So, anyone see any good movies lately? Managed to get a couple of Haji-burns of some still in theaters the other day, and I was just wondering what all people have seen.

For those of you who don't know, the locals here are often refered to as Haji, which is technically a false term, as a Haji is muslim religion is one who has gone on the Haj, or the spiritual return to the holyland (Jerusulum). Many find this offensive, but many do not care. The market run by the locals is called the Hajimart, and DVDs are refered to as hajiburns, these are often low quality, but for $3 and the chance to see a movie still playing in the states, its money well spent.

I picked up Bedtime Stories, which was a lot better than I expected. Buddy of mine picked up Benjamin Buttons which was good, Paul Blart Mall Cop which we are looking forward to watching but havent yet, and a couple others.

The wife and I saw "Coraline" last friday. It was a nice movie. Creepy at times, but an all around nice movie. Then again, it was to be expected- Neil Gaiman wrote it.

Just bought myself Taken, Inkheart, Mamma Mia, The Code, The tale of Despereaux, and Swing Vote from the Haji Mart. Paid $9 for all of them, $2 on some haji candy. I was hoping they had Bolt in, cause I saw someone had it the other day, but they told me they would have some more in a couple days.

ok, from that last group:
Taken was frickin awsome. Liam Neeson totally kicked @$$.
Momma Mia was good, if your a chick, or you like musicals. I'm the later.
The Code has an alternate title Thick as Thieves, it was alright. Could have been better. Twist ending that I expected, but slightly differently.
Haven't gotten around to the others.

Got some new movies to add to the list:
Yes Man (finally): Fricking Hilarious. Was laughing through most of it the first time I watched it.
Bolt: A lot better than I thought it would be
The Day the Earth Stood Still: If your a fan of the original, dont see it. He doent even say THE line. Most famous line in all of sci-fi, and its not in the movie....
Bangkok Dangerous: Huge disappointment.

I went to see My Bloody Valentine 3D a couple weeks back. Obviously, not an Oscar winner, but still fun. Plus, it had the funniest "chased by a serial killer" scene ever. (Here's a tip ladies: I don't care how good of a body you have, you're gonna look like a damn fool running butt naked in nothing but a pair of high-heeled sandals. xd )

On the DVD front, I recently saw Iron Man, Dark Knight and Saw 5. Iron Man was lots of fun, I've always loved Robert Downey Jr. Dark Knight was a bit long but excellent, mostly because of Heath Ledger. That man was brilliant. Saw 5 was good, but I was a bit disappointed in it. The Saw movies are one of my favorite horror movie franchises and, while this one did a nice job of tying up some loose ends, it didn't have the usual "Oh, my God what?!" moment of revelation at the end for me that the others did. Sadly, for the first time in the series, I saw the ending a mile away. Makes me a bit leary about Saw VI. (I'll go see it though of course, lol. )
