Hooves met ground before paws did, and this was the way it always happened, his fore feet sank, just a touch, in to the ground below him, creating two divotts in the soil before silent back paws found their way to the ground leaving not a trace in the soil.
"Welcome home Gobo." Palahala smiled as he pulled himself to a gentle stop and lowering himself to the ground and looking back at the klispringer which had travelled upon his back all the way from the ailimakabila.

The big male klipspringer leapt from palahalas back, a smile grased his muzzle as he touched ground. This was home. He had completed his task in the outside world. Galanthus was safe and sound in a pride and she was old enough to care for herself. Now it was his time.
Taking a deep breath he leapt high in to the air enjoying the predator free zone.

Having left the now grown fawns to their devices, Zebadie trotted through the herds lands happily. She never restricted herself to just the rocks, though that was where she felt most comfortable. As the head of Palahalas herd she liked to patrol.
This patrol brought palahalas landing to her attention. She chuckled softly. He was so much better than he used to be, but who was with him?
Squinting against the bright sun she started to trot towards the two whom had landed upon ehr turf.

Lifting his young head the little hoofed god chuckled as he spotted the large black and white klispringer trot over the rise. "It seems your lady had a premonition." The young god chuckles happily and nudges at Gobo. "Go to her my friend."
He smiles sitting down his back paws folding neatly under his tail "Zebadie!" He calls with a grin "Look who's here!"

Gobo stopped mid leap, this was an awkward sort of manoeuvre and he landed spread eagled as if he were a young buck rather than a seasoned male. Looking upon the stripped figure of his mate though brought feeling back to his wobbly legs and he raced towards her.
"Zebadie!" He chuckled hop skipping towards the herds leader, his head held high displaying his proud antlers for the whole world to see.

Zebadie paused for only a moment, awestruck at what she was seeing. Gobo had been gone from her sight for so long she could almost not believe her eyes. A smile graced her lips and a tear washed over her cheek as she raced towards her male, her wonderful beautiful male, her mate returned at last.

At last his nose touched the striped females side and he wrapped his neck around hers in a loving embrace. "I'm here at last" he whispers nuzzling the large stripped female. How have you been?"
A roguish grin rose on his maw and he wondered did he have children he was coming home to or had their original meeting gone unblessed?

"Oh Gobo, I am so glad you are back!" She croons, loosing all of her cockiness, all of her head strong flavour if for only a moment as she pressed her form in to the chocolate brown male.
A chuckle rose from her though as he asked to her well being. "You know it's quite difficult giving birth to FIVE fawns." She beamed a proud glint in those golden eyes. She was very pleased with her litter, event hough they could be a handful. "They are nearly grown now. They are such a beautiful bunch though, oh Gobo, you have to come and meet them!"

"Fu..fu..five?" Gobo looked at the black and white stripped female unbelievingly his own dark eyes almost popping from his skull. "I have never heard of such a large litter!" Shaking his dark head he waggled his ears. "Five..I suppose we have a large family don't we." He chuckled and nuzzled the female happily.

Zebadie laughed heartily "yes five." She smiles though only for a moment the smile swiftly washes from her face "Wait, are you only here for a visit Gobo?" Her ears fell suddenly, a down cast air washing over her.
"I don't think I could stand it if you left again!" She wnispered draping her head around his neck again holding on to him in the only way she could.

Gobo looked surprised at the sudden softness of his mate, ehr vulnerabilities, he knew she was loving but this was a need, a need for him. grooming her neck with his teeth the big male crooned.
"Hush now Zebadie, I'm not going any where, galanthus is settled in a pride, she is safe and secure and she will forever be safe. I'm home for good."

Zebadie lifted her head a watery smile rolling across her face, her eyes glassy from holding back tears. "Then you are finally safe." She whispers touching her nose to his. For a long moment she stands her nose upon her mates, for a long moment happy to simply be beside him knowing he was finally in a safe place instead of out in the cruel dangerous world.
"Come, you have to meet the fawns." She whispers, breaking away from him with a short swift leap.

Gobo chuckled quietly nipping at her hocks as she leapt away from him. "Yes, I'm coming." He grins looking back at the seated god. "Are you joining us Palahala?" He lifts a brow waiting for the young gods answer, his head high his tail raised. He was finally home and nothing could make him feel more alive.

Palahala rose slowly to his feet, dragging his hooves through the grasses slightly he smiled and shook his head. "No my friend, I need to visit my own family, you have fun, i will see you later." The young god smiled and swished his antelope like tail before leaping in to the sky.
It gave him great pleasure to see Zebadie so happy, reunited with her lost lover.

Gobo gave a short sharp nod. "Thankyou Palahala, for bringing me home!" He called to the receding shape of the young god. His chest welled with pride as he turned and leapt after the black and white shape of his mate. "So five fawns huh?" he chuckled prancing away shoulder pressed against his long missed love.
