ok well i was just wondering what brand make and model i should ask for he already has one in mind and its like $9000 and i was wondering if anyone knew what kind that was and any other ideas keep in mind he wants one that will last a long time so yea. thank you in advance.

The Russians make good tubas. Haha. At least that's where ours are from. St. Petersberg n'such.

Ask for a Jupiter convertable tuba converts from a concert Tuba to a bugle for a pretty good price and it's also a good brand

I like the Yamaha Concert tubas They're smart enough to have it where your slides are about an inch out to be in tune, so you can push those in if you're flat
I'm also a fan of our sousaphones, but then again, I haven't really played any others, so I can't give good judgement
Also, considering I'm last chair anyways, I wouldn't advise trusting my words anyways sweatdrop

20-J tubas are the best brand tubas ever made. My school has 5 of them and Jacksonville State University, the school that has the best marching band in the southeast, 21 of them and are trying to get more.

my concert tuba is really strong and it was 3,ooo for a new one and it was a YAMAHA it is a really good 4-valve tuba
my marching tuba is a jupitar and it is really good because i let a 8th graderholdit and he dropped it on concrete andit still works perfectly fine
