Mid way into the week, Kyrin woke up earlier then normal. Shifting under her covers she sighed, it was too early to get up and make rounds, so instead she got up and took a long bath. At seven she stepped out of the bathroom and wrapped in a green towel and went into her closet. Surveying the clothing she thought about how she could never have enough clothes. She felt the racks of clothes with her hands idly, the felt wonderful beneath her hands. I wonder if Miles would like to go shopping soon. With the coming winter, Kyrin was feeling cooped up. She hated the cold and didn’t really want to venture outside, but her job entailed going to the bars daily so it really couldn’t be avoided. Deciding that she wanted to look nice today, Kyrin pulled out a knee length black dress that’s back dipped just past the middle of her back. She slipped it on and felt immediately happy. It made the idea of being up too early slip away from her mind. Looking at the full length mirror she smiled as she tied a small bow behind her neck. Looking at her reflection she noticed the color around her eye had become drastically less noticeable. She was now able to cover it up without Nori’s help. Stepping back into her closet, she selected a long gray jacket and tights to finish her outfit. The cold wouldn’t faze her in this jacket. She spent the next twenty minutes covering up her eye and putting on makeup before twisting her hair up into two buns. She smiled at her reflection and liked what she saw; with the exception of the brown contacts that stared back at her. Disgusting… She thought bitterly.
By the time she had finished with getting ready, the clock read shortly after eight. She slipped on high heels and grabbed her purse before heading out. She would start her rounds early today. She started at the first and by the time she got to the fifth it was after eleven. She had spent a good amount of time chatting with the bar keep and staying out of the cold. It was threatening to rain, and that was the last thing that Kyrin wanted to deal with. With the other reports safely in the car, Kyrin entered the fifth bar and greeted the barkeep warmly. His bar was one of those that was open at this time so there were a few people scattered about. Kyrin slipped off her jacket and laid it across the bar so she could talk to the barkeep. After they had been talking for a few minutes one of the bartenders comes came over and said, “Miss Kyrin. There is a man who says he’d like to speak with you.” And he pointed off into the bar.
Kyrin gave a look to the barkeep, who nodded, he would watch her back, and she made her way over to the man who’d asked for her attention. With her currently brown eyes curious, she moved up to the man and said, ”Can I help you?”

Draven had been ghosting Kyrin for a short while. He had found her current location through various whispers and rumors. It took a lot of time and quite a bit of effort, but finally he had managed it. Through the days that he managed to spot her at a few bars he managed to plan a rough route. Through this Draven began to study the times of which bars opened and closed, and how much she frequented them.
Today was finally the day that Draven would force an encounter onto Kyrin. He was homeless now, and tired of a life on the move. It was time to settle down again. Time for change. His attire today was, informal at best. The warn leather jacket had a musky smell to it. While his general appearance was haggard. His face was covered with close to a weeks worth of hair. His eyes sunken in with lack of sleep and high stress levels.
Draven sat in corner of the bar, his hunched form making the long black stands of hair dangle into his face; obscuring certain details. It was about a hours wait until Kyrin finally showed up, it didn't take Draven long to motion over the waiter and command him to bring her over. She moved with the same motions he'd remembered in his dreams.. Nightmares. She spoke to him, but as her face came in the light, Draven scowled, "What I have to say is for Kyrin only.", his voice was raw, as if he'd been speaking to much, "y'look like her, but your eyes.."

Kyrin folded her arms over her chest. "I'm Kyrin." Her words were blunt. "And I am on a very tight schedule, so if you need something, I suggest you spit it out." Something about the man tugged at her memory, but she couldn't quite place it. Who is it? She couldn't shake the feeling. Looking into his eyes she saw the acid green of a man that she once knew. Couldn't be. Wouldn't be. Why? She ordered the thought out of her head, but it came anyway, Draven?

Draven grunted and leaned forward towards her, although his appearance was rough and generally unclean, his breath smelled of mint, "I don't trust you, but I'm sure the word'll get back to her", he said in his raw voice. Draven let a small pause hang in the hair as the reached up and brushed away the raven hair the clung to his face, revealing the scar and more of his ragged face. From dark sunken sockets, the acid green eyes gleamed with the same intelligence they had so long ago, but the youth behind the eyes was long gone, "I knew Kyrin once", he said slowly as if unsure how to proceed, "she was a good girl. Pretty" Another pause. "I need to ask her of a favor, I'm not sure she'll be willing to listen", his voice lost it's raw tone, becoming strong. Forceful, but not in a direct way; as if he was once militia, "y'tell Kyrin, that Draven needs to speak with her. Got it?" As an after thought, Draven added, "Kyrin had a different eye color"

So it is. What is he doing here? And what the hell happened to him? Irritated by his utter lack of knowledge to the fact that she really was Kyrin, she leaned close to him and said, "And the Draven I knew was a lot less of a pain in the a**. They are called contacts. Now what is it you want? I have things to do." For the life of her, she couldn't figure out why she wasn't just leaving. Curiosity pulled at her though, Why was he looking for her? And why did he say that he knew her once as if she was dead?

