True Love
(This is a published poem)
I'll give you a hug.
I'll give you a kiss.
But right now,
Please answer me this.
Do you love me?
Or do you not?
You told me once,
But I forgot.
So tell me now.
And tell me true.
So I can say,
I love you, too.
Now if I die before you do,
I'll go to heaven and wait for you.
And if you're not there on Judgement Day,
I'll know you went the other way.
I'd get the angels back my wings,
And risk the loss of everything.
Just to prove our love is true,
I'd go through hell to be with you.
The date may be off. I wrote this when I was young and did not date it in the notebook I found it in.
