There will be a remake of the first three novels to incorperate aspects of the movie (in November, I think). This will probably include photos from the movie replacing the fantastic illustrations. How does this information effect the members of this society?

I ask that those who have more knowlege on this topic correct any mistakes I have made. These potential mistakes may have grown from a very minute presence of related information at my disposal.

The movie based books are already out, they came out in October. ( here's the link) I don't really have a problem with it as long as I'm still able to buy the original ones.

I severely hope that is not true. I don't see why they would do that, seeing as it's never happened to book-to-movies before...ever. At least as far as I'm aware.

It's the same thing it's just that they changed the pictures.

bluecelebi It's the same thing it's just that they changed the pictures. How dreadful. While I am glad that "they" have not tampered with the particulars of the prose, I am both deeply suprised and slightly saddened that the Voyeuristic Factual Drawings have been preempted, even if only in this edition.

You can't blame them though. Commercialism is so high and they thought that selling something like that would get tons of more people to buy the books.

Yeah, they do that with just about every book turned into a movie, I was expecting.. (look at Lord of the Rings.) It could be worse I suppose.
