What's it about?
Miles is set with the task to go to the casino to attempt some negotiations and decides to bring Kyrin with him as some sort of date.

In the cold light of morning, Miles awoke with closed eyes. He rolled over to see blurry red numbers on the bedside clock, and He rubbed a hand lazily over his face before reaching a hand out for his glasses. There wasn't an alarm, but his body naturally woke up at early hours. It was almost 4 o'clock, so it was high time he got up to begin morning rituals.
Pushing the sheets away, he pulled on pants and sat back down on the bed, lighting a cigarette from the pack on the bed stand. The dry click of the lighter echoed loudly in the room. Turning his head, Miles checked to see if his bedfellow was still there. Kyrin's small shoulders were turned away from him. He stared at her back; Her long hair looking very pretty draping down it.
"Kyrin. " He said quietly.

Kyrin shifted slightly when he called her name, muttering softly, "Hmm?" She rolled over, clutching the blanket gently against the cold of the bedroom, she hated the cold, and looked at him with sleepy glacier eyes. "W-what time is it?" She asked in a low voice, as she sat up, settling her back against the bed frame. Even though she knew that Miles would wake her up when he awoke so that she could trudge back to her room unnoticed, it was still a wonder to her how he managed to get up this early without an alarm blaring in his ear. In the past two days, Kyrin's black eye had gotten noticeably lighter and a lot less painful and she was now able to cover it up almost completely with make up with Nori's help. Rubbing her good eye sleepily she looked over at Miles.

Miles turned his glance away when she looked at him. It was hard to keep a straight face when she looked at him disheveled like that. He stood up again and walked over to his closet to grab a shirt. "Four. " This was usually the part where Kyrin would slip on her clothes and go to her room, as he finished his cigarette, brushed his teeth, shaved, ect. But he really didn't mind, and actually preferred if she took her time leaving. Even if she didn't say anything, it was much better than the overbearing silence that he had previously been used to. Miles took the shirt off the hanger and returned to Kyrin to talk. " Are you busy tonight?" he asked casually.

Kyrin yawned, Four? Sometimes it seemed earlier and earlier that he would wake up, but Kyrin knew that was probably just her being tired and not wanting to get up. Knowing Miles, Kyrin was almost surprised that he slept at night with her as long as he did. They hadn't actually gone to sleep until around midnight, so it was more like a long nap, but it was still more then she'd expect he'd want to sleep. She was about to get out of bed to grab her under garments when the morning started differently then most of their mornings did. Choosing instead to stay under the warmth of his blankets, Kyrin began combing out her hair with her hands, "Not that I am aware of. Why?" She was beginning to wake up slowly, but the sickening feeling in the pit of her stomach told her that once this conversation was over she was going back to sleep in her own bed.

" Jaydn is having me go to the Stardust casino to scope things out and get in contact with Ortega. It's a pretty lax job so I was wondering if you wanted to come along. I was thinking of trying out the restaurants there as well." He looked down to button his shirt, waiting for her reply. It was an actual opportunity to have a nice time with her under the guise of work. Two birds with one stone maybe, but Miles had been meaning to properly take her out for a while. It was an inkling in the back of his skull, that it would be nice to actually have Kyrin as a friend, a companion. Most of that was drowned out however, by that fact that this would probably never go beyond a physical relationship and both would probably drop it when they got bored of each other. They worked together and just happen to find each other attractive, using it to their advantage. They both knew this. But even still, the inkling persisted. This was a safe way to satisfy that inkling without being too direct. Miles didn't have the desire to be shot down.

Kyrin watched him button his shirt, having half a mind to get up and help him with it, and thought over his proposal. It would be nice to get out again. It would be a job, but they would have dinner and likely gamble, two things that appealed to Kyrin. It was a plus that it would be with Miles. Although Kyrin wouldn't allow herself to admit it, Miles was attractive to her in more then just a sexual way. Not trusting herself to take things further then their current relationship, Ky had contented herself with the idea that they would simply share a bed, some sweet words in passing, and time shopping [which was one of their favorite pass times]. "I heard that they had some pretty good food there." She said, shifting and placing her feet on the ground. The blanket slipped from her body, revealing her slim form and she searched for her clothing. As she began to put them on she looked up at him, "I'd love to join you, a night of fun sounds fantastic." Although the tiredness had disappeared from her eyes, Kyrin still felt the heaviness of sleep about her, but this talk of the casino had her attention completely.

