This planet was so much fun! And so much...different from hers! Xai was very glad she'd decided to make this her new home. The young Ursontaean was treating herself to ice cream today...although she felt the name was a bit misleading because she had yet to find a single cube of ice in it! Perhaps she should talk with the maker of this stuff to convince them that their product's name was false advertisement and they could get in trouble for that, but it was a delicious treat nonetheless. But the ice cream was the least of her worries! She'd decided to go shopping today because apparently her current dress wasn't quite as acceptable to all Gaians as it was to all Ursontaeans; this was something she found quite displeasing because the metal stars on her breasts and the soft green wrapped skirt didn't show anything inappropriate, so why was everyone telling her she was indecent? Hmph! People on this planet were so odd.

She had finished the first scoop of her ice cream, and hadn't even noticed that the bottom two scoops were melting and dripping, when she stopped in front of a peculiar store that had its door wide open. Huh? What was this? A Curiosities shop? Hm...now she was curious on what was inside! Xai paused to giggle at herself, thinking she knew exactly the purpose of this shops name; it got you curious so you'd go inside and buy something! Shaking her head at that, the young woman smiled and walked right into the shop, looking around for a moment. Wow! Everything was so...dusty...but she could swear she heard someone moving around in here. But there were so many strange items in here, and only some of them looked to be organized. Was this where things that were lost came to be found? That had to be the only answer, because she didn't see duplicates of everything like you would see in other stores. Xai licked at her ice cream and walked further into the shop, looking this way and that for the source of the noise. "Hello? Is there someone here?"

Oh! Good, so there was someone here. And she was almost as dusty as some of the other things here! Had there been a dust storm? How peculiar. It was unclear as to whether Xai actually noticed she was being gawked at or not, she probably just thought that this woman was gasping for air after being in the dust for so long. "My name is Xaisholimikoki...or...Xai for short." Honestly, she didn't think her name to be a mouthful. "Current owner? Have there been other owners?" Of course that answer wouldn't tell her what this place even was.

She was about to ask another question when she was given an inquiry of her own, blinking and staring at Switch. Cold? Why would she be cold? Xai turned to look outside and noticed for the first time that there was white stuff on the ground...oh...that was snow...snow was cold? She turned back to Switch and tilted her head. "No. Are you?"

"And it's very nice to meet you, Switch!" Switch seemed nice enough, albeit a little nervous for some strange reason, but everyone had their quirks! She licked at her ice cream a few more times while the other blue haired woman explained how there had been several owners of this place before she was given the task of caring for it. How interesting! Passed from grandparent to grandchild...did that make this place a family heirloom? Hm! How interesting! She just knew this planet would show her many interesting things. But when Switch said she wasn't cold either Xai furrowed her brow a bit and frowned behind her ice cream. So if she wasn't cold then why was she asking if Xai was cold? Was there something wrong with her? Perhaps Switch was supposed to be cold but she couldn't feel any coldness so she was worried that something was the matter with her so she had to ask someone else if they were cold to confirm her fears.

The whole thing now made perfect sense to Xai. She smiled again, looking back when she heard footsteps and saw a little boy walk in with a large grocery bag and a--what was that? She gasped softly and stared curiously at the hissing thing coming out of the little boy's skull. That was amazing! What was it? She looked up when she heard she was being introduced to the boy, smiling and waving her free hand at him. "It is very nice to meet you, Kay." Xai said as he walked off to disappear behind a desk, turning to Switch as she gave Xai permission to look around at all the things in the store. How fun! She couldn't wait to see what this place had! It was going to be so much fun!

Nodding to Switch, Xai turned and walked through the shop, looking at every little thing she passed. She caught a glimpse of a curly-haired child at the end of an aisle but he disappeared as soon as she realized he was there. That was odd. Oh well! Hm...ooh, this hat looked cool! But it would be bothersome to her. That was when something colorful caught her eye, blinking and stepping a few feet to her left to pick up a pair of black gloves with strange colorful things on the fingers. This looked like something that would be from her planet! But what was it? Hm...she wanted to put the glove on but she didn't know what to do with her ice cream. What to do what to do...oh! "Miss Switch?"

Xai stood and waited, contently licking on the slowly melting, dripping ice cream cone. At least she only had one scoop left now after taking a few actual bites out of the second one. It was yummy, she couldn't resist. But now Switch was here and she could hold her ice cream for her while she tried on the gloves! She didn't know of the impending doom that Switch was feeling right now, but Xai probably wouldn't have understood or paid notice to it even if she could.

So instead she held her ice cream cone out for Switch. "Could you please hold this? It is preventing me from making full use of both my hands so I may try on these gloves." The gloves were cool! She had to put them on and see what they did! They really looked like something from her planet, so it would be nice to have something like this to keep and possibly wear around.

No wait! Don't go! Had her question offended Switch? Xai frowned and looked around for a way to put her ice cream down without totally destroying it and anything around it. She wouldn't have this problem if she had chosen the cone with the flat button or had her ice cream put in a bowl, but she wanted a cone. But luckily Switch had come back wearing a latex glove so she could hold the cone, smiling brightly and handing her the delicious treat.

Switch sounded so serious just then. How odd. Nevertheless Xai picked up a match glove and put the pair on, holding her hands out and beaming. They fit! And they looked fantastic! "How do I..." She fiddled with one of the colored fixtures, gasping when it lit up in her face and pointed a blue beam of light wherever she pointed her finger. Amazing! It was perfect! "I love them!"

"I can?" That sounded like an amazing deal for something to intriguing! It seemed too good to be true...she couldn't just not give Switch anything in return for the gloves, but Xai had no money on her.

...But she had that deceptive ice cream. She'd paid for that, so it had to be worth something.

"You may keep the ice cream!" She said with a bit of finality. Obviously this decision wasn't up for negotiation and Xai wouldn't take 'no' for an answer on the matter. "I can't just take these free of charge, that would be unfair to you." She wasn't worried about returning the gloves. They were awesome! There was no way she'd be getting rid of these. "Well, thank you, Switch! I will thoroughly enjoy these!" Xai said cheerfully, waving to the woman and turning to leave without another word. Switch'd probably see her again in the future to find more cool things, so why should she say goodbye?
