The peaceful slumber of Thunderclan was broken by a loud and anxious cry of Spiderheart. Dashing out of the warrior's den, he scurried around the camp, not caring if he disturbed anyone's sleep. After a few seconds of running around screaming, he sprinted out the entrance and returned when the groggy cats of the clan were waking up.

"Linnetsong! Linnetsong! Where is she? Where is my daughter?!"

He had been checking all the nooks and crannies of the camp, hoping to notice a scent or a fresh paw print. No such luck in here and out there. The air was crisp, indicating that a storm had passed through and wiped any evidence away, leaving a distressed father alone with no hope of finding her right away.

Brambleclaw was among the first to awaken from the racket he was causing. The deputy stretched his legs for a brief moment before padding out of the den with a scowl on his face.

"What's this about Linnetsong being missing?" He grumbled, still not fully awake. The sun wasn't even completely out yet for Starclan's sake!

"She's gone. She's not in the den, not in camp, not around here." Spiderheart replied simply. He couldn't believe it. Yes, it was known that she had the tendency to wander sometimes. But why would she leave, during the middle of the night, without telling anyone? She always came back before dawn as well.

He knew she was in trouble. He just did. Call it fatherly instincts, but he didn't want to waste any time in searching for her.

"I bet Shadowclan took her."

"Really? They don't have any quarrel with us though." Brambleclaw stifled a yawn as he looked around. There was indeed no hint of that wayward cat, as far as he could tell. And though the warrior was a bit of a trouble maker sometimes, he'd never cause this much of an alarm if it wasn't true.

"I'll organize a patrol to search for her. If we don't find her in the forest, then we'll check other clans." He nodded and glanced at the other cats peeping out of their dens. In his eyes was an unspoken request for anyone interested to join said patrol.

Blinkchase was unusually early, enough to marvel at the bleak sun that barely rose over the horizon. Huzzah. How she hated the early morning patrol. It was too cold and wet, and she was among those unlucky warriors that had to catch Shadowclan's breakfast.

Stealing a glance at the fresh kill pile left from last night, she shuddered and curled her tail around her feet. Bags of skin and bone won't feed her. She'll have to wait until the patrol catches something to eat.

And it looked like she was the first one up. Insert more joy and fanfare. The grey she-cat wanted to go back to sleep in the warm den, but the others would be joining her shortly. Then they could all be miserable together.

Rosethorn stuck her head out of the warrior's den, having been awoken my the commotion. She was still only half-awake, and her groggy brain took a moment to understand what teh fuss was about. When she finally realized that Linnetsong had gone missing, Brambleclaw was looking around as if wondering who would come on the patrol to look for her. Immediately she shook herself awake and padded over.

"I'll help look," she offered, stretching a bit to help warm and wake herself up.

A dark gray flank rose and fell in a slow rhythm, the peaceful she-cat fast asleep. She looked like the kind that liked to sleep in, but that was not the case. In a sudden jolt her eyes flashed open, and she was wide awake. Crescenthallow was up and early, as excited as could be for the patrol. As always the ever smiling she-cat has energy to spare. Shifting her blue eyes she looked to see if anyone else was awake. No? Then oh well. Getting up she silently crept out of the packed den, careful not to step on any loose tails. This morning was gonna be a bundle of fun~! Once outside she could not help but bounce a little, about as overwhelmed as an apprentice on their first trip out of camp. She could not help it though, just who she was.

Once she rid of the excess energy she simply swayed for a moment, before unsheathing the claws on a hind leg. Ever so slightly she shuffled around some grains of dirt that resided on the ground behind her. Her ears had become acute to the point where she could here the tiny grind, enough to even pick out a beat. This was her little convenient way of 'humming', not so easy to do on the marshy lands of Shadowclan, but she could bare it. Stopping after a few moments she looked towards the horizon to wait for the sun to begin to rise, her eyes already visualizing the beautiful colors she would see this time around.

Twilightblaze, like the others, was awoken by Brambleclaw's ruckus. She tried to bury her head back into her sister to sleep again, half listening to what was going on around her. Something about...Missing...Linnetsong....I bet Shadowclan took her...The female opened her eyes and pinned her ears back at the phrase and all but stopped breathing. She was a cross clan kit after all...Her and her siblings were part Shadowclan...Her mother saw something in her father so they couldn't all be that bad, could they? Though she had never met her father since he was in Shadowclan. And this situation might be the closes chance she'd ever get to going to see him.

"I'll help!" The young warrior blurted out as she stumbled across her siblings and out of the den.

Whether or not Midnightflight had fallen asleep the night before was a mood point. He never seemed to sleep in the den, off doing only starclan knew what. So it was no surprise to see the tom slinking over to the den, trying not to catch the attention of the ones that might be awake. More to the point, he was just checking on his daughter, making sure she was alright. Besides his uncle, she was the only thing he had...And his uncle had been acting weird enough lately! The tom peaked his head in the den, looking around until he found his daughter before moving back away into a shadow, watching the morning patrol wake from their slumber. He could tag along and help, or he could back to his sloothing. He'd have to mull this one over for a bit.

Berrysnow let out a squeak of surprise as loud voices woke her. She blinked her black eyes and raised her head to peek out of the warriors den. Not even light out and there was something up. She scuttled out of the crowded den and streched, clawing up some earth. She flicked her tail, the star charm waving with it.

"Whos missing?" she inquired, blinking curiously. since she was up, she wanted to at least make use of herself.

Foxtrot padded out of the warriors den, shaking some stray moss of his pelt and leisurely stretched his limbs. his eyes flickered back to the warriors den, where most cats were still fast asleep. He then turned to look at the couple of cats that were already up. They looked thin, even for leafbare. Shadowclan always had it the roughest, but somehow they always got through okay.

