Hyphy = stupid, as in, really stupid. It is also a style of...not sure. Perhaps dance/dress/music, like punk, only not so long lived as punk. It's a flash in the pan, specific to Northern California's Bay Area.
So it made me laugh hard when I came across this sweet Gaia profile. Especially the paragraphs from his two friends. You cannot make this stuff up, and yet it seems vaguely put-on. I'm sure they all speak normal English when forced to.
