I really want to role-play but where to begin, how to get started - could anyone give me a few tips or point me to a good guide? ^^
think of good descriptions, remember that poor typing skills can be frowned upon, sentence structure, and word play is key. So remember everything you hated in English class. A good example of a descriptive role play, will paint a picture on some ones head when they read it, it will give them the same emotions, and thoughts, remember that when people read your posts, that they are trying to understand your character. So even when your not trying to give much away about him or her, that should be shown in a way that says he/she doesn't like to talk much about his/her life.
If you were to focus on something I would say focus on the scenery. Knowing where the person is standing in the room, forest, water, or where ever he/ she is can help you to create an emotion or action that fits your style, thus giving other readers the chance to understand you more as well.