Miles started putting on his belt and slowed to a snail's pace as he unashamedly looked Kyrin over. He half-wondered if she did that on purpose.
Even though she would have most likely said yes to going out, it was a relief to hear her say it anyways. Kyrin genuinely seemed to look forward to it, so Miles decided he would make it something worth looking forward too.
" Alright, then we should leave around nine, but earlier or later doesn't matter, so just call me when you're ready."
He really couldn't stall any longer, and bending down towards her, decided a small kiss would be okay before getting himself together.

The kiss caught her off guard as she was buttoning her pants. Sweet nothings. She reminded herself, but she couldn't help but breath in his scent. The smoke masked it well, but Kyrin was beginning to get past that. She smiled at him before pulling a hair tie from her pocket and tying her hair up in a pony tail that would give little indication to anyone who might see her that she had just woken up and started towards the door. Stopping just before she opened it she turned and asked, "What should I wear?"

Miles also turned, at the sound of her voice. He thought for a minute, but replied simply, "Be classy. Be yourself. " He trusted Kyrin's judgment when it came to such things. Besides that, she could wear pretty much anything and pull it off. He turned back around, going into the fluorescent glow of the bathroom.

Kyrin settled on a low cut and form accentuating but comfortable halter dress, that fell just short of her knees. She had asked Nori to cover up the darkness that still resided around her eye and once he was done, she looked into the mirror in awe. The person looking back at her was herself again and not someone with a glaring beacon of a fight on their face. With a contented sigh she applied faint eye shadow and put on some perfume. Kyrin had spent half an hour after Nori had finished curling her hair and it fell in large soft curls down her bare back. Slipping on heels, Kyrin looked at her appearance in her full length mirror. She dialed Miles as the time turned to slightly after nine.

Miles worked quietly at the desk in his room, doing 'recreational' work before setting off on his other business destination for the night. At the buzz of his phone, Miles answered quickly, closing his laptop and setting it aside. He had been dressed half an hour early and was glad she was right on time. " Hello Kyrin. " he said. "If you're ready, I'll meet you in the hall." He had told her to call in case he was in his office, but he was anticipating the evening and went to his own room instead. It was quite convenient having rooms somewhat close.
Feeling sharp in his classy Dior clothes, he stepped into the hall, waiting for Kyrin to make her appearance.

"Yeah I'm ready." Kyrin flipped her phone shut and grabbed the purse that she'd selected to go wit her outfit. Glancing at her appearance one more time she contemplated putting in the brown contacts that Jaydn and Maddox had said she should wear but decided she no longer had to wear them. After all, she hadn't worn them the night she'd gone to Bills. She fixed her hair ever so slightly and walked out into the hall. Kyrin locked her door before looking Miles over. Her lips curved into a smile, "Dior, very nice." She commented, walking over to him. The dress that Kyrin wore was one she'd bought at Victoria's secret a few weeks before and hadn't had a chance to wear and the way the fabric flowed around her as she walked made her happy.

Miles smiled at her comment and felt a small bit of satisfaction in seeing her walk over. She seemed to have spent a good deal of time making herself gorgeous for him. He knew that he didn't need to make a comment because his eyes always spoke for him. They exchanged looks, and with a hand on her waist, walked to the elevator.

The outside of Stardust every bit as enjoyably gaudy as the inside. It felt like a Vegas casino, with star-themed flashing lights and glittering surfaces. All sorts of people came out of the woodwork of the city to come here, laughing and showing off their outfits, jewelry, arm candy, and anything else. Gambling was such a social occasion.
The constellation-themed ceiling blinked back all the lights from down below, as the couple walked towards the indoor restaurant; Miles and Kyrin looking as convincing as lovers could be. They waited to be seated; the dining and bar area considerably more toned down than the gambling area, but still star-themed. A large chandelier in the center of the room had many threads of small crystals hanging delicately from the center holding. The main decor seemed to revolve around the chandelier, but the second most striking feature was that one entire wall was an enormous tank with exotic fish. They glided along, most of which were colors chosen to match the surrounding of blue, white and black.
Now that they were seated, the waitress asked what the lady and gentlemen would like to drink.
