What band competitions have you been to in the midwest? Just curious to know what's out there. Maybe I'll convince our BD to go there some day. Heh heh. Just wonder what type of competitions are out there and how big. Are there any really huge ones out in the midwest? I know there's the Mid-Iowa Band Championships in Ankeny (Which my band participated in just this last Saturday. We kinda sucked) which was fun. Has your band participated in that competition?

weve been to the midwest band clinic if that counts. thats symphonic tho. we got a 96.somethin or another.

I live in the mid-west so quite a few of my competitions are here. I wish we traveled further sweatdrop ... it sucks being from a lame school

Here in Ohio we have the OMEA State Finals, which takes like 5 dyas to do. Sooo yeah.

We're just a poor school so we go to all the competitions in Michigan. But we got fifth in our district for the MCBA state finals! Woooo!
