Field Information
The battle takes place in a meadow on the edge of the woods. There is tall grass and many flowers to hide in, as well as a few jagged rocks. Those who seek refuge among the trees will find maneuverability difficult. Because of a recent rainfall, the ground is muddy and wet in some places.

Zinnia marched through the meadow, sploshing through mud puddles and smashing the grass. She was on an important mission, and she wasn't going to let this hot, humid meadow stop her! "Do you see anything, Zyk?" she called.
Zyk, quite obviously, could not literally see a thing. He used echolocation, however, and could "see" shapes using that. He found an interesting shape that he was sure was a pokemon. Flying ahead of his human, he went to investigate. If this pokemon intended on hurting Zinnia, he would have to defeat it.

The Shaymin was tending a flower nearby, cleaning the mud off of it and whatnot. With a chirp, it straightened up and uncurled its leaves a bit, satisfying her. There were a lot of plants to take care of, but she didn't mind. It was what kept her busy during the day.
She froze as she heard something sloshing through the mud. Footsteps! And flapping of some Pokemon's wing! She tried to get away, hide somewhere, before whoever it was could find her. Though they're going to mess up all her hard work, she had to be concerned for her own safety now.

Zinnia marched right on through, stomping the new grass into the mud. Her shoes frequently slipped, sending a small pile of mud up and leaving a deep footprint. She didn't mean to be destructive; she just didn't notice it. She was merely walking along. Zinnia and Zyk were getting closer and closer to Bryghtstar's hiding spot.
Zyk went back to Zinnia and gave her a warning shriek. When Zinnia stopped, Zyk started forward again, this time more cautiously. He flew lower and squeaked at faster intervals in order to "watch" Bryghtstar more carefully. Was this a threat or not? Zyk landed on the long grass and wobbled forward to get even closer.

Bryghtstar was huddled in a log, watching the girl and her Zubat come closer. She couldn't run without have them see her, so could either stay where she was, hoping that they wouldn't find her where she was, or fight.
The shaymin trembled where she was for a minute before Zyk turned and 'gazed' at her. She lost all control she had and unleashed a Psychic attack, something that her human friend taught her a while back.

Zyk was blasted back before he could even react. He soared high into the air, attempted to regain his balance, and fell with a thump back onto the grassy ground. Dazed, he got back up. That was definitely a threat to his trainer! He shot a beam of greenish light flying foward to hopefully hit the Shaymin-- a Leech Life.
Zinnia hurried forward. Where was Zyk? It sounded like a battle had begun! Zyk didn't squeak like that unless there was danger.

Now she remembered why she didn't like Zubats that much. Especially when they were attacking her! Bryghtstar felt some of her health being absorbed and whimpered a bit. She better finish this fast before that human figures out what's going on and makes things harder.
So she hurled more psychic energy at him while scurrying father into her log. That last blow was a killer, maybe this one would persuade him to go away.

Zyk's entire body throbbed in pain, and it was only the second attack! But he was determined to protect his human and gave chase to the grass pokemon. He opened his mouth and squeaked even louder and faster than usual on an extremely high-pitched frequency. He was using the attack Supersonic to confuse his foe.
Zinnia held her head as the supersonic attack faintly settled in her ears. It went straight through her head and out the other ear like a knife. "Ouch... Headache..." she moaned. But it sounded like Zyk was moving away. In a minute or two, Zinnia would be on her own until Zyk came back.

The supersonic disoriented Bryghtstar enough to make her stumble out of her hiding place. Her vision was all blurry from the pain and she could still hear the buzzing even after the move was finished.
It was really hard for her to face the Zubat and aim effectively. So she started releasing some sweet scent that was relaxing to everyone around. It would clear her mind of the confusion if the Aromatherapy worked like how it was suppose to.

Zyk listened carefully, then rejoyced a little when the attack failed and instead hurt the user. He fired another Leech Life down on the confused Shaymin, hoping to weaken it more. He also looked forward to the health to be gained from the attack, for he was tired still.
"Zyyyyyyk!" called Zinnia unhappily. "Come back, Zyk!"
The Zubat heard his trainer's cries, but ignored them. He must eliminate the threat first!

Bryghtstar felt the p***k of more life being leeched away, but she was too dazed to think much of it. She also heard someone shouting, though she couldn't understand it that much with the haze of confusion over her mind. It sounded something like "Waaaaaaaaah wah wah wah!" to her.
The last move didn't clear up anything, so she tried the Aromatherapy again, not sure if it would work this time.

Zyk shot down another Leech Life as quickly as he could. It appeared that the confusion had been cleared! He would have to be very careful now.
Zinnia decided to stop yelling. She sat down on a convenient rock and moodily scraped some mud off one boot by using the other. Zyk would come back soon, so she might as well wait.

Now that her senses were cleared up, Bryghtstar could see another Leech Life coming and rolled out of the way. She wouldn't let the Zubat continue sucking her life for his own purposes! That's just mean!
She was starting to get more serious about battling than just running away or hiding. The shaymin didn't crawl under the log again as it used another Psychic attack against her foe.

Although Zyk couldn't "see" the attack coming, he swerved around in the air anyway, knowing that it was coming. He managed to dodge it and fired another Leech Life. He needed all the strength he could get.
Zyk flew a little lower so he could shoot into the log.