"Morning. Wasnt any other cat assigned to the dawn patrol?" He queried to no one in particular. It was a quiet morning and the frozen ground chilled his pads, causing him to shiver. He hated this horrid season, not only for its lack of prey, but he remembered his past most during this time of year. He didnt like thinking about how he was born a riverclan cat.

Crescenthallow nodded to Foxtrot before flicking her tail at the warriors den, meaning either they were still sleeping or contemplating on whether to come out yet or not. Glancing away she began to prod at the ground with her two front paws impatiently, wanting to leave soon. Get up get up get up! They didn't have all day! She pouted, they only had the morning! That's why they were the morning patrol! But of course she kept her mouth shut... not like she had a choice anyways. (^^; )

Blooddusk rose as silently as she could, shivering not with the cold but with excitement. She would have thought that the novelty had worn off by now, but it still surprised her when she woke up in a warm, crowded den. Careful not to step on any tails or bodies like she had the first morning, she squeezed her way out of the warrior's den. Her eager tail suddenly lowered when she saw the other warriors assembled for the patrol. "Sorry, Foxtrot," she mewed softly. She shuffled her paws, looking up at the early morning sky. She didn't mind the early hour to wake up; she was as eager as a newly-made apprentice to serve ShadowClan to the best of her abilities.

((Note: I haven't asked yet for her cert to be updated. She was accepted into the Clan a few weeks ago.))

"Linnetsong." Spiderheart replied to Berrysnow. He still was in shock. The only thing running through her mind right now was where could she be? And he was only half aware that he was blaming Shadowclan for all this. It makes sense, if one was willing to twist about logic. It could be payback for his and Fishertail's small attack on them, many moons ago. They were a vengeful little band of cats.

Brambleclaw was more focused on the cats that emerged from their dens. Rosethron, Twilightblaze, and Berrysnow. He'd think that this was a good enough patrol, but the distraught father would want more. He was glad that he never had kits, since his love for them would impair his thinking.

"Thank you." He said stiffly to the volunteers. The tom was also upset, but not so much that he could only think about the missing warrior. What if she was the first of many disappearances to come...?

Blinkchase glared at the happy, perky warrior that appeared right after her. How could she be so cheerful at a time like this? It was unthinkable!

Then she glanced away as she noticed more cats coming out. Did they need this many to hunt? Wouldn't it be better to wait until the afternoon, so less cats would get sick from the cold? She wondered who to blame for this. Foxtrot? He was the one that chose the Shadowclanners for the patrol.

"I think there's more. They're just slow in getting up." She said in her usual monotone voice.

Quailfeather ducked her head, ears drooped low as a dog's. Linnetsong! Where could she be? Not for the first time, she wished she and her siblings were closer. Then maybe she'd know...

"I'll tell Mom." she offered quietly. She slipped away before anyone could tell her not to, since a distraught she-cat was likely to cause an even bigger commotion than was happening right now.

But Fishertail had already woken. With a huge yawn the gray warrior slipped from her nest. The cold air hit her like a blow, squinching her eyes nearly shut, but they grew wide when she saw all the cats gathered. And Spidertail's expression. That was the giveaway. All the fur started to bristle along her body. "What's going on??"

Plumgaze lolled near the entrance of the warrior's den, just close enough to the heat that he wouldn't become a catsicle, but far enough to watch and gloat. "Going out to hunt?" he called to the patrol cheerfully. "Don't worry. We'll stay here and keep the den warm, for when you come back." He rested his head on his paws.

Frostbite was awoken by the noise of distress outside the den. Calmly she exited and gazed around the camp, taking everything in. It looked like a patrol was being made, but for what? Why did Spiderheart look so distraught? She listened intently and picked up enough to realize that a cat was missing.
"I'll help look," she offered, even though she wasn't aware of all the details yet.
She figured she'd learn them as they went on.

Swiftclaw yawned and stretched in the den. Wasn't he supposed to be on a morning patrol today?
He lazily got up and padded out of the den, the fur on his head all messed up. He was tired and hated morning patrols, especially in the cold, but he wouldn't let that show.
"Hello fellow clanmates. Ready to see how a real warrior hunts?"

BleedingMoon lay crouched by the entrance to the warrior den. His ears twitched, silver eyes opened small slits as to peer at hussel bustle of the awaking clan. "... Seems hunting partorls are bigger this leafbear." he muttered to himself tucking his 'blood' tipped paws under his black body. "They might even let me tag along." purred, his eyes closing again.

You see this ShadowClan warrior had the strange habit of sucking the blood out of the prey as he carried it back to camp. Was a bad habit of his, one that he was never able to brake. Due to his blood lust he was rarely sent on hunting patorls. Since most cats like their prey juicy.

Crash! Ow! Hiss! Thump! Was the sound made a Crashsmoke walked ....no rolled out of the warrior's den. He blinked at the commotion totally ignoring his own, just what was going on? Crash noticed his sister seeming ready for something and he planned not to miss out.

"Hey what's going on? What did I miss? Can I help? Is there something I can do? I can help?! I'm good at helping!" Crash spoke up while stumbling to stand beside his sister. "What'd I miss?" Crash whispered to Twilghtblaze giving a look of worry to Spiderheart.

It was when Midnightflight came to check on her, that Rumsplash woke up. It was his familiar scent, she had always been able to pick it up even from far away. She gave a mew and tried to roll back into sleep by burring her face into Onyxbatwing's pelt. Of all the cats in the clan he seemed to treat her like a sister, show she was comfortable around him. Either way it didn't work she was awake now...and hungry there would be no going back to sleep. She lumbered out of the den and glanced to see if there were any patrols left to join.

"Does hunting or border control need an extra warrior? I'm to hungry to go back to sleep....." Rumsplash said with a yawn.
