Sozin was prancing around around like she was queen of the freaking world, her tail whipping from side to side every time she turned. Her golden eyes narrowed as she stopped and jumped up, landing on top of a large rock; her claws fully extended. She let out a roar, her chest puffed outward and large. She feared nothing, no one could stop her, nothing. She held herself highly, very very highly.
The day was hot and the evening dull. She needed to find something to do, and quickly too, her sights were set on the stars.

Paws trod lightly on the desert sands, tail twitching with each step, red eyes intent in the fading light. Darkness, it was the perfect time to explore, to hunt. The day had grown late, her mother would likely come looking for her soon, but she didn't care, wasn't afraid. Go home where her brothers were? Hah! never. The night was hers, and she intended to enjoy it.
Her nose twitched, scenting the air, eyes searching for any sign, watching for disturbances in the sands. In the desert, most creatures only came out at night, she intended to find them, to catch one, to prove that she was the greater hunter, the greater fighter. She was strong, proud, and she would prove it.
She paused, ears flicking, there was someone else nearby. Her eyes narrowed, tail twitching with a snap, if it was her brother she was going to tear him to shreds!

Sozin frowned and flipped herself around, attacking her own tail playfully- but something grabbed her and pulled her away from her own games. With perked ears the young lioness frowned and quickly jumped down from her rock, snarling slightly, unaware of who was coming toward her. She could smell it though, the scent of another. A smirk curled along her maw as she spoke out with a head held high, calling out to whoever was drawing near.
"Who goes there?"
Her voice was strong, she didn't fear the unknown.

The cub stood as she was, firm, tail, eyes straining to see in the darkness, to catch some hint of whomever had addressed her. She was calm, unafraid, she refused to flinch.
"Who wants to know?"
Her voice was cold, no hint of nervousness in her tone, more a demand than a question, as if to ask who dared disturb her. That cold voice, the lack of fear, perhaps it was a trait inherited from her father.
Anarore snorted to herself, she wasn't going to let some voice interrupt her fun. Another flick of her tail, the cub stepped forward again, searching the sand for scents. And if the other didn't like it, well tough, they could just get over it.
Though she could not help a sense of curiosity. Whoever it was was certainly not one of her brothers or her sister, then who was it? Maybe someone interesting.

"Sozin."
She spoke out her name, as if to answer the question asked. She smirked and flicked her tail from side to side, still standing still.
"You should come closer, eh. So I can see who i'm talking to."
The young female didn't want to start trouble, if anything she wanted a cure from this dull night; things were so uneventful she longed for any kind of interaction, any. Her bright eyes glowed in the dark as she narrowed them onto the oncoming form of the other lion; there she awaited a reply.

"Anarore."
Short, to the point. Sozin had said her name, Anarore had answered, it was how it should be.
By the time Sozin had finished speaking, Anarore had stepped within view, halting only when she was close enough to make out the other features. She was a cub, like herself, probably the same age, the same size, another girl. Excellent, a girl her age that wasn't her sister, a smirk, she liked that.
Yet it was almost eerie, though they were not sisters nor related (at least as far as she knew), they looked amazingly alike, paws, mirroring each other, streaks in their tails, it was odd. Well, it didn't matter did it?
"What're you doing?"
A touch of curiosity in her voice, red eyes focusing on amber. Maybe they had been meant to meet tonight, or she might have thought that if she believed in such things.

"I was plotting."
Sozin nodded at Anarore, sitting back down as the faced the new female. It was true, they were somewhat alike in colors and markings, but, she didn't think a thing of it. A smirk, much like Anarore's crept along Zin's maw as she spoke out again with narrowed eyes.
"And you?"
Her golden eyes traced along the other female slowly as she took in her features, stopping at her eyes. Red; what a perfect color.

"Hunting, this is the best time for it."
She spoke with no hesitation, no thought of whatever insult she would have thrown at her brother had he asked such a question. She spoke as if it was the most normal thing, there was no need to question herself or Sozin. They were just girls, doing what -they- wanted to do.
Like Sozin, she too had settled back on her haunches, watching, focused on her eyes, as if trying to read them as one would read a book. Or maybe she was just captivated, she had met a friend, she was sure of that.
"What were you plotting about?"
Plotting huh, that sounded like fun. She plotted sometimes too, like how to get rid of her stupid annoying brother, that was a plot she liked.

"I was plotting was to get back at my, well, pain in the a** siblings. They ran off today and left me behind. I do not mind much-being alone, but it's a rude thing to do, I think-leaving me without notice. I'll get them back though. They will be sorry for leaving me."
She spoke with such deep passion, as if she was looking forward to her little return gift. As she spoke her grin only grew more wide, her tail tapping at her side.
"Ah, hunting. It really is the best time for that. Any luck?"
She questioned her new friend, with a slight smile.

Anarore listened as her friend spoke, answering with a small nod of her head. Ah, yes, siblings, she knew the pain of them well. Annoying creatures, always disturbing her when she wished to be left alone, never sharing treasures, forever in her way, oh how she hated her brother.
"It's their lose then, you don't need them, you're much better than they are."
A flick of her tail, words spoken with conviction, there were no truer words to be spoken. Though she had never met Sozin's siblings, that was how it was, she was much better than any of them, nothing could ever convince her otherwise.
"Nothing yet, but I was on the trail of something."
A sly smirk spread across her maw as she stood to step closer before settling to sit again, ah such devious thoughts. Hunting, plotting, what if they joined together and did both. Oh the fun they could have, and maybe together they could both get back at those stupid siblings.
An excellent idea, it was going to be a good night.

Sozin stood and purred at the thought, her tail batting from side to side harshly as she gave her female friend a toothy grin, smirking all the while.
"Well, what are we standing around here for? Let's move."
Anarore was right. Their lose, not her own. Soz felt better thinking of it that way, with a smirk the young lioness moved beside Ana and gave her a slight nod of the head, as if to say lead the way.

A smirk spreading across her own maw, Anarore rose to her paws, standing proudly at her friend's side with a flick of her tail. Oh yes, the thoughts that danced in her mind, the night was about to meet a new terror, Anarore and Sozin.
"They won't know what hit them."
Amazing how some things just worked out. A simple meeting, one another creature might have thought nothing of, a short conversation, a common bond, there was the forging of a powerful bond, friends who from that day on would be inseparable.
Such fun they would have together, spreading mischief, terrorizing siblings (or any others who earned their wrath for that matter), they would all regret the day they had ever dared to mess with Anarore and Sozin.
Firekin girl power, best friends forever, Ana and Zin.
