Lost. There was no other word for it. First she'd wandered off, still haunted by that horrible, horrible cheetah. And then she'd found that leopard, who'd seemed nice at first...but had then started saying strange things about how the nasty cheetah wasn't finished with her yet, and that had upset the impressionable young juvenile even further. So badly, in fact, that she'd run off blindly, and was now unable to find her way home. She'd been searching for aaages, and she just couldn't find anything familiar! With a loud sob she'd resigned herself to being lost forever, falling to the ground with her paws over her eyes, sobbing softly.
She was never going to see her family again! She'd get eaten by some horrible creature and they'd just think they'd run away from her! Unable to stop her somewhat over-active imagination, Leilani's sobs only got louder - although perhaps this wasn't such a bad thing?

Ganix sometimes had a tough job keeping an eye on seven children. His only son was no trouble but those girls. He sighed heavily and looked out over the area he currently was in. He wagged his orange tail...but the movements was somewhat irritated. And he was irritated...how can just cubs be so stupid and run off?
Ganix hadn't seen Leilani for a very long while and she was not old enough to take care of herself yet. The blue and oranged coated male blamed his playboy imaged he had had before he met Keo. But seven cubs? that still shocked him sometimes. Sure Keo was bigger then him and it was no trouble for her carring a big litter of cubs but seven?
Just a little while ago he tought he had picked up Lei's scent but he wasn't 100% sure...
" Hmm where could she be?... "

Wait...that scent! It couldn't be! Leilani paused, sobs ceasing for a moment as he lifted he nose to the air, wriggling it in an attempt to pick the scent up again. With a gasp, she set off running, leaping over logs and bursting through the vegetation, until she finally ran headlong into her father. She was rather startled at first, freezing in fear to look up at the stranger, but the bright colours soon became familiar as she buried herself into his coat, wailing loudly.
"Papa!"
All the emotions - the fear, the depression, the worry, and this happiness just now - well. It was all too much for the small leopardess to handle.

Atleast Ganix got his doubts confirmed when his daughter finally found him instead. He guessed he was right then she had been somewhere close to here. Ganix at first wanted to yell at her how could she be so stupid she was to small to take care of herself yet...but he put a paw around her small little body and just sat there for a while without saying anything...
" Do you know how worried i have been? not just me but your mother and your siblings as well "
Of course he as angry but he was also relived that she was safe again. She could go on adventures like this when she got older but not now. Or maybe he should never let her go after this? a part of him wished for that but he knew that wasn't possible at all she had her own free will and would live the life she wanted to live after she had grown up. Oh well Lei seemed to take advanted of some things now already.

Leilani barely heard his words, she was too busy snuggling into his coat, struggling to contain the sobs that broke from her maw. It was him - it was really him. He would protect her - that big mean cheetah wouldn't be able to hurt her anymore. Her Papa would protect her. He scolded her, but it was quite lightly, Leilani's small body shuddering with the sobs that coursed through her system.
"I was so scared, Papa! The b-big mean cheetah, a-and he said I had to leave you, a-and then I couldn't find you and I thought you'd g-g-goooone!"

Ganix was mad but also relived atleast she was safe now and he would bring her back home. Then MAYBE in the future she could go off by her own. But Ganix wasn't that sure about it maybe not within the closest 100 years...
" What cheetah? i have no idea what you are talking about but you should never trust strangers like that. You are not old enough to decide of someone is dangerous for you or not.. "
Hopefully now his daughter her learned from her mistake and would never do it again. But he knew how it was he used to be a playboy himself before. He didn't care what the female tought he just took what he wanted but lucky for him Keo had changed him before he went to far...

Never trust strangers? Yes, she remembered mother telling her that, a long time ago. Usually she would have protested at anyone telling her she was too young, but right now she didn't care, all she did care about was that her Papa was here, and she was hugging him, and didn't have to leave him.
"Papa, don't leave me. Please don't leave me," she whispered, her words almost carried away by the wind they were so quiet. She looked up to her father with her wide amber eyes, still shining with the fear, "Can we go home?"

Ganix tought that his daughter probably had learned a very good lesson even if it was a dangerous one. Even if he was a little mad he was still happy that she was safe.
" I wont leave you...and i think going home sounds like a good idea "
He gave her a smile and a lick on her forhead but he would keep a better eye on this girl now. Until she was big enough to take care of herself but Ganix didn't want any of his babies should grow up but they would eventually.
" I think your mother is worried as well but i am glad you are safe...let's go "

He wasn't going to leave? She wasn't going to have to leave him to become a princess? She didn't want to be a princess, not if that horrible crazy cheetah was king. She huddled close to her father, nodding in agreement at going home. She purred at the affection shown, following her papa as he lead the way home. "I'm sorry, Papa." she apologized, sad she'd caused her family grief. But she'd give her mother a big warm hug, to make it all better!
Smiling a little, Leilani bounced after her father, happy to be returning home.
