term for him, about now he was ready to move on already. Being alone was part of the package, the young pup was nice enough but being reminded of it made parting a better idea.

She blinked a bit and cocker her head, but replied. "Both actually.."
She had no interest in this cheetah, but that was probably because he was a cheetah. She had been raised with her own kind, and though she was sure that none of the species could ever cross with the hyena regardless, she was going to end up with a hyena.
She actually never wanted to settle down. She was happier living life on the edge and being free.
But living a life that was boring and dull seemed very odd to her, though this cheetah was just odd in general.
She would probably be called home soon..Or at least shed return home whether she was called or not..But she wanted a bit more interaction first.
[I figure one more from you, then one more from me should finish it<3]

With a gentle smile, having been sobered up by the conversation now, Ryuu said this, "Keep that wit, Esper, and that fire. You'll find others who will be smart enough to appreciate it and flatter. I better go, back to existing and looking for that next meal."
Turning he veered to the left, almost to where he was abreast of her, though a couple of feet away, he added, "It was nice meeting you, hopefully we will cross paths again." Not to linger, he did the one thing he was great at, ran. For a few minutes his mane swayed like an angry fire, but he was calm. Not stopping, the cheetah went full speed ahead. Running to nothing, the path was straight and aimless even if it might appear otherwise.