Draven’s eyes narrowed into vile slits of acid green, “the Draven you knew is dead,” he said with bitter venom almost tangible, “I’ve reached the end of this road. I’m starting a new one”. Draven moved his face back from Kyrin, his scared face showing clearly in the bar light. The scar was one of the few on his body that still resonated red with hate, as if the wound wasn’t truly corporeal at all. As if it was mentally inflicted, that of course was not the case.
Draven’s eyes shifted back to a neutral stance as he awaited Kyrin’s reply, knowing full well that the way he was going; he wouldn’t get anything from her.

There was nothing for Kyrin to apologize for and even if there was, the words wouldn't pass through her lips for him. Shifting her hand to her hip she too leaned back away from him. The look on his face was dangerous, but she was not afraid of him. She could remember being afraid of him once since she had known him, but that was long ago. How long? But she couldn't remember. "And I am going to assume this new one includes me? In your head, that is. I am losing patience with you. We are both adults here, now let's hear what you came to say or you need to leave my establishment, at once." Her voice was level but it held a hint of command in it. The aura that had always been about her could truly be noticed with the tone she'd used now.

Draven let out a passive snort his face assuming an emotionless mask once again, the scar in the new light seemed less vicious, “I’ve come back to my employer”, he stated simply. If he was affected in the least by Kyrin’s new tone, he didn’t let it show. Draven finally took the effort to stand, his large frame caring his head above Kyrin’s. Although this would normally be intimidating, it didn’t seem so with Draven. With his face a blank mask, and his eyes seeming to almost glow, in contrast with his skin. It almost seemed as if he was plucked out of one of those sappy fantasy romance novels.
His black hair fell around his shoulders, clinging to them as if it was some sort of lichen.

"You up and left and you want me just to take you back? You've proven nothing but irreliable and offensive in the past." She said. Besides, it wouldn't be me taking him back, it would be Jaydn. But she kept that bit to herself for the time being. Maybe he had changed, but her mind kept bringing her back to the interactions that she'd had with Draven in the past, and they were't exactly pleasant memories.

Draven let out a breath, “I won’t plead my case to you”, he looked at her, his eyes narrowing to slits again, this time because of a shift in the light, and some unknown pushed the door to the bar open and sat down.
Draven turned his attention to Kyrin again, “I had—things”, he said slowly, “to take care of. It was of dire importance”. Draven was undoubtedly hiding something, it was all to obvious with his careful way of dancing around the topic.
Reflecting on the past for a heartbeat, Draven saw Kyrin’s worried face pass by his blurred vision, whispers of her voice invaded his mind, saying everything and nothing at once. The smell of her in close proximity, making the dream swirl and brining him back to earth, all in the span of a mere blink.

Kyrin sighed. She had always had a feeling about Draven; something that wouldn't let her not hear him out. She was curious about the way he acted and the way he led his life, something odd to her, since normally she could really care less. It must have been his character, but there was just something about him that made her feel like she ought to help him out. To throw him a bone, so to speak. She lowered her voice and leaned close to him again and said, "Look. I don't exactly run things anymore." Even though I never really ran anything... She thought bitterly.

Draven to the cue to be more conspiratorial as well, moving his fairly large frame towards Kyrin, “Don’t run things?” He whispered, “What exactly do you mean by that?” Draven’s features briefly reflected confusion, and then were quickly swept away by his blank looking expression. Odd, he thought, Kyrin’s lost her throne… This might get difficult. Draven started to feel a little unsure of his plan now, no sources he talked to said anything about Kyrin not being the leader anymore. He let out a mental sigh and steeled his resolve to stay, I have to this time. I have to, for him..

Kyrin took a long moment before she responded so that she could keep the bitterness from her voice. She was able to keep her emotions out of her words when she finally replied, "I work under my cousin." She said softly. With a quick glance over her shoulder she nodded to the barkeep behind the counter and he visibly relaxed, still keeping an eye on the two, but going back to his duties as well. She sat, motioning to him to do the same, before continuing, "Let's just say I haven't the authority over people that I once had." It wasn't to say that she didn't have any at all, but she had been sorely stripped of her ability to tell people what to do and have them actually do it.

Draven stared at Kyrin for a moment, his expression unreadable, “that can be changed”, he stated simply. Draven slid himself back into the chair, crossing his arms around his large chest again. His stubbled face twisting itself up in thought before he continued on, “I have come to rejoin you. If that is as impossible as you say, then we may have to create new alternatives”. Draven was easily implying that he would end the life of her cousin, if that is what she wanted. The blunt question was masked behind the tangle of words.
