When I was on a stargate sg-1 website I was a high rank with a creative mind so they gave me the job of putting together RP's.I always found it very helpful to know where everyone was living so you could plan your times to post so you wouldnt cut anyone off from doing something or leaving them to far behind.For this purpose I created this thread so you can pst where you are and maybe if you are on vacation or in my case duty/deployment.I would also ask that you check this before posting so you know what is happening to everyone.Right now with the amount of members that we have we can do it this way but if we get alot of people we will have to come up with another method.

I'm east coast as well. So japan that sounds awesome! And you say duty/deployment...so you are military? That's awesome. Which one (army,navy, ect.) ... If you don't mind me asking.

Ok to satisfy the many questions, Childe when we met I was out of high school but doing my tech school for underwater welding.In 2007 I joined the United States Marine Corps at the age of 19.I am From Annapolis Maryland.In 2007 I was deployed for a 2 year term to Kin, Japan on the Island of Okinawa.I have been in the Marine Corps for almost 2 years now which kinda gives you an idea of how long I've been on gaia.Japan is a wonderful culture.And Okinawa is a beautiful place filled with the mostly fun customs...some alittle weird and some straight up disgusting.I totally recommend it but I would warn you to watch out where you go in town because prostitution is legal and it's run by the Yakuza(japanese mafia).If you want to see what I look like now Child just check out my profile(yes im drunk, it was the marine corps brithday lol).Oh yea the drinking age is 20 over here!I'll try to post some pics of Japan up here if I find some good ones that don't have someone doing something stupid on it.Anyway if you have any question about the military or something specific about Japan just ask and I will answer.Cya

Hmm the weirdest custom...That I would have to think about because I have been here awhile so I know the logic behind them now.Well here is just one of the top of my head but it's really not weird but it gives you a kind of knowledge of their lifestyle.Women over here will not acknowledge someone making a move on them at work, they would rather you wait outside for them to get off work before trying anything.I thought that was...intresting for lack of better words.

That is interesting. Almost like they have a huge respect for the employee/personal relationship boundary. Thanks for sharing. Sorry I ask so many questions. I'm easily fascinated by other cultures and military stuff. haha.

LOL understatement of the century. She's SUPER fascinated with Japan AND the military. I support conversation in the guild, so go crazy and ask questions. Besides I find it interesting too.
I ignore passes in the workplace as well. I mean it's not a general trend here, just a personal thing. Most girls seem to eat it up, but it bothers me.
